Jane ushered Sophie into a building that didn't look like a university. This place is more like a hotel, and the atmosphere inside is really not like a place to study. So luxurious and so foreign, of course, to Sophie.
Sophie saw people strangely looking at her as she walked. Some of them openly approached her and touched her to make Sophie uncomfortable.
"Sorry, guys. We have to get through!" said Jane, warning these people. Sophie looked down. She felt like a lousy chicken right now.
Jane put her arm around Sophie and led her into a room with a massive wooden door. There is a wolf statue in front of the room. Right beside. Very weird. Is the wolf really an icon in this city?
Sophie entered the room with Jane. The girl saw an older man who was not too tall. She sat busy doing his work on the table.
"Rein!" Jane said hello. "I've already picked her up. Introducing Sophie Walworth," said Jane.
Rein Stockholm, the man's name. He immediately stopped his work when he heard Sophie Walworth's name called, then stood up and approached Sophie.
"Oh, Walworth," Rein said with his unusual gaze on Sophie. He even touched Sophie's face making her feel uncomfortable.
"The Hybrid, half-blood," Rein said with great enthusiasm.
Jane glared at Rein after his words. It was like warning Rein not to talk much. "Rein, I want you to take care of Sophie's administration. Not to talk about weird things," said Jane.
Rein glanced at Jane in annoyance, then looked back at Sophie, who was a little scared of this older man.
"Okay, I'll list your names," said Rein. He quickly walked behind the desk. There was a huge cupboard with many lockers. He opened one of them and took something from the locker.
Rein finished with the lockers. He turned and sat in his chair. He looked at Sophie seriously, then held out his hand.
"This is for you," said Rein.
Sophie hesitated, but Jane nodded for Sophie to accept what Rein gave her. Sophie stepped forward and held out her hand. She opened her palm, and Rein handed Sophie a key.
"This is your room key. Don't worry. This is where you sleep in your own room. We value privacy. But I hope you get to hang out with your friends in the dorms too, even if you don't share rooms," Jane said to Sophie.
"Thank you," Sophie replied.
"Okay, you can go to the dorm," Rein said.
Sophie frowned. Shouldn't Rein record data on Sophie?
"Don't worry. I already have data about you. I can record anything about you, even though I didn't ask you," said Rein as if he understood what was on Sophie's mind.
Jane took Sophie's hand. The girl is still in denial about this situation. But he had to follow whatever happened. She's a stranger in this place. So Sophie had to be a good boy, as Smith and Nora always said.
As soon as she left Rein's room, Sophie was surprised by a very handsome man standing at the door. He looked at Sophie very strangely. He didn't even blink a bit. Sophie could see the corneas were yellow. It was so clear but contained a gaze that pierced Sophie's feelings. Though Sophie did not know this handsome man.
"Sam!" Jane warned him not to act like that to Sophie.
"This is impossible!" said the man named Sam. His expression was angry, as if he didn't like Sophie's arrival.
Sophie, who didn't know anything, just looked down. Sam's gaze was horrifying, but there was something odd about it. Sophie felt something strange coursing through her body after Sam looked at her.
"Jane, why did you bring her here?" asked Sam.
"That's none of your business, Sam," Jane replied. "Wolfburg has the right to bring anyone here."
"She's Hyb..."
"Sam, please." Jane prevented Sam from speaking any further. "I have to take Sophie to the dorm.
Sophie didn't understand why Sam was mad at her. They don't even know each other. Even though Sam is dashing and handsome, his arrogance makes Sophie feel bad.
Sam was still staring at Sophie, but she didn't do anything. He immediately turned and walked away from Sophie.
"What?" Sophie grumbled. "Who is he? Why is he like that to me?"
Jane smiled at Sophie and put her arm around her. "It's okay. He's Samuel Anthony. You can call him Sam. Everyone really likes Sam. He's the favorite here," Jane replied.
"You guys like arrogant people like him?" Sophie couldn't understand why an arrogant man like Sam became an idol in this place.
"It's too complicated. I can't go into details. But I warn you not to fight Sam," said Jane. He then escorted Sophie to the dormitory to her room.
Wolfburg Dormitory…
The place where students at Wolfburg University live. This place is so big. It is located behind the Wolfburg University campus building. Where Sophie did the registration at Rein's office. The building looks like a five-star hotel and looks very modern. Truly a paradox because this place is close to the wilderness.
People in this place are busy with their respective activities. The young people looked so energetic. Some seem to be studying. Some are busy playing basketball. Some couples are having fun making out. What an exciting teenage life. Just like universities in general.
Sophie came in with Jane, and suddenly everyone stopped what they were doing. They looked at Jane, who was standing with a strange girl.
"Jane, who is she?" A woman with a tall body, brown hair, and long. Her face is so cute.
"She's a new student here," Jane replied casually as she continued to walk in.
Everyone seemed to be looking at Sophie the same way when Sophie entered the university building. Sophie glanced at her clothes and tried to find out if there was anything odd about her. She was afraid that they would actually be disturbed by her appearance.
Sophie noticed that there were so many statues or decorations that depicted wolves, which was very strange. Do they really live with wolves?
"Hey, are you going to change to study here too?" A thin man approached Sophie, who was following Jane. And the man asked about a strange thing.
"Who are you?" Sophie asked.
"He's my boyfriend, Roy Frederick," answered the girl who had asked Jane. "I'm Melisa Hathaway. Our rooms will be next door.
Sophie felt strange at Melisa's words. "How did you know?" Sophie asked.
"I know anything," Melissa replied casually.
"She's the gossipmonger in this dorm. Be careful if you don't want to be the gossip subject, " Roy said.
Sophie just smiled. She still felt this whole thing was weird. The feeling of feeling a different atmosphere in this place. These people, as well as this place.
Jane arrived on the fifth floor of this castle-like dormitory. Sophie didn't realize she had walked five floors with a limp. The amazement made Sophie not even feel tired.
"This is your room. Please, come in," said Jane.
"Oh, yes. Thank you." Sophie took out the room key that Rein had given her. She then opened the door.
"I'll leave you here alone. You have to adapt to this place." Jane said. "Everything you need is in the room. You don't have to worry. If you're hungry, go downstairs. They provide all kinds of food for all of us."
Sophie heard the word food, and her stomach suddenly rumbled.
"She's hungry," said Melisa. She and Roy followed her into the room.
"You two should go too. No one should disturb Sophie. It's her first day!" Jane warned.
Melissa and Roy were disappointed. They looked so eager to get to know Sophie.
"I'm in the hall if you want to meet me," said Melisa.
"Alright," Sophie replied.
"Okay, we go. Close the door," said Jane. She then left Sophie's room.
Sophie was silent. A moment later, she closed the door. The girl turned around. But she was surprised because there was someone in her room.
"Ah!" Sophie screamed.
