Courtney
My friends and I had all met up apart from the exception of Isaac who has knocked the door twenty minutes before ten am to walk to school with me. 'Good morning kitten, shall we?" He grinned like a Cheshire Cat.
I smiled. "We shall." I said, closing the door linking my arm with his.
We continued to school laughing and joking meeting up with our friends heading inside where we all got told which classes we would be in we had all been split up apart from Simone, Issac and me.
We'd all had a brief introduction from our tutor on punctuality and tardiness is unacceptable.
We had our maps and timetables. We were in a few lessons together. I hope our other friends are in classes with us.
Getting greeted by our teachers with the same message. "Doing your homework is crucial were no longer at primary school and it is a necessity. If we fail to do our homework and give crappy excuses why we are not doing it we will get detention to complete it. If it is continuous for a month we will get put on report. There will be no copying homework and bullying is definitely not tolerated; it will result in suspension or being taken out of the school permanently.
God, there were so many rules my head was splitting abx we had only had two lessons which I shared with Isaac and Simone.
"I've got a headache."
“Me too."
Thank god it was break and we finally met up with our friends who looked as bad as we felt. They'd got the lectures too, so at least we weren’t the only ones.
We all said our goodbyes heading to our separate classes. One of which I didn't share with my friends.
I was looking at the map. God, where is this class? I'm going to be late. I grumbled to myself. Bouncing off a hard chest. Oh oh.
"Well hello there, squirt." He's masculine voice purred.
Oh great here we go. I looked up. God damn it. His curtained hair hung over his face his eyes were a pure blue colour almost like ice. He smirked. "Sorry I.. I…"
His smirk grew wider. Crap now I'm in for it first day and I've bumped into a hot guy who obviously was in year eleven as none of the other students were in until Wednesday. "It's okay, squirt. First day?"
"I'm not a squirt thank you very much. And yes, it is."
His grin never faulted, great another i***t who thinks he's god's gift to girls. "So what class are you heading to. "Geography."
"Well follow me, Squirt. I'm not far from there."
'Sure why not."
He grinned and I followed him down the corridor. "So what's your name squirt?"
"Courtney, and I'm not a squirt. "
"Jossiah, and you are to me." He winked.
I rolled my eyes.
"So can I have to look at your timetable table to see if your classes are close to mine and I can show you to them?"
"Whatever."
I pulled my timetable out and passed it to him. He took it off me and began to read it. His smirk reappeared on his face. "So do you like music, squirt?"
"I do "
"Can you sing?"
"I've been told I can."
"Mmmh. Interesting. I guess I'll have to see for myself."
"I guess you will."
I took my timetable back off him. "Some of your lessons are close to mine. I'll walk you."
"Haven't you got anything better to do than walk a year seven to lessons?"
"I have but just want to."
"Sure whatever floats your boat."
He grinned. "Maybe I can give you a tour."
"Maybe but you'll have to show my friend around too."
"If they are anything like you then it will be a pleasure. We'll here we are. "
"Thanks Jossiah."
"No need to thank me squirt, just look at me as your guardian angel."
I smiled and nodded.
"Later squirt."
"Yeah later."
I walked away, going to my lesson.
I met my friends at lunch, sitting down and eating. Jossiah walked in with four other guys; they all sat down. He looked over at ya and winked at me. I smiled.
"Do you know who that is, Court?" Ava asked.
"His name is Jossiah. I bumped into him early trying to find the room I needed to get to for my lesson."
"Are you serious, Court? No one bumps into Jossiah Kinsman; he's the bad boy of year eleven; everyone fears him. You're lucky you're still alive."
"Who told you that?"
"Everyone knows which he is Court, he's the most feared kid here."
"Well he seemed cool to me."
"Just be careful around him."
"I will."
Jossiah
I was minding my own business making my way to the lesson and the teacher would more likely give me detention again. He hated me. I wish they'd just give me another goddamn tech teacher. He's has it in for ne since I began year ten. Now in year eleven it would be no different. Then something soft crashed into my chest. God, don't these newbies know to watch where they are going?
I guess I can have a little fun with this one. Most kids stay away from me knowing of my reputation in this school. I guess this one didn't.
I grinned, this was going to be so much fun.
I looked down, her red head of curls was all I could see until she looked up I looked into her sapphire eyes god she was so beautiful. My breath hitched and I swallowed hard thinking of the first thing that came into my head. "Well hello there squirt."
Did looked at me like a deer caught in headlights and apologised. God she was so cute.
I accepted her apology and offered to walk her to her lesson, something I had never done before. But what the hell, it was on my way. I learned her name was Courtney and she liked not only listening to music but singing, a girl after my own heart.
We said our goodbyes and I went into my lesson and as per the first day and I got detention what's wrong with this prick? I wasn't even five minutes late. Maybe it was the fact I drifted off thinking about my little squirt Courtney, even her name sounded hot and almost sexy. I'd she was in my year I would've claimed her by nie. My friends know me better than anyone and they know when I'm interested in a girl I go for it. But not this time, she's too young and I have needs only a girl my age can give me.
My friends noticed I was spacing out and kept nudging me so I didn't get into more s**t.
We left after the bell to go to lunch. "Our with it Jo."
"Out with what?"
"Who's the cheek?"
"There isn't one."
“Cut the crap Jo. The only time you since off is when you've gif a fight or a chick in your mind "
True.
"Well it's not number one cause you haven't been called into the Headteacher's office so its number two so who is the lucky girl?"
"I wouldn't call her lucky."
"Shut up Briggs."
"Her name is Courtney. She's new "
"You mean new as in year seven new?"
I nodded.
"Damn Jo we know you've gad most the girls in our year but damn a V Jo you're losing your touch "
"She's different, I like her and anyone who disrespect her will have me to deal with."
"Sure Jo whatever you say."
We all got our lunch sitting down. I looked over and there she was sitting with her friends, she looked up and I winked. She smiled. I watched as her friends spoke to her no doubt about me and who I was.
"Is that her Jo?"
I nodded.
"She's cute. Hey Robbie ain't your bro just started?"
"Yeah today. Mom insisted he walked with me when he clearly had no intentions to. He has his own friends to walk here with, so once we were out of sight of the house and mom we said goodbyes."
"Do you think he knows her?"
"Not sure maybe there's a lot of new kids."
"She's someone you can hardly miss. I mean look at her. If she
was in our year every guy would be after her."
I nodded knowing how true that was. I wondered if she had siblings, or if she knew anyone here.
"Come on let's go for a fag."
We all got up and left the dinner hall going to our spot to have a smoke.
