Sophie didn't have to think to recognize the voice. He is Sam. Whereas before coming to Geralt's room, Sophie had met this man.
"Sam, you're not taking Professor McCartney's class?" Melisa, who had just been crying, immediately wiped her tears and spoke to Sam, who turned out to be in the hall.
Roy released his arms to Melisa and immediately approached Sam. He tugged at Sam's collar and showed his anger at the man.
Sophie glared when she saw Roy was angry with Sam. Meanwhile, Melisa is afraid because she doesn't want Roy to get into a fight with Sam. However, Roy will not be able to fight Sam.
"What are you doing?" asked Sam. His expression was relatively calm even though Roy was showing his anger.
"You know what your mate has done? If you're serious about making her your Luna, you should educate her well. Don't let me rip her mouth off with my own hands!" said Roy harshly.
Melisa was apprehensive about Roy's actions. She didn't want Roy to be summoned by the New Moon Pack council because he had fought Sam. She immediately approached Roy and asked him to let Sam go.
"Roy, Sam doesn't know anything. Anyway, what Sarah said is true. I'm an omega," said Melisa.
Sam raised an eyebrow. He tried to digest what Melisa said.
"What is going on?" asked Sam.
Sophie sighed. she didn't really want to get involved in this fight. But it seems someone has to explain. Roy or Melisa is in an emotional state. They will be very subjective in telling Sam.
"Your girlfriend insulted Melisa because she hung out with me and said I was a Hybrid. Your girlfriend also mocked Roy for having an omega mate. Sarah thinks Roy doesn't deserve to be with Melisa." Sophie explained. She is still in a sitting position. She wanted to see the condition of her injured leg.
Sam looked at Roy. He knew Sarah was very arrogant and rude. But Melisa is indeed a descendant of omega. And Roy is a descendant of Beta. Sam knows Roy's parents disagree with Melisa. They asked Roy to reject the girl, but Roy didn't want to.
"Melisa," Sam called.
Melisa obediently lifted her head and looked at Sam. "Yeah?"
"I'm sorry. You know that she's always like that. But you also have to understand. Sarah is telling the truth. You shouldn't hang out with Hybrids. Even if their half-blood is like us. They're still human. We have rules about this," said Sam.
"But Sophie is fine. She has no one here. I can't leave her alone." Melisa dodged. To her, Sophie was harmless. Sophie was even too weak for them.
This time Sophie stood up. The girl seemed to be fed up with the words that came out of them all, which she thought were very strange.
"Why aren't any of you willing to explain anything to me? Okay, I'm a Hybrid. What is a Hybrid? Is that some kind of new species on earth? Then Alpha, Omega, Beta? Are you guys playing arithmetic? I really don't get what you guys are talking about! Jane says I don't need to know. But everyone looks at me like I'm some weird creature in this place!" Sophie was sick.
They all fell silent at Sophie's words. Melisa did not dare to explain anything. Likewise with Roy. There's Sam here. Maybe he has more right to explain. That's if he wants to.
Sam approached Sophie. He stared intently at the girl. Once again, Sophie had to get Sam's gaze, which made her not move.
"I told you, you'll have to wait. Jane will explain to you. You are really stubborn!" cried Sam.
Sophie was annoyed. She was distraught. She just wanted to know more about this place, but no one wanted to tell her. She looked at Sam with an extract of anger.
"Okay, I won't ask again! Maybe this place is some kind of state-owned secret laboratory, so you guys keep everything from me!" Sophie screamed.
The girl came out of the hall. She ran away with anger buried in her heart. Maybe she was wrong for being too curious. But does Sophie really have to know nothing? What if the guess is correct? What if this place is indeed a dangerous place?
While running, Sophie tried to think. The girl couldn't find an answer. Everyone looked happy. Maybe Sophie was used to being bullied, but when people looked at her in weird ways, nothing like this ever happened.
Sophie didn't go back to the dormitory, even though she had to do online school after lunch. The girl instead walked out of the university. She wanted to know what this place was. Sophie wanted to ask the residents around this place.
Sophie walked alone. The girl barely found housing around the university. She only saw a forest and a small enough road for a car to pass.
"What place is this?" Sophie muttered.
Sophie didn't even notice any other humans outside the university. This made Sophie even more suspicious that this place was extraordinary.
"How can they build a university in the middle of the forest like this? How do we get to the city? There's no access in this place?" Sophie complained.
Sophie kept walking, unaware that it was almost lunchtime. Her stomach felt hungry. Sophie also intends to return to university. But when she turned around, she was at a loss as to what to do. Sophie couldn't remember the direction. She forgot the path she had taken earlier.
"I'm sure I was just walking around for a bit," Sophie muttered. "But why don't I recognize this road?"
Sophie continued on her way back to university. She just followed the direction of the small path that she thought she had passed. The girl held her stomach because she felt so hungry.
Meanwhile, Melisa and Roy just got out of class. They intended to take Sophie into the dining room for lunch. But when they go to romance, Sophie is not in her room.
"Where is she going?" mumbled Melisa.
"Wasn't she already out of the hall? Why isn't she in her room?" murmured Roy.
"Maybe she's in the dining room. We'd better go."
Melisa took Roy's hand and went to the dining room in the dormitory. The room was huge and had several tables. Residents of the dormitory will eat here, including the boarders and university staff.
Jane was already in the dining room. She had to notice that the students had already gathered to eat. She is responsible for it. When she saw Melisa and Roy, she approached them both.
"Why don't you guys take Sophie along?" asked Jane.
Melisa was suddenly worried. She looked at Roy. She realized that Sophie was not there.
"Jane, I think she's gone," said Melisa.
