"Oh my gosh." Maddison muttered when she lifted her head from her laptop and saw a figure standing at the doorway of her room. It was Skye in her dark blue pajamas which had a little pandas designed all over it.
"You scared me." She said while her right hand was on her chest. She eventually checked the time on her silver wrist watch. It was already quarter to two in the morning and she is still not done on her work reports yet.
"It's late. Why are you still awake ?" She added, asking her little sister as she pushed back up her eyeglasses.
"At what time are you leaving tomorrow?" Skye asked her a question instead, rather than answering hers.
Maddison's forehead creased but she answered her anyway. "Around seven, why ?" She said.
Skye sighed and crossed her arms before she leaned on the doorframe. "Can you make some chocolate muffins before you go?" she gently asked.
"Sure. No problem." Maddison replied and smiled at her. Chocolate muffins were one of her little sister's favorite food, her mother's own recipe of muffins to be exact.
Because Skye is such a picky eater when she was a kid, Their Mother always tried to cooked some food according to her liking. If Skye doesn't like it, their Mother change a little bit on how she cooked it, it's either the ingredients or the procedure of how to cook it. Skye was so precise on the food that she eat. She will not eat it if it's taste was too sweet, too sour or too bitter for her. Or if the texture and it's smell was too bad for her too. And aside from that, she doesn't even like spicy food either.
Maddison still remember how she silently cried as she stared at the chocolate muffins that their Mother brought from the bakery near their house. It was delicious for her, but Skye doesn't like the texture of it.
So their Mother tried to baked some for her, and surprisingly, her little sister loved it so much that she ate almost one and a half dozen of it.
That's what their Mother like about Skye even she had that eating habit. If she liked the food, she would eat large amount of it that's why she never get thin and malnourished since she ate vegetables too.
Maddison was so glad that eating habit of hers was eventually lessen throughout the years. But Skye still doesn't want to eat muffins from bakeries. Actually, it's not even a problem now even their Mother was gone because she already taught Maddison how to cook it.
"How many do you want?" she asked Skye before she took a sip on her cup of coffee from her nightstand.
"Uh." Skye said as she think about it through. " Can you make three dozens?" she asked pursing her mouth in a cute way.
The older woman raised her eyebrow at the younger one but she didn't say anything and she just nodded a yes to her.
"Thanks." Skye quickly said and walk towards room. "Good night!" she shouted from the hallway, enough for Maddison to hear it. And the latter just smile at her.

Skye drive as carefully as she could on the road. The same road she took yesterday. Together with her was a box of perfectly baked delicious chocolate muffins that she requested from her sister.
She ate a dozen of it just this morning and she put the other two dozen in box which is now the reason why she's trying to be careful. She doesn't want it to get smashed or deformed when she give it to the person who invaded her thoughts all night. Violet.
She was relieved when she said her gratitude to her yesterday. Even though the woman was obviously not interested on talking with her. But then she was still bothered because the brunette never really accepted her apologies. Or maybe that's just what she thought. But to make it sure, she planned to gave her something as a peace offering. And she chose the chocolate muffins that's her Mother's own recipe. She was just hoping that Violet would like it. if she will accept it from the first place though.
Skye carefully turned to the left side of the road. It was eight in the morning, and she was hoping that she will see her again when she arrives to her workplace.
When Skye arrived at the winery, she parked her bike again in front of the waiting shed. And when she turned around, she immediately saw Violet's car at the same parking spot yesterday.
She arrived already but Skye doesn't mind it. She can wait till Violet will go out for a lunch.
A smile formed on her face when she sat down on the shed with the box of muffins in her hands. She doesn't know why but she felt happy today. Maybe because she get the same feeling everytime she waited for her ex-girlfriend's classes to end way back in college . Back then, when her classes finished early before her ex-girlfriend, she always bought some desserts for her. She would wait outside till the girl she love comes out from the room.
Skye's cheeks turned pink when she thought about it. She didn't know why it came to her mind. The woman is not her girlfriend, heck, she's not even a friend. She was still a stranger to her. Skye silently scolding herself now for not having to formally introduced herself yesterday where she had a chance to. She reminds herself that she will when she see her again later.

"Why is that?" Abby curiously asked from the other line. Violet was a hundred percent sure that her Bestfriend's eyebrow is raising at her now.
"No more questions Abby, just do it." she firmly said as she stood from her office, looking at something or rather someone outside the window.
It's about one in the afternoon but her mate was still waiting outside her office. She already saw her earlier, patiently sitting at the waiting shed. She's sure that she's here to see her again. Cause who will it be other than her?
Violet doesn't care if what is her agenda. She will not talk to her or be near with her again. She had a hard time containing herself yesterday when they met. She think she can't bear it now if she will face her again.
So she didn't get outside when it's time for lunch even she's starving, because of her mate was still waiting for her. And obviously, the girl doesn't have a plan to leave so she called Abby and asked her to fetch her instead, from the back of her office building so she her mate wouldn't see her.
"And please bring me some lunch. Bye." she said before she hung up the phone.
Violet continued to stare at her mate outside. She noticed that she was holding a box. She tried to picked up the scent from the distance and she's sure it was something sweet even she can just smell it faintly.
The brunette's eyebrow raised, but surprisingly, a smile formed on her lips after. Thinking that perhaps it was for her. And she bit he lips to contain that smile.

Skye took her phone from her pocket when it rang. And she accepted the call when she saw that it was Piper calling her.
"Hello?" she muttered.
"Hey, Skye. Where are you now? We've been waiting for you here at the theater. The movie is about to start." Piper said to her from the other line.
'Oh shoot.' Skye mentally said.
It was two days ago when the group planned to go watch a movie premiere this afternoon. She was so invested on meeting Violet again that she forgot about it. She actually still had a time to go now before the movie start but it came to her mind that if she will go, waiting here would just be a waste of time. And besides, she can still watch the movie on the other day.
"I'm sorry, Piper. I can't go." she replied, she needs to think for a reason because she knew Piper will definitely ask.
"Why?"
"I'm just busy with something." she replied as she looked at the office building.
"Is that so?" Piper said and Skye nodded at her even the girl can't see it. "Okay then. Just take a quick time to rest, you seem tired." Piper added and S
it put a smile to Skye's face. She really love how Piper care about her. The brown haired girl always treat her like a sister.
"I will, Maddison version two point zero." she jokingly said and the girl on the other line just laughed at her antics. "I'll hang up the phone now. Go and watch the movie now. Enjoy yourselves. Bye." Skye added and hung up the her phone after Piper said her goodbyes.
Skye sighed as she put back her nearly drained of battery phone on her pocket again. Piper was right, she was tired. It's been six hours but the haven't seen the person she's been waiting for since earlier. She was starving too but she didn't dared to touch and eat the muffins she brought.
She may look i***t waiting there outside but she doesn't care. And she still have time to wait for the brunette before it gets dark. She said to herself that she'll wait and if it's getting dark, then it's time for her to go.
But for now, she still needs to wait.
