Tucker
Once Courtney left the room and Bryce followed, Ashton turned to me suddenly. “What gives Bro?”
“Nought.”
“B.u.l.l. S.h.i.t.” He coughed. He looked at me with a serious expression on his face. “Seriously dude?”
I looked at him questionly .
“Isaac Walker? What the hell bro? I thought you were keeping that dude away from her?”
“I was.”
“So what happened?”
“I’d rather not be in my mom’s bad books.”
“Geez Tuck. She sure has you wrapped around her little finger.”
“No she doesn’t Ash, and for your information I’m not too happy about this either. I just want my little sis to be happy and right now she’s happy with having her friend back.”
“And what if he pulls that s**t on her again?”
“Then I’ll put him in an early grave.”
He nodded accepting my reasoning and I’ll do exactly that if he ever hurts or upsets my little sister ever again the next warning will be his last and that’s not a threat that’s a promise.
“Hey where’s the drinks Tuck? I'm famished.”
“Me too.”
I looked over my shoulder, what was talking Courtney and Bryce, so long? They finally entered the lounge with the drinks handing the drinks around.
“What took you so long?”
“Just chatting.”
“Mmh Mmh.”
“We were.” Bryce defended.
“Sure you were.”
I looked at him judgingly. He glared at me to tell me to quit it nothing was going on. I shrugged my shoulders. Bryce and Courtney sat down. “So are we up for another round?”
“Sure.”
“Court?”
“Sure I’m in.”
We all played against one another for the next few hours before the guys sud their goodbyes.
“I’m going to my room.”
“Wait Court!”
She turned, looking at me curiously. “Everything okay Tucker?”
“Sort of. What were you and Bryce talking about?”
“Not much, school why?”
“Just yours were taking an awfully long time to do drinks.”
“Were we?”
“Yeah.”
“We were just talking, Tucker, nothing else.”
“Promise me if he ever tried it on with you to tell me straight away?”
“Sure I’ll tell you, but I doubt that will ever happen we’re just friends, besides I’m not his type.” She laughed.
God she was so naive. She had no clue that I had seen how he looked at her every time he was here alone without the others here. She’s growing up too quickly and I don’t like it. I’ll have to protect her from guys like Bryce, they may be friends but only time will tell what he clearly wants from her and the day that happened will be the day I kick the living s**t out of him for even daring to look at my sister.
Ashton
I looked at Bryce. “What the hell was all that s**t at Tucker’s bro?”
“What are you talking about Ash? As usual your rambling crap out of that mouth of yours.”
“You know exactly what I’m talking about.”
“No I don’t.”
“I saw how you looked at Courtney and so did the others.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He contorted.
“Yes you do. The look on your face said it all, you were angry at her for being friends with Walker. What the hell is going on Bryce? You’re not her brother, you have no right to be angry with her decision.”
“We’re friends Ash, I'm looking out for her after what he did to her.”
“You have a thing for her don't you?”
“Don't talk rubbish Ash.”
“You do, it all makes so much more sense for you being so overprotective.”
“I like her, but not like that. She’s my friend Ash, she’s like a sister to me. I just want to protect her.”
“If you truly cared about her, you’d step back and let Tucker deal with it.”
“Whatever Ash good night.” He said walking away.
I’d get the truth out of him even if it took until the end of the year, or five years time I’d get him to confess that he has a thing for Tucker’s younger sister then stand back whilst I watch the s**t hit the pan.
Bryce
I slammed the door behind me. I'm so vexed right now. I sormed up to my room slamming the door. Behind me I put some heavy rock on before I pounded my fists into my punch bag. Asher can be such a d**k sometimes. It’s none of his goddamn business who I like and who I don’t. I knew one thing for sure I’d never have Courtney, Tucker would make sure of that. And I wouldn’t blame him either. I’m not boyfriend material like Issac goddamn Walker. I continued pounding into my punch bag, letting my frustrations and anger out. How could Courtney ever think that I’d never be interested in her? She’s more beautiful than any girl at that highschool, but I knew we would never be right for each other she needed someone who could love her and take care of her and I just wasn’t that guy right now and I'm not that guy and I doubt I ever would be.
