Bryce Damn I wasn't thinking, that scent was so intoxicating. I forgot Tucker was in the room. Damn and damn again. He was going to punch my lights out for sure. The air felt stiff. "I'm going to my room." Courtney quickly said, shooting up from her seat. "Sure sis. I'll see you in the morning." She nodded and smiled. "Sweet dreams angel." "You to Bryce." She said, awkwardly. She darted out of the room, damn I was going to get and earful. "What the hell was all of that Bryce?" "Nothing." "Bull s**t Bryce. What the hell’s got into you?" "Nought." "She's my goddamn sister Bryce. I saw you smell her, that's weird dude, even for you." "I liked the perfume that's all." "Stop doing weird things around my sister dude, or I'll make sure you never look at her again!" Shit he was angry. My arms flew up in defence. "I'm sorry dude, it won't ever happen again." "Good, you best not. You're my friend Bryce. She doesn't need your casanova shit." "She won't, we're just friends." "Good. Make sure it stays that way." "It will." I sighed. I knew that all we could ever be. She thought I'd never have any of those feelings for her, but I do. I like her alot but she deserves more than I can ever give her. Tucker I can’t believe what my eyes just witnessed, was my best friend coming on to my little sister? Hell no. Once Courtney decided to go to her room it was time to get to the bottom of this, whatever it is. Courtney didn't look comfortable at all. I'll kill Bryce if he even touches her or says one god damn inappropriate word towards her. I'll snap his neck. He looked nervous as we were talking. It seemed as he was hiding something or fighting with his feelings, but he promised they were just friends and nothing else I had no choice but to believe him. What else can I do? "I'm heading home now. " "Sure." I showed Bryce out and we bro hugged and said our see ya tomorrow's before I closed the door and headed upstairs. I knocked on Courtney's door. "Can I come in?" "Sure." I opened her bedroom door stepping in closing the door. "Has Bryce gone?" She asked. "Yeah, just." She hummed. I sat on her bed. "So.." She turned to look at me. "Out with it Tucker. I know you and you have something to say." Damn she was good. "What's going on with you and Bryce," I blurted out. "Nothing." "So what was all of that in the lounge earlier?” "To be honest Tucker, I don't know. " I nodded. "We're just friends Tucker, he has no interest in a girl like me." That's debatable. "There’s nothing wrong with you sis, you're beautiful and clever don't put yourself down." She smiled. "I mean he likes high profile girls. I've seen the girls who you hang around with Tucker and I certainly don't end up in the 1,2 or 3 of them. Trust me I'm too plain for guys like you." 'Hey what do you mean guys like me?" "Just take a look in the mirror Tucker, and you'll know what I'm on about." I smirked. "Well I'll see you in the morning sis." "Sure, night bro." I pulled himself up. Kissing her forehead. "Night sis." I said before leaving Courtney's room. I closed the door heading to my bedroom feeling a lot happier than I did before. Courtney told me what I wanted to hear, she wasn't interested in Bryce other than just being his friend. She knew us all to well, we had girls hanging around us, but right now we're too young to go after any of them, maybe one day when we were old enough to appreciate them. I chuckled, if that was ever going to happen.
