Ace. I was fuming. How dare that little prick embarrass Courtney like that? I was seething. Mouse squeezed my shoulder to say 'hey dude relax.' I clamped my fiat's shut and gritted my teeth before getting the formalities over and done with. Guys these are my friends from university: Rush, Mouse he doesn't talk much, Cruise and Marshal as you can tell they are identical twins, Rush, Mouse, Cruise and Marshal these are my long term friends Lawrence, Brendon and Cain." "And the teenage kids, who are they?" "The loudmouth is my youngest brother Ashton, the one best to him is his best friend Bryce, next to him is Courtney's older brother Tucker, the other two are Jesse and Dawson.' "Good to meet you." They nodded and they all fist bumped. "Now we've got the formalities out of the way and how Ace and Courtney both suck at snooker let the games begin!" Rush said, wringing his eyebrows Tucker I didn't like these guys not one bit. They were all arrogant jerks that needed to be put down a peg or two. I also noticed when Issac wasn't around my sister that the mouse guy seemed to be creeping around her like a fly who'd got caught in a trap. I bailed my fists. If Issac didn't say or do anything I sure as hell would. "Wowh chill Tuck they are only talking." I looked at Bryce giving him the death glare and put his hands up in defence. "I know you're just looking out for her Tucker, but she's here with Isaac, let him take care of her and stand back. I nodded, not quite convinced Isaac was the best option to take care of my sister. Ace I watched as Mouse made his move again didn't he know when to quit? "Clench your fists any tighter they'll be bleeding, talk about the big jealous monster." Brandon chuckled I stared angrily at him. "I'm not jello " "Yeah right we both know that’s utterly bull s**t Ace. We've been friends since we were in dippers. I think I know you better than anyone." "Yeah well I warned him to stay away from her he claimed he was 'just being friendly.' Friendly my ass." I gritted out. "Yeah I know I'd know those moves anywhere big I don't think Courtney is paying too much attention to them" "Hey, have you seen Mouse?" I look so Rush he's piseed not jnku that he's stoned dammit. I pointed. "With Courtney." He looked over and smirked. "Well damn that son of a b***h. He never talks to anyone, especially girls she is truly something " Yeah she is. We watch them as they talk and she's laughing. No one laughs at Mouse, he never has anything funny to say. I spot Tucker and Bryce in the corner. Tucker looks as I'd he's going to punch someone's head in and I can only guess who but Bryce I hold him back, trying to talk sense into him. Lawrence is looking their way angrily. Oh boy, we're going to get a blood bath. I look back at Courtney and Mouse who are still in deep conversation. I've never seen him speak to anyone, especially a girl for more than two minutes and I must say I'm impressed and angry at the same time. Isaac comes behind her and slides his arms protectively around her and kisses her cheek and Mouse storms off. Well I guess the show is over ladies and gents. "Who would've guessed those two would get it together?" "I kinda saw it coming. We almost knew he had a crush on her and would never admit it though it was pretty shocking to hear about it when I just got home." I nodded. "I found out yesterday goddamn PDA." Courtney New year's day was going great apart from the fact Ash was here running his mouth yet again to embarass me, but I'm used to his crap by now and chose to ignore it. Mouse was kinda creeping me out. He was constantly staring at me and seemed to think if Issac wasn't around he could just get in my personal space. Don't get me wrong he was a funny guy but he was kinda creeping me out. I was relieved when Isaac came back and he disappeared. That was until the twenty questions of why he was there, why was I talking to him, was he bothering me? God, Isaac just shut the hell up! This over possessiveness is pissing me off and really getting to me. We really need to talk about this. Instead I smiled sweetly and answered with a simple no. The rest of the day went seemingly well playing party games and dancing to the stereo until an angry voice boomed through the house. "What the hell is going on here?!" We almost stopped dead s**t my parents were here. Tucker looked horrified and shrunk into the corner. Ace's friends were all drinking. Oh god this didn't look good. "Well!" "I can explain." "You better. I thought you said it was just out kids Maureen not grown ass men?" Shit. Ace and Simone looked at one another. Their parents stepped forward angrily. Oh crap. "I did." She looked directly at Ace. "You said I could trust you Ace." "And you can mom." "So why are your friends here? You said they were dropping by not staying." "Change of plans." "I'm disappointed in you Ace. " "When aren't you?" He grumbled. "We put our trust in you to look after your sister sbs her friends and your allowing your friends to stay here anything could've happened. " "Well I didn't." "What if it had?" "It wouldn't mom I am more than capable of taking care of a couple of teenagers. My friends won't do anything against them." "Courtney, Tucker come, we're going home." We boys looked at our parents. "Now!" We nosed and said goodbye to our friends. We were going to be in so much s**t when we get home. We followed mom and day out. "We're so sorry Mr. And Mrs. Mendez we apologise for our sins behaviour we thought once he'd finished university he'd be more responsible. " "It's fine, we'll see you soon." They nodded and however headed to the car in silence, closing the doors and dad pulled away hearing the words I'd never thought I'd hear again. "You're both grounded."
