Chapter 17: Blue eyed companion

845 Words
A pair of beautiful eyes came across Skye's mind as she gazed upon the clouds above. She can still vividly remember those . They were blueish grey, with flecks of gold and brown. They seemed familiar to her. Not the color but rather the way it look at her. It was so intense yet unbelievably calming. Piper and her friends were having a fun time swimming while she preffered to sit on a log at the lakeside. Day dreaming about the woman she saw yesterday. Skye didn't exactly know what happened that time after she fell and hit her head. She doesn't even know what happened to the asshole who harassed her. All she can remember, especially when the dizziness subsided, was the woman she thought was an angel if she hadn't touch her. But even though she's not an actual angel yet she's there to save her. She didn't even get to say thank you to her when she just vanished. Skye frowned and thought where would she possibly found her. Cause strangely, deep down, she wanted to see her again. She don't know why, she just have the urge to. "It's either you don't know how to swim or you're just a loner, that's why you're sitting here rather than joining them." A slightly deep and sultry voice said and it caught Skye's attention so she turned her head to the direction of the voice. It was Miss Serious, walking towards her with her hands on the pockets of her tattered jeans. She seemed had an indifferent look. "Can I seat?" She asked when she stopped at Skye. "Y-yes." Skye replied after gazing on her for a while and scooted over. Miss serious sat and then turned to look at her. "So?" She asked and Skye immediately turned her head to her. "What?" She replied, a little confused. Miss Serious, who had a light tanned skin and ocean blue eyes, raised her eybrow at her. "What's the reason?" She asked. "Oh." Skye said when she understands what she was talking about. "Neither of both, actually. " She replied. "I'm just thinking about something." She added, nonchalantly and then turned her attention towards their companions. "Don't tell me you're still scared." She heard Miss Serious said and she turned her head quickly at her. The latter's attention was on her friends. "You knew about it too?" Skye asked with a creased form on her forehead. "All of us." was her short reply. "I thought it should be confidential." Skye muttered faintly. She said it more to herself. She was confused. She thought it should be confidential. "You know, you don't have to be afraid anymore." Miss serious said and Skye felt her stare at her so she turned. A pair of ocean blue eyes was intently looking at her. "That.... thing is gone now. It cant harm you again." "Yeah. I know." Skye replied unsure, breaking her stare from the girl beside her. When she actually think about it. That thing didn't really harmed her. Even she saw it twice. Skye sighed. She still felt chills everytime she remembered it. "Why are you not joining them too?" She said. Trying to change the topic of their conversation. The ash brown haired girl noticed it but didn't said anything and just replied. "Nah. I'm good." she said and smile. That smile caught Skye's attention, she looked at her a little awestruck. She can't believe that Miss serious can actually smile. "What?" The latter said with a coy smile and raising her eyebrow for a second time. Skye blinked her eyes and said. "Nothing." Then turned her gaze to others. She noticed the guy, Dean, the one that drives the truck was looking at their direction with a creased on his head, as he laughed with friends. "Are you sure you don't want to join them?" Skye asked. "It seems you don't like me that's why you're shushing me away?" Miss serious said. And the smile was gone on her face and replaced with a more serious look. "Oh no, no." Skye replied quickly. "It's not like that. It's just." She added and glanced at the Dean who was still had a unusual look on them. "You're boyfriend is looking at us. He might be jealous." Miss Serious look at her confused. When she turned to look to where Skye's was looking at, she laughed. And Skye was looking at her questioningly. "He's not my boyfriend." Miss serious when the laughter subsided. "He's my twin brother." She added with smile. She's quite fond of the innocent face and reaction of her auburn haired girl companion. "Oh God. I-I'm sorry. I didn't know. I thought you two were- I'm." Skye stopped blabbering when Miss serious suddenly touch the back of her hand. "Hey. It's okay. You weren't the only one who thought were a couple." Miss serious said with a lopsided grin and an intense look. Skye turned silence and stared back. Her face turned pink when she knew that Miss serious hand was still on hers.
