Skye yawned for like a hundred times as she patiently waited on the couch. Her and Maddison were currently at Adelaine's bridal boutique at the Town center. It's her sister's wedding dress fitting today and she had promised to accompany her since Levi was busy too. She busied herself by looking at every dress that was displayed inside the shop. She like them actually. They were simple, not too much design yet it all look elegant. Perfect for a not so lavish wedding. She sighed when her stomach growled. It's already quarter to two in the afternoon and she hasn't had lunch yet. They were supposed to eat lunch together first before they will proceed for the gown fitting, but the designer, Adelaine, called to her sister, saying she had an important meeting to attend to by three. So they need to go straight to the boutique. Skye turned around immediately when she heard the curtains on the fitting area opened and her pretty older sister came out wearing a wedding gown. She turned silent. Maddison looks gorgeous on her gown that's not too overly designed, yet so beautiful. An off-white long sleeve lace mermaid dress. It really fits on her and made her body shape more prominent. For Skye, she looks perfect wearing her gown. It made her speechless. Maddison chuckled at her sister's reaction and the latter came back to her senses when she heard it . "What do you think?" Maddie asked. "It's perfect." Skye replied and gave her sister a genuine smile. "Really?" A wide smile appeared on Maddison's face as well as she look down on her dress. When Skye nodded at her, she turned to face Adelaine, the designer and the owner of the boutique. "Thank you very much for this. You amazed not only my husband and I, but also my little sister. You're really one of the most amazing designer." "Oh, I'm just doing what I do best. And you're welcome." The woman that looked around the age of late forties replied to her sister before she turned to looked at the auburn haired girl that was silently sitting in front of them. "Are you ready to try your dress, Skye?" She said with a smile on her face. "Dress? What dress?" Skye cluelessly frowned as she looked back and forth to Adelaine and her sister. She noticed the naughty smile that appeared on her sister's face, her eyes automatically turned into slits as she glared at Maddison. But the bride and soon to be wife faced Adelaine instead. "She didn't know." Maddison half whispered but Skye can still hear it. "Oh." Adelaine chuckled and shake her head a little . Mouthing a "sorry" back to her. Skye crossed her arms. "Maddie." she said, calling her sister's attention. "I know you don't want to wear dress but this will only happens once in my life Skye and it will be never happen again. So please do me a favor and wear the dress." Her sister said trying to persuade her. She huffed and sat up straight. "What? Oh, Maddie." she whined before she face palmed. "I don't wanna wear dress, it's so embarrassing." "What's to be ashamed of? I know you would be as beautiful as me if you wear a dress on my wedding." Maddison replied. "Absolutely." Adelaine agreed, nodding her head while her arms crossed. "See. I'm not the only who's agreeing." Maddison said, determined to get her sister to agree. "And besides, you had worn a dress before on your highschool prom, so this will not be the first time." "Ugh." Skye groaned. She was already hungry and still sleepy. Arguing with her sister was draining her energy. "Yeah I did, but that will be the last time I'll wear a dress. This time I will wear a suit. The one that we agreed on." she added and crossed her arms. "I think you'll still look good on suit, young lady. But dress is the best choice for the maid of honor to wear." Adelaine said, a small smile not leaving her face. The wrinkles on the side of her eyes slightly showing off as she do so. Skye uncrossed her arms and frowned. "But I'm not the maid of honor. It's Jess, her college friend." she said. Maddison chuckled. "No, she's not Skye. It's you." "Why me?" "Why can't you?" Maddison immediately asked her back. "Cause It's Jess. She's your Bestfriend." Skye replied, shrugging her shoulder a bit at the end of her sentence. The beautiful brunette sighed. "Yeah, she is my Bestfriend... but you're my sister. You're the first Bestfriend I had in this world and you're the closest person to me. I think that will be enough reasons for you to be my maid of honor." Skye turned silent. She still frowning but she is actually melting inside because of those words. Her sister really is the sweetest. How can she say no to that huh? "Is that all?" she uttered. Teasing her sister and the latter just rolled her eyes. "And I love you." Maddison answered with a tight smile. "If that weren't enough reason, I don't know what else could be." Adelaine gently said. Genuinely smiling throughout their conversation. She wish she had a sister so she can be as sweet as them. But God gave her two younger brothers that were stubborn. "So please, do me a favor and wear the dress? Just this once? Please?" Maddison pleaded, rubbing both of her palm with a cute face. And who would say no on that look? "Okay, okay. I'll wear a dress. " Skye said." But that doesn't mean that I like it, I'll just wear it cause I'm your maid of honor." she added, trying to hide the proud smile on her face but Maddison can see through her eyes that she love it. "But where's the dress by the way? May I see?" Skye continued and and stood up from the couch. "Ah, I'll get it. Just wait here." The older woman said before she walked away. Maddison said thanks to her before she could get away further. "I just wanted to tell you that I'm currently hoping right now that it will not be too daring and too girly ish." Skye suddenly muttered and it made Maddie laugh. "Calm down, Kayee. I already told Adelaine about that. You will definitely like it." She replied before she raised the tail of her gown up and walk slowly towards the small table on the left. Skye was just looking at her, cluelessly. Maddison took a big box on the table and turned around to face her again. "Open this." she ordered and Skye obeyed. She walked and took the kid of the box on her sister's hand. There neatly folded inside were light brown suit with black turtle neck Inside top. "What's this?" Skye asked. "A suit." Skye gave her a bored look right away as she said." I know." in a monotone and Maddison laugh at her again. "I mean what will I do to this?" she asked. "You'll wear it." Maddison's short reply, half shrugged. "I thought I'll wear a dress?" Skye's eyebrow perked up as she looked at her sister. "It's not for the wedding, it's for tomorrow night." Maddison replied with smile on her face. When her Skye's frowned deepened, she continued. "It's the town's Mayor birthday tomorrow and we've been invited." "What?" Skye chuckled at her. " I don't even know him. And he didn't know me as well. Why the hell I'm invited?" she asked. "Language." Maddison scolded her and she tap her lips twice with her hand in return. "Yes, you don't know each other. And actually, it's Harold's family that were originally nvited but they'll be out of town tomorrow so they gave the invitation to us. One for me, one for Levi, and one for you. No one's gonna accept the last one invitation among Levi's family so there's only three of us." she explained further. "Don't make me a third wheel , Maddie." Skye muttered with a slight grimaced. "No silly. I know you won't come with us on the first place. But I'm sure you will if you know who's one of his guest." Maddison said, smiling widely. "Who?" Skye curiously asked. "You're favorite motorcycle road racer, Shawn Miller."
