Violet released a relieved sigh when her mate finally walked away. It was a good thing she didn't used her Acura NSX cause she was certain that Skye was familiar of her car. She almost hit her head on the steering wheel when she unintentionally honk at her. She looks like a deer caught in headlights as the auburn haired girl glared at her direction even though Skye can't possibly see her through her heavily tinted window. Her eyes followed her mate's retreating body. Her mind focused on the thoughts of how she looks so hot the way she stood there a while ago on their car with both of her hands on each side of her hips as she glared at her. Violet almost lost herself and was ready to kiss her right there in an instant. She even imagined replacing those hands on the hips with her very own hands. She wonder how does it feel like to caress her delicate waist and pull her closer. Violet had so many things she wanted to do more than she could imagine. Her desires are getting stronger. But then those thoughts were interrupted when she heard another phone ring. Her ears perked up at the ring tone. It was Skye's. Violet looked at her mate as she annoyingly stared at the device on her hand. She stop on her tracks and stood just outside the entrance door of the store while contemplating whether to answer the call or not. And she chose the former. "What?" She answered right away. Raising her a voice a little as she turned her back away at the entrance door while holding Maddison's wallet on her other hand. Since there was no car that was parked between Violet's and the store's building, the brunette can clearly see her annoyed face from the distance. She knew she shouldn't interfere to their conversation but she can't stop herself. Not when she saw how upset her mate is. "Don't try to avoid me Skye, I know you need help." Frank replied sharply. The annoyance on his voice was slightly evident. And Violet curiously and quietly listened from afar. Skye laughed humorlessly at him. "Who said I needed help?" She said and sighed. "Even if I really need it, I won't ask you for it." "Stop acting like a child. You're an adult now." He instantly and firmly replied. For a moment there was a sound on the other line like a chair was being moved before her father speaks again. "Do you know why I agreed to let you leave the house when you wanted to? Because I expect you to be mature enough to think for yourself, especially in all the decisions you make. But I guess I made a mistake." The auburn haired girl immediately let out an unamused smirked at what her father said. "Why are you acting like I did something terrible?" She asked, incredulously. "I didn't kill anyone, Dad. I didn't steal. I didn't get my self to prison. I don't even do drugs if that's all what you're worrying about." She ranted and tried to calm her self down for a moment before she speaks again. "I just quit my job okay? And guess what, I can find one again if I wanted to so there's really nothing to worry about." The brunette nodded her head. As if agreeing to what Skye's said. And suddenly a thought came to her mind. If they ended up together, she don't mind if her mate had a job or not. She would treat her like a queen. "But what you should worry about is how you can find a new place to stay if you don't have a permanent job." Frank said after a moment and it silence Skye. "Don't try to lie to me about that Skye. I know everything." He quickly added. Skye bit her lip hard trying to contain her frustration that Violet thought it might bleed. "Wow, I'm not even surprised." Skye replied with lack of enthusiasm and a shrugged. "I know you don't want to go back to school so I won't force you on that. But you must accept my help." Her father said, Ignoring her sarcasm. "How many times do I have to tell you that I don't need your help?!" She almost shouted. "Can you stop being so stubborn and lower your pride just for once?" Frank raised his voice too. Probably fed up on her attitude. "You're not a kid anymore Skye. Act like a mature one." He added. "Why can't you just leave me huh?!" Skye frustratedly replied. Her face started to turned red on her anger. "For almost three years that I have lived on my own I was doing good even if you weren't there. Why are you suddenly so concerned?" She snorted angrily. "Cause I am your father and I care about you." He replied. His voice was still firm but Violet picked up the mere softness on it that Skye didn't. That's how her late father scolded her before. There's always softness despite of the anger. "That's not caring, Dad. It's controlling!" Skye said. She let out a frustrated sighed and closed her eyes for a moment before she speaks again "Have you ever thought that all you did was dictate my life rather than actually care about me? You don't have a time for me. You weren't there when I struggled emotionally. Sometimes you were physically with me but you still don't see me. You know how hard that is? No! Cause all you care was your job and your new life." Skye's voice was a little shaky as she said those words. Her eyes started to get teary but she tried hard not to let the tears fall. Her father went silent for a while that Skye thought he would ended the call but Violet can hear his breathing even from the distance. Frank took a deep breath. "Your not the only one who struggled, Skye. All of us." Her father calmly said. "Including Maddison. You may think she handled it well but she struggled too." "Maddison had nothing to do with this." Skye said. She's trying to calm herself down too. "This is between you and me so don't ever include her to your reasons." "Your mom will definitely not gonna like this. " He quickly added which escalated his daughter anger again. "Don't ever brought Mom into this." Skye replied sternly with so much anger in her. It's the first time Violet saw her like this. Angry yet so delicate. "It's the truth Skye. Your mom wanted what's the best for you. And I'm trying to fulfill it." Her father said softly despite of her anger towards him. "I don't need the best for me. A good life will be enough." She quickly and softly said. A tear fall on her eyes and she quickly wipe it away. Violet saw it and she can't deny that it hurts her seeing her like that. "But you're mom wants it for you and you knew that." Frank said and it silenced her. She didn't say anything and just took a deep shaky breath before she ended that call. Then put her phone back to her pocket Another tear fell down on her eye and she quickly wipe it again and calmed herself down before she go back inside. While the Brunette trying so hard not to wipe those tears with her own hands.
