"Really?" Skye said, a little shocked from the information that she heard. "Yes." Abby replied with a smile, amused on the girl's reaction. "Awesome." Skye enthusiastically said afterwards ,unaware of Abby's stare. She was more than glad to know that she finally had a way to get closer to the brunette, and it's her Bestfriend. But that if she will be able to gather information from the ginger head about the brunette beauty. She still had hopes though. "You look happy." Abby commented as she stared at the girl and laughed afterwards when she quickly look away. Hiding the smile she barely contained. "May I know your name?" Abby gently asked her. Skye like the calmness and softness of her voice and the way she talks. She reminds her of their mom. "I thought you wouldn't asked." Skye quickly closed her mouth and mentally slapped her face when she realized what she said. She got way comfortable talking the ginger head woman that she said those. 'Don't talk like that. She might think you're flirting with her.' she said to her mind. The woman in front of her surprisingly laughed at her sentence. Her eyes smiles as she do so. "You're funny." she said between her giggles and Skye just bowed her head a little as she scratches her left eyebrow. Abby cleared her throat and said. "So what's your name? By the way, I'm Abigail Lawson. Abby for short." she introduced herself and offered her hand to shake. "Skye Anderson. " the girl said and shook their hands afterwards. "Nice name." Abby commented with a smile. "How old are you, Skye?" she added, asking her curiously. "I just turned twenty one last month." Skye replied. "Ahh. Just three years younger, Vee. You got yours-" "What?" Abby quickly stop what she was about to say when Skye suddenly asked her. Looking at her questioningly like a curious child. She mentally scolded herself because she for forgetting to use their link. It was supposed to be Violet she was talking t. 'That's one of the reason that I don't want you to talk to her. You can be reckless sometimes.' The grumpy Alpha said to her after her long silence at the distance. 'Shut up.' She quickly replied to Violet before she turned to face Skye again and laughed a little. "I mean, I didn't guess you're already twenty one cause you look more younger. I thought you're just eighteen." she said sugarcoating her a bit. But honestly for Abby, Skye really do look younger than her actual age. Maybe because of her bright aura. If she's to be asked if Violet and this girl were fitted together, then she would gladly say yes. Even Skye was younger than her and her Bestfriend, she would the auburn haired girl to be their Luna. She could be the sunshine in the rain. In a storm actually. That's what Abby's thought when she think about their Alpha's attitude. "The others have told me too." "I bet you have a secret though. May I know?" Abby asked her as she playfully squinted her eyes at her. Skye laughed at her companion's silliness. She felt great talking to her. It feels like her tiredness was somehow lessen and she even forget how hungry she is. She can't believe to herself that she was able to wait for somebody for almost seven hours now. "I'm sorry, but it's a secret." Skye said, faking a serious face. "Ouch." Abby said as she put her hand on her chest, feigning hurt. "I'm your friend now. You should tell me your secret so that I can look younger too." She added. Skye's forehead creased but she still giggled. "But you don't it. You still look young." She said, smiling brightly to the person beside her. "Hey, Don't sugarcoat me." Abby said as she crossed her arms on her chest. "I'm not." Skye laughed a little at her. "I'm stating a fact. You really look young and vibrant too. If you're just blonde, I might think you're a real life barbie." she added with a timid smile. Abby smirked at what she said. Her heart melted from the praise she gets from the girl. She have never heard that from her own Bestfriend. Yes they love each other and they have a strong bond but they always banter. Violet don't even know how to exchange nice pleasantries. She just always settle for "Hello, Hi. Good day." She just lucky she can bear her attitude. "So, do you low-key mean that I'm not as beautiful as barbie if I'm not blonde? I can sense you don't like my hair." Abby seriously said while raising her eyebrow at her. But she was just joking actually. "No , no. I didn't mean that." Skye laughed nervously. She didn't know that the nice and vibrant Abigail can be this scary. No wonder why they were Bestfriend. 'They should include Maddie on their group. They would be a perfect trio. Violet will obviously be the leader.' she thought. "I love your hair actually." Skye added as she scratches her eyebrow again. Abby noticed it and she guess that maybe it's a mannerism of her everytime she get shy. Abby couldn't help but smile at her cuteness. If she just had a sister, she would like her to have a good manner and cute gestures like Skye. "Aww, Thanks." the ginger head said with content smile. And Skye just sighed, slightly confused on her mood changes. Well, her mood was confusing sometimes too. She can be nice and then naughty at the same time. Skye's thoughts were interrupted when her phone suddenly rang. She took it out from her pocket and check the caller ID. It was her sister Maddison. She's probably at home now. She then turned to the ginger head and said. "Excuse me for a while." and then answered the call after Abby muttered an "okay". "Hey, Madd-" "Skye Ellery Anderson! Where the hell are you?!" Maddison instantly said as soon as her sister answered the phone. Completely cutting off Skye's sentence. Skye winced at her sister's voice before she talked to her. "You cursed." she shortly replied. Which is not exactly the answer her sister wanted to hear. "Don't you dare change the topic and answer me." Maddison firmly said from the other line. "Don't say you're with Piper because I just saw them got outside the theater without you." she added, emphasizing the last two words. Skye unintentionally glanced at the ginger head beside her. Abby is smirking, clearly amused on how Maddison and her talk to each other. She smiled, but more like a grimaced before she turned her back on Abby. She didn't want to get embarrassed in front of the red headed beauty. "Don't you remember that I told you that I need to go somewhere?" Skye said as quietly as she could so Abby wouldn't hear them. But little did she know that the woman she just met can actually hear their conversation. She can even heard the extra noises from the other line too. "Yeah, you did. But you didn't tell me where exactly that somewhere is." her sister retorted back. "Maddie," Skye smirked at her before she talks again. "I'm an adult now. I don't need to say where exactly would I be. Where's the thrill on that anyway?" she added and laughed at her own sentence. "Did you really said that?!" Maddison said in a more higher pitched voice. And Skye immediately hold the phone away from her ear for a second and take it back again. "Geez Maddison, you don't need to shout. I'm just joking." Skye replied she combed back her hair using her hand. "Well I'm not!" Maddison shouted again. Skye winced again but rolled her eyes afterwards. She heard the girl behind her chuckled. "What if something bad happened to you again just like other day and I don't even know where you are at the first place?" Her older sister said and sighed. Skye can sense the tiredness on her voice when she's not shouting anymore. She felt guilty that she always make her sister worries on her. Abby on the other hand, just purses her lips when she heard the person on the other line said. She immediately knew exactly what she was talking about. It was the incident at the alley where Violet interfered. "Okay, I'm sorry." Skye softly said. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you. But I promise I'm just fine. I'm not in any kind of trouble and I'm not causing one. I just went to some nice places to unwind. That's just it. " she said, explaining to her protective sister without entirely saying the truth. "So just relax, okay?" she added. Her sister on the other didn't say anything and just took a deep breath. "I know you're tired today Maddie, so please calm down. Don't waste your energy and don't worry about me." Skye said afterwards. "And please don't shout at me again." she added, whining at her older sister. "Okay, then." Maddison replied to her and said. "But you should go home now. Don't make me fetch you to wherever you are." she added and Skye can sense that she's rolling her eyes now. She playfully rolled her eyes too and said."Okay, okay. I'll go now, bye." as she chuckles. Skye then hung up her phone when Maddison said her goodbyes too. "It seems that the person you're talking to is so protective of you." Skye turned to Abby when she heard her say it. The latter have a sweet smile on her face but her eyes were mocking her. "Yeah." Skye replied and sighed. "It's my sister." She added as she put her phone back to her pocket. "I'm sorry, Abigail. But I need to go home now." Skye said before she stood up. Abby stood up too, with a smile that still etched on her face. "You can call me Abby, you know." she said smirking at the younger woman. "And don't be sorry, we can still talk with each other next time. " Skye's lips instantly formed a smile when she heard those words. So there will be a next time. That's what she thought. And she's hoping that Violet will be with them by then. "So I guess this is it." Abby said. "Yeah, it's nice to meet you, Abigail. I mean, Abby." Skye said and chuckled at her mistake. Abby smiled too, and said. "Like wise." her short reply. "Good bye." She said and nodded her head to the auburn haired girl before she turned to walk towards their car, but she immediately stop on her tracks when she remembered something. "Oh, I almost forgot." She said turning back to Skye and laughing at herself. "I should carry that." she added as she points her finger to the box that was on the bench. And Skye looked at where she was pointing at. "Oh my. Yeah. I forgot about it too." She said as she took the box and gently gave it to Abby. The latter took it and smiled. " Thanks." she said. "Wait." Skye stop Abby when she was about to go. "What is it?" Abby curiously asked. "Can you tell her I'm sorry?" The younger woman politely asked. "Yeah. I would definitely tell her, don't worry." Abby said as she nodded her head. Even though she really wanted to hear the story behind that sorry. "Thanks." Skye said with a genuine smile. "Good bye." she said afterwards and turned to walk to her motorbike after Abby said her goodbyes too. Abby just watched the girl put her helmet on and started up the engine of her bike and drove off before she walk back to her car where the strangely quiet Alpha was still waiting for her. She walk gracefully as she held the box of chocolate muffins in her hands. She went to the driver's side instead on the passenger's, and knock at the heavily tinted window. The brunette rolled the window down with a stoic face. Abby then gave the box to her and then said. "Take it. Or I will those if you won't." The fearless Alpha frowned at her bestfriend but still accept it thought without saying a thing. And Abby walk around to the passenger side with a triumphant smile on her face. She low-key wanted this to be the start.
