Hugo's POV
Today was going to be eventful. It was the first official day at being this packs Alpha and I was ready for it. After getting in a hot steamy shower, I had finally decided to go downstairs and see everyone.
"Morning everyone" I said as I walked into the kitchen to see my family sat around the island table, laughing and smiling at whatever they were talking about.
"Morning Alpha" My siblings said in unison, it felt so strange to hear them call me Alpha and I knew that it would most likely take some time getting used to it.
"Good morning Hugo, how did you sleep?" My mom asked, with a big smile on her face.
"Like a baby." I replied pulling out pancake mix from the cupboard. While I waited I took a seat next to Maddison, just as I was about to say something my father spoke up looking at the three of us.
"You may now be Alpha and the two of are second and third in command but all three of you still have to go to school. So get your butts off the chairs, get ready and I will drop you all off." My father said, I may be the new Alpha but everyone knows you don't back chat your father.
One after another, we all left to our rooms to get ready after finishing eating. I wondered if everyone could sense that I was the Alpha, would they be able to smell the power that ran through my veins?
After searching my closet for ten minutes, I finally agreed on a white v neck t-shirt, ripped jeans and my vans shoes. Looking in the mirror, I was happy with how well my outfit looked. I quickly checked myself over one last time before grabbing my black leather jacket and backpack and made my way back downstairs to see everyone already waiting for me.
"Alright, is everyone ready?" My father questioned, all three of us nodded our heads in unison "alright then, lets go" He finished off leaving out the door to the car with us following behind him.
Driving for fifteen minutes, we had finally arrived at Westview High School. Students gathered in groups around the car park, some walking into the school and others were on their own.
Even while being the Alpha, I still felt awkward we were going to an all werewolf school and I would be the only human here. I knew that everyone would be able to feel the power radiating off of me but I still wouldn't be able to defend myself if anyone tried to start a fight.
Just as Elijah and Maddison got out of the car my father quickly stopped me before I could get out.
"Son, I know you are the Alpha now but just be careful still. If anyone tries to show any disrespect, stand up to them. Don't let them disrespect you, if you need anyone's help then call or text one of us and we will come and help." He paused, taking a deep breathe.
"It is only because you are human and we don't know if you will ever turn especially now since you are the Alpha." He finished off with a sad smile. I knew that he was trying to look out for me which will always be understandable but I couldn't show him that I was thinking the same thing.
"I know dad, I've got this" I told him with a fake smile before getting out of the car to walk with Elijah and Maddison.
As we began walking towards the front of the school, people began to hush, staring at us as we walked closer and closer. Some had even bowed their heads in our direction which I could only imagine it was because I was the Alpha.
I just had to keep in mind that I had to keep my head up high. What felt like forever, we had finally reached the steps to the school. We walked in and found our way to the front desk to pick up our locker numbers and timetable.
We all checked our time tables to see what lessons we had together and unfortunately I only had fifth and sixth lessons with Maddison today.
"Right guys, I will see you both at lunch" Elijah said to the both of us. It was understandable that he would leave straight away, he always wanted to have his own social life.
"Don't forget if you need either one of us to just call or text us, alright?" Maddison said before quickly hugging me and left. Her long, blond hair flipping behind her as she turned her back to me and left to her first lesson.
I quickly checked the timetable to see what my first lesson was and thankfully it was art, a lesson I knew I wouldn't mind. After spending ten minutes trying to find it, I eventually gave up and found the first person I seen.
"Hey, sorry I'm new and I was hoping you would be able to help me find my class?" I asked the first person I came across. I couldn't help but notice just how beautiful she was. I felt like I was looking at an actual angel. She wasn't your usual girly girl, she was different. I could sense that she didn't care about peoples opinions from her posture, and how she dressed.
Her long black hair flowing past her shoulders, she wore a black top with stripes on the sleeves tucked into her ripped black jeans showing off her curvy figure. Why was I so mesmerised by this stranger that I had only known for ten seconds?
When she looked up at me with her big grey eyes, I instantly felt some sort of connection with her. What on earth was this feeling? Could she possibly be my mate?
"Go straight down the corridor and turn left then right" She simply said, closing her locker and quickly leaving to go wherever her class was. That was super awkward and a bit rude was all I thought before leaving to go where my classroom was.
Following the directions she gave me, I found my class straight away and managed to get there before the bell rang and thankfully not many people were in here. Just as I took a seat at the back of the classroom, the teacher had walked and took a seat at his desk. He looked quite young to be a teacher, just as he was writing something on the board more people had starting to pile in taking their seats. By the time everyone took their seats, there was only one left which was right next to me and I was shocked to see the girl from earlier walk in.
She looked around the room to see where she could sit and once she noticed it was next to me, I could see her roll her grey eyes. Did I do something to annoy her? Just as she took her seat, I was cut off from anything to her by the teacher.
"Alright class, today we will be doing Day of the Dead. Come up and get your book." The teacher said. Everyone began to get up to get their book.
"Sir, I don't have a book" I told him as everyone piled at the desk to get their books.
"Ah, Hugo isn't it?" He questioned, getting up and walking towards the cupboards.
"Yes, sir" I replied as he made his way back to me.
"Here you go" He said handing the book over towards me with a sticker on it, "You can put your name on the sticker Hugo. If you want to decorate it you can." He said, taking a seat again. I took the book and made my way back to my seat. The girl from before just sat there doing random doodles in her art book. Even simple doodles, it still looked pretty cool.
"They're pretty cool doodles" I told her, trying to make conversation with her.
"Thanks" Was her reply, I couldn't help but feel like I had done something to her. I decided to just leave it at that and got on with my work instead.
