“Where’s Issac?”
“Haven’t you heard?”
“Heard what?”
“He had a run in with your brother's friend Bryce then he had a full blown fight with your brother.”
“He what?”
“Straight up kitten.”
Simone glared angrily at Theo angrily. “We’re not tripping Courtney. Your brother cornered him thinking he’d back down but no one knows Isaac like we do. He never backs down from no one. He was angry that that Bryce guy confronted him literally telling him to stay away from you cause he was flirting with you and you didn’t need his crap then your brother just happened to rile him up even more.”
“I’m going to kill them!‘“ I humed angrily how dare they! I don’t talk down to their friends so they should respect mine. I went to storm away. Theo pulled me to him wrapping his arm around. Me protectively. “Calm down kitten Issac can take care of himself, we’re all still friends and they can’t stop it or break it so please calm down.”
“Where is Issac, I need to talk to him?”
“At home by now angel he got suspended, so did your brother.”
“I can’t believe he would do this. I told him to stay out of my business.”
“He only cares for you angel.”
“If he cares that much he’d let me make my own friends, make my own mistakes and not call me a leech.”
“He what?!”
“He called me a leech.” I said, trying to hold back the tears already forming in my eyes.
Theo hugged me tighter. “I'm sure he didn’t mean it Angel.”
“He meant every word of it that Ashton Barraman is venum and full of pure hatred and I wish he’d never made friends with that jerk.”
“Hey hey I’m sure he regrets it.”
“He apologised but it’s too late he said the worst word I could ever think of the guy who promised he’d protect me . My brother called me a leech because that arrogant jerk filled his head with his poison and he believed him.”
“Come on angel we have a lesson left before we head home you can hang with us right guys.”
“Sure she can. I’ll text Issac I’m sure he’ll want to join us, text your mom and let her know you’ll be late.”
“Okay thanks.”
“Our pleasure angel, now let’s get going to our last lesson.” Theo said, taking his arms from around me.
We all walked to our next lessons saying our goodbyes and Theo telling all of us to meet him at the gates.
I text mom saying I’d be back late,and she returned the text by telling me it would be okay. We were all at Theo’s laughing and joking when the doorbell rang. Theo got up to answer it whilst we were all sitting around laughing. “Look who came guys.”
We all looked up and the guys smiled. “Hey guys.”
“Hey man.”
I jumped up going over to Issac hugging him. “I’m so sorry about my brother and his friend.” He hugged me tightly. “It’s cool kitten. I handled them.” He said, dropping his arms from around me. He looked at me with concern in his eyes. “Courtney If I ever get too much, flirt too much you have to tell me if I make you feel uncomfortable.”
“Where’s all of this coming from?”
“Promise me.”
“I promise but you are you Issac and I’m used to you by now so stop being so silly we’re friends.”
He smiled. “And we always will be.”
“Now we’ve got that cleared it’s time to get your winning caps on we’re about to go agonist each other on crash bandicoot whose up?”
We all cheered and picked our teams then flipped a coin to who went against each other.
We played till it was just me and Issac against each other this was going to be easy and it was I who won, his face was not happy, but congratulated me nevertheless. We all had pizza and coke before heading home. We said our goodbyes to Theo and walked home saying our goodbyes one by one leaving me and Isaac the last two to walk home. “I hope you’re not angry with me, kitten.”
“Why would I even be angry at you?”
“Your brother and our fight.”
“He had it coming Issac.”
He looked more surprised than shocked. “I told him to stay out of my business and that I could choose my own friends.”
“Looks like him and his friends couldn’t take the advice.” He mumbled.
“No they couldn’t and I’m sorry. They should’ve kept their noses out, you’re all my friends whether they like you or not. I do so they’ll have to deal with it.”
He smiled. “I’m glad we’re friends, Courtney.”
“Me to.”
He hugged me as we stopped outside my house. “I’ll see you in school next week this suspension sucks.”
“You can always hang out with me and the guys or just us. My brother is always out and about with his friends so we’ll be okay.”
He smiled. “Cool. I’ll come round no doubt we have homework. We can help each other out.”
I smiled. “I’d like that.”
“Later Courtney.”
“Yeah later kitten.” He said tuning walking away.
“And where the hell have you been?”
Crap. I turned to see my jerk of a brother and Bryce, great. “None of your business.” I snapped.
“Yes it is . You’re my sister and it is when it comes to hanging around with him.”
“No it isn’t! you called me a leech Tucker a LEECH. Now I’ve finally got friends you’re becoming a leech too, get over yourself and leave me alone!” I said, storming away into the house.
