Jossiah I haven't seen Courtney all day but I know the music department and dance department are holding some kind of fundraiser before Christmas so any bets Courtney will be there stf sags she likes to sing and people tell her she is good do let's see if my angel is as angelic as she looks. I made my way down to the music room. It is close to the dance studio. I'm surprised they can get any performing done with those shitty songs they make them dance to. I heard the sweetest sound ever as I get closer to the music room. I'm curious to whom this beautiful voice belongs to, so I go straight to the room where it's coming from. I stand shocked as I watch my angel sing, she sure is angelic, her performance is sending shivers down my spine. God damn she sure had a set of pipes on her. I continue watching her in awe. She was right. She was as good as everyone said she was. I smiled knowing she was feeling every word she sang. Her eyes were closed as she hit the highest note my whole body went rigid as the shiver flowed through she sang each and every word with passion and each word has a hidden meaning behind them. She slowly opened her eyes and the music teacher clapped enthusiastically. "That was amazing Courtney." I couldn't agree more. "The dance department will be so pleased with all the effort you put into the song. You put your all into it Courtney everything they wanted in it you related to it so well. Thank you for doing this." Wait, she wrote that song for the fundraiser, damn. "Thank you, miss. I wasn't sure if it was good enough." "Pish posh, it is the best I've ever heard. In all the years I have been head of this department. I've never had a student who has ever taken their time and put all of their feelings into one song." I couldn't agree more. I smiled. "Thanks Miss." She hushed Courtney by flapping her arms. I grinned. She was the best music teacher here. Though I hated music class and I had no interest in it, she was by far the best teacher in this department. "You best be going Miss. Mendez lunch is almost over." "Thanks Miss." "I'll see you tomorrow." "You will, there will be lots more practice sessions. Then we'll be heading to the dance studio to show them the song." "I hope they will like it." "Of course they will, Courtney, never put yourself down." "I won't, thanks Miss." She picked up her rucksack and said goodbye to the music teacher. She made her way to the door and that's the first time she noticed I was standing there. "Jossiah, what are you doing here?" 'Just passing. I heard the singing and I just had to see where it was coming from. You're really good." "Don't mock me." She said, storming off. Hugh? It took me a few seconds to realise what she had said, by that time she'd gone, goddamn it. I ran after her."I wasn't mocking you. Squirt please wait up! I wasn't moving you!" She slowed down and I finally caught up with her. "I'm sorry if you think I was taking the piss squirt. I wasn't. I've never heard a voice like yours before. I could feel every emotion pouring out of you." She looked at me. "Really?" "Yeah really. Your voice is beautiful, like an angel." She smiled and blushed. "Thanks Jo, that means a lot." I grinned. "So you're going to sing at the fundraiser?" "Yeah we'll be working alongside the dance department. They will do a routine to the song and I'll be singing whilst they dance." "Wow." Was all I could say as the grlm went. 'I have to go Jo." "Sure squirt I'll see you around." "You will.” She smiled. God damn that smile. I continued to registration where my friends were and I told them I was listening to angel singing. They both looked at me weird, I just shrugged and told them I'd they wanted to know what I was going on about they'd have to go to the school fundraiser with me. They both groaned but eventually agreed. Issac I'm getting sick and tired of Jossiah Kinsman, yeah he's cool and all of the girls fall over him including all girls in our year. Well excluding Courtney of course they're quote, "just friends" un- quote. He's been following like a lost puppy for months now. It's sickening. He's in year eleven for god's sake he can surely find a girl to entertain him there, unless of course he's had them all. We all know of his reputation here. I don't think Courtney is oblivious but chooses to ignore it. All our friends think I'm jealous of that i***t. I've tried convincing them that I'm not but truth told I am. She's my friend and I don't want to lose her to a guy like him. The Christmas fundraiser is tomorrow and I know for a fact that he will be there. He had told her personally that he and his friends would be attending. Great, just great. J fad hoped it would just be all of us, our little friendship click, one Thomas and his friends had joined once we'd all become friends. He hates Jossiah more than I did. I just tolerated him for Courtney sake. I hope they won't cause trouble because that's all they are good for. He gas been called Courtney’s guardian angel by our friends as he has had words with Ash to stay away from her whilst he's in this school, but that won't be long as he is leaving next summer and I for one can't wait I'll have Courtney away from him. But not from Barraman and his bullying. He's been on good behaviour since his warning. Let's see how long that lasts shall Josiah Its finally the day of her Christmas fundraiser. And I for one I can't wait to listen to my angel sing again. My friends are still in the dark about if all, until this afternoon. We all have had the day off school whilst the music and dance department put everything ready for the fundraiser which was taking place at the thirty this afternoon. "I don't get why you are forcing us to go Joe? We've never been to one of these events before, so why start now?" "I already told you. You'll see when we get there. Now get your assessment into gear, or we're going to be late." They all groaned knowing that they weren't going to get anything out of me. We walked to the school where the whole school had been decorated with banners stating it was the Christmas fundraiser. We made our way into the grand Hall, it was four times the size of the assembly hall and was decorated. We walked into the grand hall taking our seats. I looked around and couldn't see Isaac or his friends. "So, where is she?" 'Who?" "Don't play dumb Issiah, Courtney. We know you came her because of her. You would never have come otherwise." "I have no idea what you guys are talking about." "Of course you don't. You.." "Good afternoon everyone and welcome to this year's Christmas fundraiser. I'm glad to see there are both old and new faces in the audience. This year we have stepped things up a bit. Our new students will be singing and dancing. This will be coming together. Unlike any other year the dance group have worked alongside the music group and shared what they would like incorporating into the songs so they could dance to it. Do without further adieu I am pleased to present Miss. Courtney Mendez on vocals and the dance team." The music teacher said. I smirked. "You knew about this didn't you?" "Shh and watch." I said smiling. Courtney opened her show and the dancers came on the stage doing their routine. I sat smiling as my friends watched with their mouths agape. We continued watching the show to the end. There were six songs and dance collaborations in total everyone stood up and clapped at the end of the shoe. Even my friends and I were impressed and it takes a lot for us to be impressed.
