"Looking for this?" Jackson stop playing the ball and raised it for Skye to see although she can clearly see it. That was really unnecessary. "Um, yeah." Skye's short reply, unsure on what to say. If the guy is one of her friends, she would surely said a snarky reply. But then he isn't. Skye knew nothing about him besides his name. Piper didn't really gave that much of a needed information when she asked her earlier. "Hey Skye. You okay?" Vanessa asked for a second time now. "Who's that?" Skye asked her that provide an answer to her question. Her attention was still on the guy who gate crashed to the party. Who is currently drinking his beer that Roland gave to him. The music started playing again and the people got back to what they were previously doing. Roland and the guy talk to each other from a distance. They didn't bothered to join and sat on the table where her sister and Levi are. "That's Jackson." She heard Piper said. She waited for the girl to say something more about him but she heard nothing so she turned her head towards the brown haired girl. Her eyebrow perked when she saw Piper is now busy eating another round of her strawberry shortcake. "Are you here for a vacation?" Skye heard the guy asked. The soccer ball was now on his left side. Gripping the ball using just his one hand. "Because I've been in this neighborhood for like a hundred times but I'm certain I didn't saw your beautiful face here on those visits." He continued. The lopsided grin already left on his face but there was a glint on his eyes as she waited for her reply. Skye was naive sometimes and she kind of had a hard time figuring out someone but she knew that specific look. It's the same look she received from some of the guys she met. Most of them had a liking to her and some of them wanted to get under her pants. Skye scoffed in her mind. 'Please don't add up to them.' She said in her thoughts. "I'm here for my sister's wedding." Skye casually said wanting to end their conversation right away. It's not like that she hated the guy but she doesn't like him either. Even though she admits that he had the looks and the body that would surely make a girl drool over but Skye can impossibly be swooned by that. Only a woman can charm her. "Oh?" Jackson said with a little frown as he think through. "And who's sister are you referring to? Do I know her?" He asked as he titled his head to the side, waiting for her reply. "I guess not." Skye replied with a half shrugged. Jackson pursed his lips. "What about her soon to be husband though? Do I know him?" He asked another. Skye subtly perked her eyebrow at him. This man obviously wouldn't stop talking to her and she started to get annoyed because of it. "Probably." She replied with a bored face as she put both of her hands on the back pockets of her jeans and shifted her weight on her left foot. "What's his name?" Jackson asked her again and she nearly rolled her eyes. She doesn't get it why this guy still hadn't pick up the sign that she doesn't want to talk to him. Is he naive or he was just ignoring it. Skye sighed before she replied. "It's Levi." Jackson's immediately recognized the name just based on his expression but he didn't recognized Skye's lack of interest on talking to him." Ah yeah, yeah, Roland's brother." He added while nodding his side lightly. A smile slowly formed on his lips before he speaks again. "I'm glad he's tying the knot already." "So am I ." Skye muttered with a fake smile. Jackson grip the ball with both of his hands infront of his chest and stared at her for a while. This is really getting uncomfortable for her. Just standing there by the woods, and stared by the guy she just met. Who seems to have no intention of returning the ball to her. If Skye wanted to be rude, she will just grab the ball on his hands and walk away from him. But she chose not to. Jackson suddenly chuckled . "It's good for him he finally found his mate." He added with wide grin. "I've always wish that I will find mine too." He continued and Skye nearly rolled her eyes again for a second time from his words. 'Mate?' She thought. As much as how she wanted to mocked him from using that word she didn't say a word. She just kept silent, she didn't want to continue this conversation because she knew where this is heading at. "But I think that wish had granted now..." Jackson slowly took a one step forward while intensely staring at her two orbs. Skye immediately took a step backwards when he did it. She had confusion written all over her face. "because I feel like I had finally found her." He quietly said. And Skye rolled her eyes for real and chuckled from his punch line. Skye sighed as she took out her hands on her back pockets and comb her hair with her right hand. A teasing smile formed on her lips as she wanted to say 'That's a good one but still a cheesy one. I want to gagg,' but opted for , "I think I must go now. The kids were waiting for me and for that thing." She said pointing her finger on the ball on his hands. "Can I have it now?" Jackson glanced at the ball and suddenly smacked it on his hand which took Skye's attention for a moment. "Okay." He said with a smirked before he handed to her. Skye was about to grab the ball when Jackson quickly retreated the ball back to him. "Wait." He said, a cheeky smile on his lips. And Skye wanted to punch him in this moment. 'What does he wanted this time.' She thought. "I just remembered something." He said as he think through while moving the ball in a circular motion on his hands. "You know when Roland and I talk, I happen to passed by the table where Levi sat. And there's a brunette woman sitting beside him. Is that your sister?" Skye crossed her arms and look at him seriously. "Yeah. That's my sister. " The guy smiled again for like a thousand times. "No wonder. You're both gorgeous." He said. "But I like red heads more." He added, grinning. Skye tried to hide her annoyance in her poker face. 'But I like woman, dude.' She wanted to say to him. "I'm Jackson by the way. And your?" He asked her as he offered his one hand for her to shake. "I'm gay." Skye blurted out instead her name. Jackson's forehead scrunched for a moment and his eyes turns in slits as he absorbed the information. Skye thought he would back out when she confess her sexuality but the guy just smirked at her. Not retreating his hand. "Hello gay, I'm Jackson." He said with a wide grin and Skye took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment. She was about to say something rude to him when someone interrupted them. "Skye!" They both turn their heads on the voice. It was Piper. Standing warily at the distance. She took a quick glanced at Jackson's direction before she look at Skye. "Vanessa is looking for you." "Skye." She heard Jackson muttered beside him. "What a beautiful name. It suits you." He said the last part in a whisper. Leaning slightly towards her so only them can hear it. And she turn her head in a whiplash back to him with a slight glare. "Hey there Piper!" He said as he nod towards the direction of the silent brown haired girl. And the latter just gave him a quick nod. Jackson look back at Skye with a grin that never fades off. "As much as I don't want this to end but I know you don't want your friend to wait longer. So I must go." He said as he handed the ball to Skye. And the latter took it. "See you around, Skye." He said with a wink as he took a steps backwards before turning around and finally walk away. Skye just sighed and turned to face Piper who had an indifferent look to the retreating figure of the guy. Skye walks towards her. "Are you done dancing?" she asked her, passing through where she's standing at. "Nope. I just help Vanessa look for you. She's done talking to Dean. I swear you're hard to find sometimes." Piper replied in a huffed and followed Skye. They both walked side by side back to the party. Skye smirked. "Well it's not my fault I got lonely when you guys left me on the table." She waited for the girl's reply but was met by silence so she turned her head on her. Piper was looking back to where they came from as she walks. There's a small scrunched on her forehead. Skye halted and face her. "What's wrong?" She asked her. Piper stop in her tracks and stared at Skye, slightly caught off guard. The brown haired girl made sure that Jackson was far enough before she speaks. "What did you talk about? Did he do something?" Piper asked her with a seemingly worried face. Skye snorted at her. "Nothing." She replied. When Piper just looked at her seriously, her smile started to fade and she turns confuse. "Why?" She asked. Piper sighed and replied. "Nothing. Let's go." She said before she clutched her hand to Skye's right hand and drag her back to the party. Skye just shook her head at her.
