Nora and Smith were surprised to see the usual Sophie coming out of the bathroom. They glanced back and saw Nick rushing into his room. They panicked even more, when Sophie pointed to those who had tortured her.
"You got it wrong, Sophie. There's no way uncle and aunt could do anything bad to you. You fell in the bathroom. Why are you accusing us of a crime?" Nora spoke. But he denied Sophie's accusations.
Sophie looked at Nora savagely. She didn't like it when Nora lied. So far, no one knows about Nora and Smith's behavior towards him. They threaten Sophie that if she tells anyone or the police, Sophie will be kicked out and the house, and Sophie will live as a homeless person. Sophie, who had no one but them, finally couldn't do anything.
"They lied. They tortured me and rarely fed me. I was starving and was being beaten all the time," Sophie said.
Sophie's confession made Nora and Smith both embarrassed and scared. Especially Nora, who really hates the girl. She stood up to Nora, raising her hand as if she was going to hit Sophie.
"You really want me to beat you up!" Nora shrieked.
Jane quickly stood in front of Sophie to protect the girl. "Well, you tortured Sophie before me, Mrs. Walworth," said Jane.
Nora was silent. When emotional, she really can't control herself. But it's too late. Jane already knew what Nora had done to Sophie. Jane immediately handed Sophie the scholarship invitation letter.
"What is it?" Sophie asked.
"Open it and read it," answered Jane. She was still staring at Nora, who was silent as a warning not to disturb Sophie.
Sophie immediately opened the invitation letter. She read it very carefully. An invitation letter for a scholarship at a university called Wolfburg. Sophie felt unfamiliar with the name of the university.
"Wolf? Wolf-like a dog?" Sophie muttered.
Jane glanced sharply at Sophie. "We are different. Wolves do not submit to humans like dogs!"
"We?" Sophie felt strange at Jane's words.
"It's near the university. It lives in the woods in the town of Swanch," Jane replied.
Sophie felt clueless. But she wanted this scholarship. This is the only way for Sophie to be free from the torment of her uncle and aunt.
"I'm coming! I'm going to accept this scholarship. But are you sure that it's all covered by the university? It means like food and some personal stuff?" Sophie asked.
"You don't need to worry, Dear. You got a special scholarship, so it's all free. Even everything you need will also be our concern," said Jane with a smile.
Sophie sensed that Jane had not said everything. There was something Jane was hiding from Sophie.
"You can not!" Smith suddenly rebelled. "You're not going anywhere. Your mother has mandated me to look after you," said Smith. It wasn't that he didn't want Sophie to go. But Jane had seen what had happened to Sophie. If Sophie had left, then Nora and Smith could have been reported to the police by Sophie.
"I don't need your permission, Smith!" Sophie answered. "I'm going with this lady!"
"Damn it!" Nora snapped. "You don't know yourself! Do you even know this woman? What if she tricked you and sold you? You're too young to know how cruel the world is!"
Jane remained with her mysterious smile. She didn't care about Nora and Smith's refusal.
"Bring your clothes. We're leaving now," Jane said to Sophie.
"Okay," Sophie replied. The girl rushed to her room and packed the things she needed to bring. Not without reason, Shopie received the scholarship. It's not just free. But he wanted to save herself. She almost died by Nora and Smith. No one can guarantee her safety if he is still in this house. She shouldn't know what her future will be with strangers, but she should know that her life will die with her family.
Nick walked into Sophie's room and saw the girl about to leave. "You're leaving?" asked Nick.
"I have no choice, Nick. I have to survive in a better environment," Sophie replied as she walked out of the room carrying a backpack filled with her belongings.
Sophie came down with a limp, surprised that there was no more arguing between Smith and Nora. Sophie was ready to leave when Smith warned her.
"If you leave, you're no longer part of this family. Don't expect you to come back," said Smith. His words were threatening. Like a last resort to defend Sophie.
Sophie looked her uncle in the eye. She knew Smith was the only family she had. But what's the point of having a family if his life is not happy.
"Come on, Miss Jane. Let's go," Sophie said, stepping out of the Smith house.
Jane smiled sarcastically at Smith, who was silent as she watched Sophie slip away from her.
"Goodbye, Mr. Walworth," said Jane.
The girl came out following Sophie. The girl was waiting near Jane's luxury car.
Smith and Nora are amazed when they see Jane's luxury car. Jane took her car keys and opened the door for Sophie.
"Sophie!" Smith is still old enough to keep Emma from leaving. The girl briefly turned around, but she got into the car a moment later.
"Goodbye, Uncle," Sophie said.
Jane also got into the car with exquisite and confident steps. They immediately left Smith's house. While the husband and wife were silent when they saw Sophie go by using a luxurious car.
On the way to Swanch town, Sophie was filled with questions in her mind, but she didn't dare ask Jane.
After six hours of travel, Sophie and Jane arrived at a place with a magnificent and luxurious building. This place is really very spacious. Jane parked her car anywhere, then immediately got out of the car.
"Come out," said Jane.
Sophie felt unfamiliar with this place. She doesn't know this place. She also never knew there was a Wolfburg university. The university stands in the middle of the forest.
Sophie got out of the car. She was carrying the bag he was carrying. Jane looked cynically at Sophie's bag, which was considered too disgusting. She immediately snatched the bag from Sophie and threw it away.
"What are you doing!" Sophie screamed. The girl immediately took her bag back.
"Don't bring junk to this place, dear. Or you'll be the laughing stock of the students here," said Jane.
"I don't understand what you said," Sophie said, taking her bag back.
Jane sighed. "I forgot, you're different," Jane said as she stepped into the grand building.
