Skye hummed as she scrolled up on her i********: account. It was Thursday morning, two weeks before Maddison's wedding, and Skye had no particular agenda for this day as her friends were busy on their personal lives. She chose to stay on her room and check all her social media accounts as soon as she woke up in the morning. She was still lying on the bed. Rolling her body from left to right while holding her phone. She didn't even bothered to take a shower or eat breakfast with Maddison. Although her sister have called for breakfast for the ninth time, it still like fell on a deaf ears. Her thumb stop scrolling when she saw a photo of a familiar face. It was actually a group photo but there's only one face she was focusing on. It's her ex- girlfriend Chloe. She's on the far left, smiling to the camera while a guy that Skye didn't knew of hugging her waist and kissed her on her right cheek. Skye felt pain in her chest but she chose not to get affected by it completely. She was moving on, not fully healed but she believes that she's half way there. She question herself why did she ever kept their relationship last longer. She should end it right away as soon as her ex cheated on her on the second time. But she knew why she didn't. Chloe was maybe so hard to understand but she had loved Skye more than herself, at least that's what Skye felt on those three years. She met Chloe when she started working on a coffee shop, a first job she had when she stop studying from college. Chloe was a vocalist of the band that occasionally played at her work place. She was eighteen that time, two years younger than her ex. She was captivated by her voice when she first heard her sang. And when they started to talk, they instantly hook with each other. Since then, even after they were officially girlfriends, Chloe still always took care of her like how Maddison would. They stayed in one apartment and she would cooked her breakfast, lunch and even dinner. She also spoiled Skye on everything. She always give her gifts and brought her to every restaurant she wants to eat and every place she wanted to go. She was there when Skye had no one to talk everytime she got a fight with her father. Since she doesn't want to bother Maddison. And she took patient understanding Skye's behavior especially when she made immature decisions. While Skye on the other hand, always supporting her on her gigs and accompany her whenever and wherever she goes and wherever their band plays even outside the town. Their first year on their relationship was nearly perfect. Not until she saw Chloe kissed a girl on the back of the bar where their band played. Skye was so hurt that time. Her relationship with Chloe was the first ever real relationship she had, not just a fling or a one time thing. And that was the first time she had cheated on and it was so heartbreaking. She tried not to let her tears fall but she ended up cried all night to her room and didn't talk to her for two days. She tried to ignore Chloe's apologies, saying it was just a fling and they never had a thing. But when she saw Chloe knelt and cried in front of her when she got out on their room, she forgive her right away. Little did she knows that it will just be the first and there's many more. The second time Chloe cheated on her was with a guy. Her ex is bisexual, so she's not surprised if she ever had a liking to men. She felt heartbreak again and she was ready to end their relationship back then but when Chloe managed to explain her side, saying it's just a fling again, and kept saying sorry and did all she could do for Skye, the latter forgive her again. And that happen for a lot times after that. Skye admits she was so stupid to stay in their relationship. But she can't have the heart to break up with her. She loves her even she did things that breaks Skye's heart. Especially when she begged for her forgiveness. She turned blind eye to everything. Since Chloe was still ended up going home to her she doesn't mind. She holds on to love her ex was giving her besides of all of it. But that was all in the past. Skye finally ended up their relationship. She finally had the balls to do it even Chloe begged for her again. Partially thanks to her sister, who knocks some sense on her when she finally open up to her about her love life. She admits it was hard to move on everytime Chloe pester her since their break up. But she had to, that's why she agreed to stay to Southern Vale with Maddison for a month. She needed the break. She also blocked her number and to all her social media accounts so she can't have a contact to her. But for now it's like she needed to blocked or maybe just unfollow her ex-girlfriend friends as well. Skye clicked the account of Chloe's friend Jim, their drummer, and unfollow him before she slumped the phone on the empty space on her bed beside her. She close her eyes and covered half of her face of her right arm and took a deep breath. She shouldn't be like this. Her sister's wedding is near and she should be there with her and enjoys every moment with Maddison till her sister tied the knot. Maddison will be married and soon she will have her own family, and after that, she would get busy by then. Just like her father. So this is basically the last days that she can have her sister for herself. Skye uncovered her face and opened her eyes. She stared at the ceiling as she think about something she could do to bond with her sister. Their hobbies were not totally alike so it was likely hard for her to think through. Her line of thoughts was interrupted when her phone rang. She didn't check the caller ID and just grabbed her phone and answer it. "Hello?" "Hey Yo! How's the vacation?" Greeted by a deep voice but there's still a hint of feminine on it. It was Dominique. Her butch friend and co-worker from the bar. "A lot happened actually, but it's good." She replied as points her forefinger upward and started drawing circles on the air. "What's up? Why did you call?" Skye heard a sighed from the other line before her friend speaks. "I hate to tell the bad news, but uh, my mother bought a house for me a few block from them." The auburn haired girl put her arm down and snorted at her friend. "How did that become a bad news?" She said in a chuckle. "Look dude, uh.."Her friend started and Skye turned serious. She had the feeling that it would not be nice. "my mother's not feeling well lately these and since I want to be there when she feel sick, I decided to go back home...for good." Dom continued. That's when Skye immediately sat up."What about the apartment?" she asked warily. "That's the problem." Dom replied right away. "I'm leaving it." she added and sighed. Skye just face palmed. This day couldn't be worse.
