Chapter 28 (5): We belong together

"W-wait....Wait ." Skye panted she she bent over. Both of her hands rested on her knees as she catches her breath. She tried to even her breathing before she stood up and looked at Violet's direction, a little embarrassed. And the latter just quietly turned around. Her face was void of any emotions but Skye cowers in her place just by her intense stares.

"C-can we stop for a while?" She cautiously said. "I needed a break. It's like my legs were burning." She added as she patiently waits for Violet's answer.

"Okay." The brunette's replied before she walked towards a big tree and lean on it.

Skye let out a satisfied sigh before she find some spot to sit on. A big rock on her right caught her interest and she sat on it, facing Violet's direction. The sun hides on a cloudy sky yet she felt hot and her sweats were dripping down from her forehead to her neck. She's fanning herself using her hands and by pulling her white shirt.

She subtly look at Violet's direction and she was still leaning on a tree. Her eyes were close while her arms crossed. Her face is so calm and she surprisingly still had a fresh look despite of walking down from the cabin for almost an hour now. Her three fourth gray button up long sleeve only had a small traces of sweets on it. And her hair is still smooth and nice unlike Skye's disheveled one.

Violet looks divine as she lean over the tree. She looks like a sleeping goddess of the forest, but in a casual clothes. She silently admired her beauty. Vividly staring her features from her closed eyes, her perfectly shaped nose to her luscious lips down to her voluptuous body. She's almost perfect.

When Skye raised her stares she immediately greeted by a cold yet amused eyes staring at her. Her breath hitched and she immediately avoided her stares and looks elsewhere and cleared her throat.

The brunette didn't say anything but Skye can still felt her stares. She just act innocently while she wander her eyes around. By doing it, she instantly get curious on to where exactly they were and if their already near on their destination. The path they were taking is a little shady and narrow as the plants grew anywhere. They were like some hikers who's done hiking and decided to go back down to the town. Their path was already hard for a person to walk, how much more of a person who's carrying a drunk person with her. She already asked about it but Violet just gave her a cold reply. Skye had no wonder about it. The brunette only gave either a short reply or a cold one. But even though she looks like and talk like she didn't like Skye, she still nice though. And a blush immediately crept on her face when she remembered their earlier conversation.

(At the cabin)

When Violet went to the kitchen, she caught Skye bowed her head on the table. She carefully walk towards her and put the clothes she was carrying down the table in front of Skye's half eaten food.

But the girl seems like felt her presence and she raised her head. She saw some folded clothes was already on the table. And when she look up, she saw Violet so she straighten up.

"You can wear those." Violet said pointing the clothes before she fished out something on the front pocket of her jeans and put it down the table. It's an Advil. "Here. Drink this when you're done eating. I'll just wait for you on the foyer." She added before she turned around. She was about to walk when Skye speaks.

"Wait." She said. The brunette turned around and wait for her reply. Skye blush a little, still not use on her stares but she still tried to look at her sincerely. She cleared her throat before she talks again. "Thank you by the way." She said sincerely. "For saving me. Again."

Violet just nodded at what she said. She don't have a time to say something when Skye speaks again.

"But can I ask a question?" She carefully ask and the latter nooded at her again. "I'm just wandering how did you carry me all the way up here by yourself. All night?" She added.

Skye thought she would answer her question. She did say something but what she said isn't an answer at all.

"Don't think about it. It'll make your headache worst. " What she said before she walks away. "Hurry up so we can go. I'll wait for you outside." She added before she's completely done.

Skye just shook her head lightly and sigh. She took the Advil and look at the folded clothes. And that's when she realized that the current clothes she wears are not hers. And her body felt heat when she thought of Violet changing her clothes since she doesn't remember doing it on her own. And Skye just closed her eyes and let a breath out to calm her nerves down.

'This will be a long day.' she said in her mind.
