Sam Anthony, the student Jane thinks, is the most popular in this place. Suddenly the man was inside Sophie's room. Sophie remembered well that she had opened this room with the key. Then how did Sam get into this room?
Sam sat on the bed that Sophie hadn't even touched. The man strangely looked at Sophie. He looked at Sophie as if something was connected between the two of them. His face was very handsome, but there was no friendly smile on Sam's face. His eyes are yellow. Okay, almost everyone in Wolfburg has yellow eyes. But Sam's was like a magnet pulling Sophie. The color is too flashy. Not to mention his body is so dashing and also prominent. It seemed almost impossible that he was a seventeen-year-old like Sophie.
"How did you get here?" Sophie asked. The girl was scared but tried to get up the courage to ask.
Sam didn't answer. Instead, he stood up and approached Sophie. The girl stepped back as Sam tried to approach.
"W-what do you want?" Sophie asked.
Sam still didn't answer. The girl retreated further and further until she was cornered in the door. She couldn't go anywhere when Sam's hands touched the door and held Sophie there. Sam didn't hesitate to lean over so Sophie couldn't move. Sam's eyes were fixed on her. He was like a beast ready to pounce on Sophie.
"Are you a human?" asked Sam.
Sophie was surprised. Why did Sam ask like that? "Of course I'm a human," Sophie said harshly.
"Then why are you here?" Sam asked again. He didn't feel awkward about Sophie, whom he had just met.
"I got a scholarship."
Sam's brow furrowed. He was not satisfied with Sophie's answer. But Sophie wasn't lying. The girl is not making up stories. Sam smirked. Sophie was really scared when Sam acted like that. He looks scary but very handsome. Sophie's mind was wrangling to decide whether Sam was handsome or scary.
"So, what do you think about me?" asked Sam.
"Think about you?" Sophie shook her head. "I don't know. I don't know you. I don't know who you are."
This is crazy. They stare at each other like a very intense couple. However, Sophie felt like a stupid girl in front of a bad boy.
"But why do you attract me like a magnet?" asked Sam.
"Huh? I don't understand. I didn't do anything to you," Sophie said.
Sam touched Sophie's face. Their faces were so close that Sophie had to close her eyes. Sophie could sense Sam's scent clearly. But why is his heart beating so fast? What's this?
"Are you a playboy?" Sophie asked. She was casually speaking, but Sam's expression suddenly turned stunned. As if Sophie's words were valid.
Sophie tried to push him against Sam's body, but she couldn't. Sam's body felt like steel. Very stiff, solid, and also… hot.
"Why are you so hot?" Sophie asked. She felt Sam's body and felt Sam's body was too hot for human size. "Are you sick?"
"Sick?" Sam chuckled at Sophie's words. She then took Sophie's hand and held it. "Oh, my God. Human." Sam closed his eyes as if he was feeling something.
"Let me go!" Sophie screamed as she pulled her hand away, but because Sam's grip was too firm, Sophie had to dislocate her wrist. Sophie screamed so loudly that Sam panicked.
"Stop! Stop! Don't scream!"
"My hand hurts!" Sophie held her hand, which felt like it was broken.
Sophie's screams were heard from outside. Jane, who received a report from the other dormitory residents, immediately came to Sophie's room and knocked on the door.
"Sophie, what happened?" asked Jane.
Sam widened his eyes at the sound of Jane's voice. He forbade Sophie to open the door.
"Don't open the door!" Sam orders.
Sophie was confused. Her hand was already sore. She couldn't help it. "I can't" Sophie pulled the door lever as Sam ran to the window and jumped.
"What?" Once again, Sophie was astonished. She saw Sam jump out of her room window. The room is on the fifth floor. It seemed impossible for Sam to jump in, and he would be fine.
But the bedroom door was already open. Jane came in and saw Sophie's hand being held by the girl.
"What is it?" Jane grabbed Sophie's hand. The girl screamed in pain. Jane was surprised by this. "Who's done it?"
Sophie was being cared for by a middle-aged blonde woman in the infirmary. But this place is tranquil. It felt strange with the size of this place and the number of students there. Not a single student was sick. There was only Sophie. This place was too quiet as if no one had ever come.
"I'm grateful I can finally practice," said the woman wearing a doctor's outfit.
"Yes?" Sophie didn't understand. She was still busy with the pain.
"This infirmary is never used. Students here never get sick. I'm glad you came. Oh, by the way. My name is Olive," the woman said.
"Olive? So you like it when I'm sick?" Sophie asked.
"Oh, Dear. I didn't mean it that way. I'm so glad I could do something. I didn't say I liked you sick. Sorry if I hurt you," Olive said.
Sophie shook her head. "Never mind. I've been in a lot of pain."
Sophie was talking, but Olive's gaze turned the other way. She realized there was a figure waiting outside the infirmary.
"Sam, come in! Don't just go outside!" said Olive.
"Sam?" Sophie also refused. She almost forgot about Sam, who had jumped from the window.
Sam entered slowly. His face was still the same, showing ruthlessness and hatred towards Sophie. But the look in his eyes changed. He looked worried for the girl.
"Are you alright?" asked Sam.
Sophie showed her bandaged hand. "You can see this bandage," Sophie said.
Olive looked at Sam suspiciously, but Sam glared at him, so Olive chose to get out of the way.
"You guys talk. I'll get some medicine for you," Olive said to Sophie.
Olive leaves behind Sam and Sophie. Sophie looked Sam up and down. She was surprised; there was not a single wound on Sam's body. The man also looked fine. How could that be? Is he a superhero? How could Sam survive after jumping from the fifth floor?
"Who are you?" Sophie asked.
Sam's ears tightened at Sophie's question. He approached the girl slowly. "Why are you asking? Shouldn't you have known when you were in this place?" asked Sam.
"What? I know? I know what? Who are you? Why are you just okay after jumping from the fifth floor?"
Sam smiled as he looked at Sophie. The two of them looked at each other as if there was a thread connecting them.
