Chapter 16: Friends it is

Skye walk towards the door when someone rang the doorbell. She feels better now. Maddison already cleaned and put a gauze on the small cut at the side of her head just above her right eye brow. She still felt pain on it though but much less than yesterday. She's lucky it's not too deep it wouldn't leave a scar.

As for the guy who harassed her, she dont know what happened to him. They said he didn't go to jail for a certain reasons. But Levi promise her that the guy could never lay a finger on her ever again. He could not even be near with her. That's for sure.

Skye opened the door and was greeted by an overly happy Piper. Her hair is in ponytail now and she wore a cream colored tank top with a short shorts.

"Hi." She said in a high energy voice and suddenly hugged her tight. She tiptoed a little because of their height difference.

Skye was stunned but didn't hugged her back. Both of her hands just remained at her side not even moving an inch, confused about her move. She's not used hugging someone she barely new but somehow she's not uncomfortable from it.

Piper pulled back for a couple of second and the smile was still etched on her face.

"I'm sorry. I'm just glad you didn't leave." She said. Skye can see that Piper is genuinely happy. And she seemed a little bit happy too knowing there's someone who wanted her stay even that's not entirely the reason.

"I did it for Maddie." Skye replied with a faint smile.

"Yes, I know." Piper said while nodding her head a liitle. "Wait. What happened to your head?" She asked, frowning, when she noticed the gauze on Skye's head.

"Ah." Skye said and gently touched her head right where her wound is. "It's a long story."

"Oh. Okay."

Both Piper and Skye's attention was caught by the honking of the red faded pick up truck that parked on the front of their lawn. There's two guys sitting at the back and a girl sitting in the passenger seat beside the other guy who drives the truck. And they were all looking at their direction.

"That's my friends." Piper said when she turned to face Skye again. "You probably remembered their faces too. We actually planned to go to the lake. And then I remembered you so we came by. I just thought if you like to go with us?" She added asking her to go with them.

"I didn't know there's a lake here." That's the reply that came out on Skye's mouth and it brought laughter to Piper.

"Of course there is. There is actually so many things you still didn't know." Piper said, She's like hinting about something that Skye don't even had an idea for.

"So. You going or not?" Piper asked. Bouncing a little like a child thats waiting for an answer. Skye find it adorable.

She didn't reply though. She just open her mouth and close it again and sighed. Then she unintentionally look at the direction of Piper's friend. And the latter noticed it.

"If you're worried that there will be something happen to you, well don't be. You can trust us." Piper said in a serious tone.

"Especially the boys." Piper continued while pointing her thumb to her friends direction. "They maybe unserious sometimes but they won't let anything happen to you. Levi trusted them so much." She added looking intently at Skye, waiting for her response.

Skye just sighed. "No. It's not it. I trust you. It's just..." She started while looking downwards and scratching her left eyebrow with her left hand.

She then turned to face at Piper and said. "I need to ask Maddie's permission first." She said, her cheeks turning red, a little embarrassed.

"Oh." Piper replied and then she laughed a little. "I didn't know you still ask permissions from Maddie."

"I don't usually." Skye quickly replied. "But she's been worried and got mad because of this." She said pointing at the wound on her head. "And I don't want her to get mad again. Believe me, you don't wanna see her mad. A mad Maddison is really scary. Heck, there's even the word Mad on her name. She owns that word, geez." She added and slightly bewildered of that realization.

Skye heard someone laugh. She looked at Piper friends and there she saw the guy who was sitting at the back with a bandana on the head can't stop wheezing. The other guy slightly punch him on the shoulder when he noticed Skye was looking at them so the guy stop himself from laughing.

"I get it." Piper draw her attention back. "Well, what if I'll gonna ask her permission for you instead. Maybe she'll agreed." She offered with a smile and a little confidence.

"Why not." Skye replied and step aside to let Piper in. She bet Maddison would say no for an instant but then she should give the girl a chance.

"So where is she?" Piper asked when she entered the house.

Skye closed the door and replied. "In the kitchen. She's with Levi."

"Okay. Lead the way." Piper said letting Skye to walk first.

Skye walk towards the kitchen with Piper following her behind. When she entered the kitchen, Maddison, who was currently skimming on the sketches of designs of her wedding dresses immediately asked her when she looked up.

"Who is it?" She asked.

Skye was about to say when the girl who don't run out of energy walked in. Greeting the couple who were both sitting on the table with two cups of coffee infront of them.

"Hi Maddison, good morning." Piper said with a bright smile and a cute little wave. "Hi there, Levi." She added, glancing at Levi who's sitting in front of Maddison.

"Piper!" Maddison exclaimed. There is a wide smile etched on her face for seeing the girl. "What brings you here?" She asked.

"I'm with my friends." She replied while holding both of her hands on her back, seemingly shy. Skye's eyebrow raised beacuse of it.

"We're going for a swim at the lake. We dropped by to invite Skye with us. If that's okay with you." She added, asking Maddie.

Maddison turned her body to face them entirely before she replied. "Wow, that's great. " She said, still smiling. "Skye really needed some fresh air. "

Piper's face lit up and asked again. "So it's a yes?"

"Of course it is. I don't see why not." Maddison confirmed.

Skye who was just listening to their conversation and witnessing their cute interaction interrupt them. "Wait, really?" She said, looking at her sister questioningly.

"Why? Is there a problem?" Maddison asked as she turned to looked at Skye.

"No. I just can't believe you actually agreed. I thought you wouldn't. Cause you just said yesterday that I can't wander around anymore." Skye said with a little creased formed on her head.

"Did I say it?" Maddison said, trying to remember it. But Skye knew she was just acting up. She knew Maddison. She won't just forget about the rules she set. And Skye rolled her eyes up because of it.

"Yes you did." Skye insisted. " I can still recall what you said. 'Skye Ellery Anderson! Don't you ever go far away by yourself anymore or else I'll keep you grounded for the rest of your life!" She said, immitating her sister.

Levi suddenly laughed at her and immediately stopped when Maddison gave her a stern look.

"Well." Maddie started and face her sister again. " What I said was don't go by yourself. I didn't say you can't go out with them. That's why I agreed because I trust you with them than I trust you with yourself. So if you ever make trouble again, at least they're there to stop you." she continues while crossing her arms.

"Fair enough." Skye muttered and sighed.

She then turned and looked at Piper, questioningly, when she heard her giggled.

"I didn't know you're a trouble maker." Piper said.

"No, I'm not." Skye scoffed.

"Yes you are." Maddison firmly said.

Skye just sighed and said. "Whatever." before she held out her hand to her sister. Wiggled her eyebrows to her then pursed her lips.

"No, you won't bring Uno." Her sister said in a stern voice before she sat back properly and cleared her throat.

"Aw, that's no fun, Maddie." Skye said, frowning at her.

"Fun means trouble, Skye. And I don't want trouble." Her modest sister said before she took a sip on her coffee.

Skye just huffed at her sister who's still refusing to give her keys. She maybe old enough to do what she wanted but she won't disobey her. So she have no choice.

"Who's Uno." Piper curiously asked particularly to no one.

"Her motorbike." Levi replied shortly and drink some on his cup of coffee.

"Oh." The short girl said and turned to looked at Skye. "It's okay. You don't need it. We actually wanted you to ride with us."

"She's right Skye." Maddison said and faced them. "They invited you. It's seem rude if you just ride a bike of your own. So go on and ride with them. And please behave yourself. Cause I don't want to see another cut on your face or any part of your body. You almost gave me a heart attack yesterday."

"Relax, Maddie." Skye said, smirkng a little.

"And Piper." Maddie called and faced the brown haired girl. "Can you please take care of her?" She softly asked.

"Yes, I will. I promise." Piper immediately replied back. The smile did not falter on her face.

Skye laughed at what her sister said.

"You're really asking the person that is actually a minor to take care of me?" She said, looking at her sister incredulously. "You're ridiculous Maddie. I'm probably the oldest among them. I should be the one to do that. "

Maddison looked at her little sister and her faced turned unfazed. "Yes, she maybe a minor but she's well-behaved and more sensible than you." She said in a voice that void of emotions.

Skye just sighed and faced Piper. "Okay, that's it. I think we should go ." She said before she walk out the kitchen.

Piper just giggled at Skye behavior before she said her goodbyes to the couple. "Bye, Maddison. Bye, Lev."

"Bye, Piper. Take care." Maddison replied back before Piper walk out and followed Skye who was already opening the front door.

"Geez." Piper said when they got out of the house. "I didn't know the sweet and caring Maddison can be a scary Maddison. She became strict when it comes to you." She continues as they walk down the small stairs to their lawn.

"You said it." Skye replied and faced Piper as they walk together. "To tell you honestly, she's more strict than our mom."

"It's adorable actually." Piper replied with a cute smile and Skye grimaced at her.

"Hey guys." The brown haired girl greeted when they reach her friends. "This is Skye." She said subtly pointing at Skye.

"Skye meet my friends." She continued and then point at the two person on the front. "That's Dean and Vanessa." She said, and the guy on the driver seat wave at her while the girl at the passenger seat with a long and wavy ash brown hair just turned her head a little not entirely facing them. 'Oh. It's miss serious.' Skye thought as she remembered her.

"And that's Eric and Seamus." Piper the added, saying the name of the other two at the back.

"Hi" said by the guy who had a bandana on his head. Smiling at her and giving her a little wave.

The other guy who's skin is dark brown and had a slightly long and curly hair just smiled at her.

Skye just smiled back then and said her Hi's. They are a bunch of teenagers but they look like the same age as her. Or she just look you younger.

"Are you ready, Skye?" Asked by the guy on the driver seat who had a nicely cut hair with neatly neatly shaved side.

"I guess." Skye replied and shrugged her shoulders.

"Then hop on." He replied back and started the engine.

In one swift move, Violet pinned the already bruised Hudson on the tree, holding out his left arm to his back and pressing her right arm to the back of his neck. Pushing his face on the tree.

"Is this what you want? Showing dominance to others who's weaker than you? What's the feeling now when you're in their place." Violet said growling, pinning him more by applying more pressure to his neck and the guy yelp.

"I-I'm sorry, Violet. I won't do that again." He said in a trembled voice. The fear was evident on his face. Afraid to end his life by the fearless and strongest Alpha in town.

"It doesn't mean that your stronger enough, you can just harass someone like that." The brunette said and turned him away from the tree and pushed him hard. He almost look like flying on the force she exert and got stumbled and rolled away. Fractured his left arm on the process.

"I'm really sorry, Violet." Hudson cried out as he laid on the ground. And Violet was so satisfied seeing him trembling and terrified.

They are currently in the forest now. Particularly inside her property. When she knew which pack Hudson belonged to she immediately go to him, dragging him here. His pack didn't even defend him because they knew he was wrong on the first place. And no one really wanted to go against her. And besides, his Alpha wanted to disowned him for a long time ago because of his behavior.

"It won't happen again. I swear." Hudson added as he held her fractured arm.

Violet walk slowly towards him. The anger was obviously shown on her face. Savoring this moment to beat the hell out of him since she doesn't have a chance yesterday because since she don't want to expose herself to her mate. She growled more when she remembered how the guy grab her mate's ass.

"Yes you will." She said and grab his shirt that's already stained with blood and pinned him up on the tree by choking his neck with her other hand. "Cause if you ever lay even just a finger to her again, I will cut your throat and end your life."

"No, please." He plead, coughing and can barely talked. "It won't happen again. I already promised it to Levi."

He caught Violet attention when he mentioned the name of her pack's friend.

"What are you talking about?" she said, hissing at him.

"Why would Levi involved in this?" she asked.

"The girl." Hudson said while grasping on Violet hand that she's using to choke him. "She was his mate's sister."

Violet growling subsided and her grip on him loosen when she knew about that information. Hudson dropped on the ground while she was just standing there staring at nothing particularly. She didn't know what to felt. But one thing is for sure.

She closer to her world more than she thought.
