I hugged Courtney goodbye. I was glad I had a friend like her that didn’t judge me and my personality Simone and the others hated the way I acted. I couldn’t help it. I was a friendly guy and I’m glad Courtney knew it too. She was a rose in between many thorns. I just wanted to make her feel welcome and wanted something I could tell that she wasn’t getting at home and the proof was there where her brother and his friend emerged. When I walked away I could see them through the corner of my eye as the anger rolled from both of them as they shouted at one another. I didn’t mean to listen to their conversation and keep walking but it was hard not to when I they were shouting, almost screaming at one another.
“And where the hell have you been?”
“None of your business.”
“Yes it is you’re my sister and it is when it comes to hanging around with him.”
“ It isn’t, you called me a leech Tucker a LEECH. now I’ve finally got friends you’re becoming a leech to get over yourself and leave me alone!” I heard the door of her house slam s**t damn no wonder she’s always angry with him and any best this had to do with Ashton Barraman he’s evil enough to pull two siblings apart so he can have another i***t in his band of Merry men, the bad boys of our school. I hated him so much how dare he cast out an Angel like Courtney but she hadn’t done anything. I was going to make sure I was going to get to the bottom of this no one treated any of my friends with disrespect. I continued on my way home making a mental note to talk to her alone.

Holy cow I’d never seen Courtney so angry and so hyped up before I can’t believe, her own brother called her a leech I smelt a rat and the rats name a]was Ashton how could he be so cruel Courtney was a girl version of us even if he didn’t see it I did. I was going to talk to her hopefully she was calm enough not to throw anything at
me.
Tucker stood angrily his fists clenched opening and closing as if debating to do something dumb or not. “Let me talk to her, I’m sure she’s just angry at the fact you got one of her friends suspended.”
“I got suspended too. She’s my sister and she’s more concerned about that pink than me.”
“If you did really call her that you should really be thinking of how she feels right now.”
“I said I was sorry.”
“Then give her time I’m sure she’ll come around.”
He grunted. “I guess.”
I tapped his shoulder. “Let me go and talk to her. I’m sure I’m not in her bad books right now.”
“Sure go ahead if you think it will help.”
I smiled. I'm sure it would. “Thanks bro.”
He nodded and I made my way into the house. The music was booming through the house. “I guess she’s in her room.” I sighed, “let’s do this.”
I took each step slowly not to alert her. I went passed Tucker’s room it was easy to spot it smelt like sweaty socks just like mine did, it made my mom physically sick when she had to enter to get my washing making her open the windows even in winter and it was god damn cold.
“Hey Angel.”
The pillow flew across the room hitting me heading in the face. “Ow, what the hell was that for, angel?”
She looked at me with an angry expression upon her face. “I thought you were Tucker.”
“As you can see I am not.”
“Still, you deserve it.”
“Why? What have I done Angel?”
“I asked you to leave my friends alone and what did you do?”
“I didn’t.”
“Correct, when will you and my i***t brother ever listen to me.”
“We care about you angel.”
“Well don't I can take care of myself. I can make my own friends.”
“I'm sorry. And I can’t believe he called you that!”
“Well believe it because he did.”
“Why would he call you a leech Angel your far from one?”
“Take a look at your dear best friend who is twisting it so he can separate a brother and sister to have my brother all to himself so he can change him to be just like him a jerk.”
I Can’t believe my best friend can be heartless and jealous of a ten year old girl he’s noupathetic we could’ve all been friends. “May I?”
“Sure.”
I smiled walking over jumping on the bed next to her. “He’s sorry you know.”
“So he says. He was the best brother anyone could ask for, until he met Ashton and he poisoned his brain.’ She looked at me. “I’m sorry Bryce. I just can’t forgive him. He betrayed my trust in him.”
I placed my arm around her pulling her close. “Maybe one day you will.”
“Maybe, one day.” She sighed.
I can’t believe Ashton would stoop so low to have Tucker in our group.
Tucker knocked on the door. Courtney had fallen asleep half an hour ago and I hadn’t the heart to wake her. “Hey.”
“Hey.”
“So…has she Chilled?”
“A little.”
“Is she still mad at me?”
“She is.” I looked at him. “Look dude this isn’t easy to say but you’re lucky to even have a sister like her.”
“I know.”
“And what you said to her was bang out of order. You should never have called her that no matter what happens, Ashton is very manipulative and he will do anything to get someone into the group of he feels them worthy.”
“I never meant to. I was angry because mom cracked down on me. I know shenwas right but I also wanted to make friends. I know my sister isn’t a leech. I should never have called her that. I realised my mistake as soon as I said it, but it was too late. What if she never forgives me?”
“Give her time Tucker you know how the same goes time is a great healer she’ll forget this ever happened one day and forgive you.”
“I hope so.”
I smiled.
“I have to go now Tucker, tell Courtney I said goodbye.”
“I will.”
I slid from under her laying her head gently on the pillow tiptoeing out of the room. “Thanks for talking to her, you’re a great friend.”
“No problem she’s an Angel, if only Ash could see that and we could all hang out, but I guess we’d all be waiting till hell freezes over.”
He laughed. “I guess we will.”
He opened the door. “I’ll see you at school.”
“You will.” I stepped out and we said our goodbyes and I headed home. God this had to be the longest day ever.
