Chapter : Ten

Hugo's POV



After our date and Iris marking me, we decided to back home. Our home. I still couldn't believe that she was finally living with me. I finally got to keep her by my side all the time and I couldn't ask for anything better.

It had been about three weeks since our date, and we decided to do everything slowly. She had met all my family, and thankfully they all loved her and were completely supportive. I could tell that my parents were worried given that I'm human, and I know part of them had hoped that finding my mate would turn me into a werewolf like them, but it hadn't. I was still human, but part of me hoped as well that I would finally turn.

"Iris, it's time for the ceremony", I called to Iris from the bedroom. She was in the bathroom with Madison getting ready for the Luna ceremony, and tonight we would officially make her the packs Luna. She hadn't met everyone yet, so I was very nervous about how tonight would go, but I had made sure everything was perfect for her. She deserved everything to be as special as it could get.

"She will be down when she is ready. Don't rush a girl, it's her night tonight" My sister had shouted out at me, woman scare me. I took that as my cue to leave and wait downstairs for them and greeted everyone. Most of my pack members had started to have a strong dislike for me due to being human, but I could change their minds by being the best Alpha that I could be, and I knew I wanted to be the strongest and with Iris by my side I knew that would change their minds.

"Soooo, alpha where is the girl?" One of the pack members, Alex, had questioned me. I could tell he had quite a few drinks already, but as werewolves, they couldn't get drunk, they could only get tipsy.

"She will be down soon" I simply stated to him. I wasn't in the mood for tipsy werewolves tonight. I just wanted my mate, and to show her off to everyone.

"Ahh" He just commented back before making his way somewhere in the huge crowd of people. I decided to have little chit chats with everyone before I stopped what I was doing as the scent of my beautiful mate had gotten stronger. I looked around everywhere for her before I finally gazed at the beautiful woman that was standing in the crowd of people looking innocently and shy.

"If you excuse me" I said to some pack members, not wanting to be rude to them as I made my way to my mate. As soon as she spotted me walking towards her, her whole face and demeanor had changed. She had this glow all around her, a literal glow around her. I was confused as to what it was, but I let it go for the time being.

"Iris" I breathed out as I moved a tiny piece of hair out of her face. She was the most beautiful person I definitely had laid eyes on and everyone would be stupid to not think the same. Well, those who are not mated or are human. I couldn't help myself and I instantly connected our lips together and, oh, the electricity that ran throughout my body had almost made me fall to my knees.

"Are you ready my, Luna?" I asked, resting my head on hers and keeping her eyes locked with mine, she had replied with a smile and nod. I couldn't wait for everyone to meet her. I held onto her hand and brought her to the stage my parents had people set up for tonight.

I had her wait at the side for me to call her on to the stage, giving her a small kiss before leaving her with Madison.

"Excuse me everyone!" I shouted, gaining everyone's attention as the music had lowered now.

"Now that I have everyone's attention, I have gotten some big news for you all." I paused, looking around at everyone before beginning again.

"I would like to tell you all that I have finally found my mate, and to introduce you tonight as your Luna," I told everyone. There were waves of cheers and applauds from multiple people. I made sure to keep my attention on everyone and watched them. I looked over at Iris and waved her over. Everyone went silent again, some with smiles, some who looked like they couldn't care and some who looked almost annoyed.

"Everyone, this is my mate, and your Luna, Iris!" I said loudly and very proudly. I wanted everyone to know who she was. She was their Luna and I would make sure they would listen to her as well as me.

I pulled her closer to me as I watched some of the un-mated wolves get a little too excited to see her. I know if I were a werewolf I would have ripped their heads off.

"You can all take your time to meet her and introduce yourself to her, but she is your Luna and you will show her respect at all times. You don't just follow my orders now, you follow Iris' now as well." I told them before leaving the stage with her hand intertwined with mine.

As we left the stage, the music had got louder and everyone had cheered for us. I was happy they have a Luna now. I knew I would be a lot weaker without her, but I know in ways I would still be weak but I will do everything to protect her against anyone. Not only do I have a pack to think about, I also have my mate now, and I wouldn't change it for anything.

We started to mingle with the other members and got her introduced to a lot of the members now and their mates, and it was safe to say that everyone loved her as I knew they would.

The night was long, and as much as I loved her meeting loads of the pack members I did want tonight to hurry up so I could finally take her back to our room.

I had decided tonight we would stay in the pack house but come tomorrow we would begin to get our own place sorted. The thought of having our own house excited me. I would get to spend a life time with her. She was everything I wanted and more and I would kill to the end of the world to give her what she wanted.
