Tucker - after school Courtney had been ignoring me all day. I’ve tried to apologize to her over and E again for what I said last night. After it left my mouth I truly regretted it. It wasn’t like me to say such horrible and hurtful things towards her. Maybe I shouldn’t be friends with Ashton, but how could I not be? He was one of our neighbours and he was in my class, along with Bryce and Jesse. Mom had made it clear as day that if I wanted to go around Ashton’s again I would have to take Courtney with me. I knew two people that wouldn’t be happy about that. Courtney already hated him. I saw the way she was looking at him when he told me “strictly no girls.” She wouldn’t even entertain being in the same room as him let alone the same house. Ashton would flip a mental, and I was right he was angry, really angry. He even swore under his breath. He cursed a lot of words I care not to repeat and I knew he'd look for Courtney to have it out with her. I tried to reason with him but he chose not to listen. “I’m going to Ashton’s tonight mom.” “You can take your sister.” “But moooom.” I whined. “No buts you're taking her.” She looked around to see Courtney on the sofa. “Courtney honey you’re going with your brother to his friends.” “But mooom.” She whined. “Not you too, you’re going after what happened Friday.” “I don’t want to go. I don’t like him, he's a jerk.” “Courtney, what have I told you about cursing?” “I’m sorry mom, but he is.” “You’re going.” “No I’m not I don’t even like him.” She said, getting off the sofa storming out of the room looking at me. “I hate you !” Hell that stung. Now I know how she felt when I did it to her. “Courtney Mendez, get here right now and apologize to your brother.” “No.”She soda before slamming the door. I cringed. “She’ll calm down Tucker then she’ll apologise.” I nodded knowing she wouldn’t. Mom forced her to go to Ashton’s and let's just say he was less pleased than she was to be there. I knocked on the door. ‘It’s open Tucker my man.’ I swallowed. Well here goes nothing. “Behave.” She scowled at me. I see she still hates me and has no interest in talking to me. I opened the door waiting for hell to let loose. We both stepped into the house and I closed the door. “Hey guys.” “Tuc..” Ashton began.looking in between me and Courtney then finally said. “What the hell, Tucker. I said 'no girls.” “Sorry man, but mom insisted.” “You should’ve told her you didn’t want her here.” “Like I wanted to be here.” She gritted out. “Come on man, one girl won’t kill us.” Bryce piped up “Shut the hell up Bryce if I wanted your opinion I’d ask for it.” He flapped my arms in surrender. “One night won’t he anyone Ash.” Jesse blurted out. “Who’s side are you on Jesse?” ‘Yours, but.’ “But nothing.” “Let her stay.” “No.” ‘“Come on just tonight if she doesn’t like it here or you don’t want her to come back doesn’t have to come again.” “Fine.” He sighed. Adding. “But if she winds me up she’s gone.” “Deal.” ‘Come on sit down Courtney you're making the palace look untidy.’ They all laughed though two of them clearly didn’t find it funny as neither of them wanted to be in each other's company. Courtney didn’t want to be there and Ashton don’t want her there; this was going to be a fun night, not.
