It's past nine in the evening when Vanessa and Piper left Maddison's house after dinner. The latter wanted to have an all girls sleep over but Dean came and picked them up. They have no choice since Dean wouldn't accept a No for an answer. Skye wouldn't be surprise, they always follow him.
Levi and Maddison were currently cuddling at the couch while watching a romantic comedy movie on the television. While Skye is sitting on the single cushioned chair on their right. Her feet that's covered by a blanket were resting on the chair as she dig into her tub of vanilla ice cream.
Maddison asked her again about the woman who saved her when they were having their dinner. She was so careful on her answers. Making sure that she will not spill Violet's name throughout their conversation. She was thankful to Piper who changed the topic and took the attention of her sister from her. She was finally able to breath. But what she have noticed throughout the dinner was Levi, who occasionally glancing at her direction. It's like he wanted to ask something but decided not to. Skye doesn't know what's the deal with him. If he ever knew Skye was lying, she just hope that he wouldn't force her to tell the truth.
"Wait, wait, wait." Maddison suddenly said halfway to the movie. She pulled herself away from Levi and grab the remote control on the center table. "Hold on a bit, I just need to empty my bladder." She added as she presses the pause button and put it back down the table before she stood up and hurriedly go to the bathroom. Skye just rolled her eyes at her sister.
The whole room was silent and the only sound there is was the sound of crickets outside. Skye was enjoying her ice cream but she gets uncomfortable in a sudden as she felt Levi's stare at her direction. She can sense it and she can see him in her peripheral vision even the only source of lights in the room is came from the television.
She tried to ignore it and just continue eating when Levi suddenly cleared his throat and broke the silence.
"I'm just curious." He said and Skye just hummed. "About the woman who saved you. Where does she live?" He added. His voice was calm and deep.
"In a small house just by the mountain." She simply replied. She doesn't mind lying to him cause aside from it was almost the truth, he's not Maddison.
Levi's forehead scrunched and he turned silent. Skye thought he wouldn't said something again but then he continued.
"Where is exactly and what does she look like? " He asked.
Skye just chuckled at him as she perked her eyebrow.
"I just might know her." Levi quickly replied with a chuckle as well.
Skye stop to think for awhile. And Violet's face was the first thing that came to her mind. Secondly, she remembered how the brunette hugged her at the abandoned shelter. It was so soft and warm, and so comfy than her own bed. An opposite things on her attitude and the way she talks towards her. A smile slowly formed on Skye's face.
"She's taller than me in height. She had a fair skin and a black hair. She's so kind and she's probably in her late forties." She said casually stating the facts and the opposites about Violet's features. Her smile doesn't even falter a bit.
"She sounds nice." Levi said, nodding his head slowly. "And pretty too. If you said she is young as you, I might think she's Violet." He added which made Skye nearly spit out the ice cream she just ate and cough. "Cause what I've known, she's the only one who had a house on the mountain. Except the fact that hers is big and beautiful cabin house."
"Or maybe you're right." Maddison suddenly butted in on their conversation when Skye was about to speak. She walk towards the couch without breaking an eye contact at her sister who turned silent.
Skye chuckled when Maddison finally sat beside Levi. She crossed her arms and look at her instead of grabbing the remote control and play the movie again. While Levi quietly took a sip on his beer.
"No, it's not her. Why would you think it's her? You said she's aloof right? And why would she be there at the lake? It's ridiculous." Skye said and started to eat her ice cream again. She's trying not to make her answers a bit suspicious to the couple. And she is starting to get annoyed too. She doesn't get why they were so eager to know who had helped her. It wasn't that of a big deal.
"She had save you once before." Maddison replied to her quickly it made Skye sighed a little frustratedly.
"It doesn't mean she had save me before she will save me again. Duh." Skye answered back. "And why are you guys so wanted to know if it was her?" she added before eating the last spoon of ice cream and put it down the center table. Her blanket fell on the floor as she do so. She grab it and she covered her feet and knees again.
Maddison glanced at Levi for a moment before she speaks. "I just wanted to thank her personally and maybe invite her for dinner." she added with a shrugged.
Skye snickered at what her sister said. "What? That's impossible. Violet wouldn't agree for a dinner, believe me." she said, laughing at thought of Violet agreeing to come to their house for a dinner. The woman didn't even eat breakfast with her how much more of a dinner with them. And besides, she's the most richest person in town she surely had the most delicious meals was there to offer.
"So it's really her then?" Maddison smirked. And Skye wanted to bump her head to the wall.
"But I didn't said it was her." She replied incredulously, trying to defend herself.
"You just said it."
"But-"
Skye's sentence was cut off when Maddison held her forefinger up.
"Don't say anything back Skye Everett Anderson, cause I know you will just lie again." Maddison added and there is nothing she could do but to keep quiet. She just hope that Violet wouldn't get angry at her.
