Colorful lights, children's and adult's screams and laughs, the loud noises from every rides plus the smelly sweats of people who passes by irritates Violet so much she wanted to punch someone. She feels like her head starting to ache but she's doing her best to ignore it since she wanted to go here.
She watched her bestfriend together with her daughter who was playing on the shooting game booth. Abby assisting Sophia how to correctly aim the toy gun and shot the small toy ducks placed a meter away in front of them. Violet lost count of how many ducks she has shot but the booth attendant gave her a small stuffed animal. The mother and daughter then left the booth and walked towards her, both had a wide smiles on their faces.
"Wow, I really enjoyed it." Abby chuckled, holding her daughter's hand. "Why don't you try it Vee? It's fun." She added. Trying to convince Violet who was standing there, crossed arms and in a sour mood.
"Don't force me to do nonsense things." She replied, coldly.
Violet uncrossed her arms and walked away, particularly nowhere. She just wanted to calm herself down before she might totally punch someone for real.
"You're so boring." Abby muttered before they followed her. She is already used to Violet's attitude as well as her daughter. But sometimes, she was also get annoyed trying to understand her bestfriend.
"You should seriously try to have fun before your lover arrives. Cause I'm worried you might not hold your temper and you will start to regret this." Abbigail added.
Violet can feel the heat in her cheeks when her Bestfriend mentioned the word 'lover'. She just lucky it was already nighttime, her blushing face is not that obvious.
"I'm okay." Was her short reply. She put both of her hands on the side pockets of her pants as she walks. Her outfit for tonight, or her disguise to be exact, was out of her character. Black baggy shirt paired with black cargo pants and black and white rubber shoes and a black cap. Abby chose those clothes for her and congratulations to her bestfriend she did a great job, she can't even recognize herself. Surely, Skye can't too.
Violet actually laugh at her silly idea at first but then she eventually agreed because this is the only way to protect and guard her mate without noticing her. It wasn't really necessary since Skye is already an adult and she had her friends too but Violet's protective side can't just sit back and relax on her house while her mate is roaming around on the festival, which almost half of the town's population were here. And to think of it, she knew that Skye is always on something. That girl is not looking for trouble, trouble is looking for her.
"You're obviously not okay. That's the grumpiest face I have ever seen." Abbigail said, cutting off her line of thoughts. She just rolled her eyes and stop to turned around. She was about to say something when Sophia suddenly gets her mother's attention.
"Mommy, what is s*x?" The little girl asked her mother. Abbigail immediately stop on their tracks when she heard that word from her daughter. She quickly crouch down and leveled to her height and holding on to both of her child's arms..
"Where did you hear that from?" Abby said to her. Her face of astonishment made Violet chuckle.
Sophia silently pointed a finger towards a group of teenager boys who were bragging about something. They were standing and talking a few meters away from them but the child still caught a word from their conversation since she had heightened senses.
"Honey , you shouldn't listen to other people's conversation, that's not good." Abigail softly scolded her daughter and the little girl nodded her head.
"I think it's time for you to go home, or she might hear more than that." Violet smirked, Abby glared at her direction. It's a good thing that her Bestfriend smile for awhile but the reason behind that wasn't. Her daughter saying and asking about s*x on her very young age wasn't totally fun.
"Why are you smiling aunt Vee? Do you like s*x?" Sophia suddenly asked her with an innocent look in her face. Violet almost choked on her own saliva. She went silent to the child's sentence.
Abbigail's stiffled laugh broke her silence. The red head loves seeing their Alpha's flustered face. It really amuses her.
"Okay, I think we really need to go home now." Abbigail said trying to hold her laugh when Violet glared at her. She stood up and hold her daughter's hand again. She then took a deep breath and tried to be serious before facing Violet. "Will you be okay? We should go now." She said and the latter nodded.
"Drive safe." her short reply.
"Say goodbye to Aunt Vee, Honey." Abby said to the little girl.
Sophia said her goodbyes with a cute little wave. Violet just nooded at her and gave her a small smile before the two walked away.
When they were gone and out of her sight, Violet continued her walk. She can hear her bestfriend's voice teaching Sophia some good manners all the way from the parking lot. She smirked, remembering what the cute little girl said a while ago.
Just when Violet heard Abby's car left the area, a certain and familiar scent invaded her nostrils. 'She's here.' her inner wolf said to herself.
-------------------------------------------------------
"Are you okay, Skye? Is there a problem?" Skye instantly turned her attention back to the girl beside her when she called her name.
Vanessa was giving her a concerned look. It's been almost half an hour when they arrived at the fest but they haven't done anything yet. They were just walking around trying to find something to do. Trying to entertain theirselves before Piper decides for which ride they'll go first. And the gang will part ways after that.
Skye is amazed that the area was full of people. They chose the perfect spot to hold the festival. It's beside the main road on the woods, a eight minute drive from the town's center. And a twenty minute drive form their house.
Tomorrow is weekend so she won't be surprised if there were still lots of childrens here even it is almost eight in the evening. Their usual time to sleep.
There were also lots of booths and different noises can be heard everywhere. Because there were many people, it's been two times that Skye got bump into someone. But those we'rent the things that is bothering her.
Since they arrived, she had a weird feeling that someone is following her. She can't really tell but she feels like somebody's looking at her and watching her every move. She's been looking back several times from where they came from because of it. And Vanessa noticed it so she dared to asked.
"It's nothing." Skye replied, shortly. She was about to take a step forward when Vanessa stop her by gently grabbing her arm.
"Come on. It's clearly something." She said, looking seriously concerned at the auburn haired girl. "What is it?" She added, her tone seems to be authorative.
Skye took a deep breath before she speaks. "I don't know, I just felt like someone is following us. Or maybe I'm just delusional." her shoulder shrugged.
Vanessa frowned at her. She looked back and tried to find something suspicious on their surroundings, she even focus her senses of smell and hearing trying to catch something but there was none.
"Hey guys. I got beers for ya."
Their moment was interrupt when Seamus came towards them, holding some bottles of beers on his two hands. The two guys on the front stop walking when Seamus gave each one of them.
"Ladies first." He said as he gave one bottle to Vanessa, then he gave the other two to Dean and Eric. There's none for Skye since she'll go on rides, she might puke if she drinks. That's what she had reason out to Seamus earlier.
"Are you trippin dude? Mines's not open." Eric complained, before he gave the beer back to Seamus and the latter took it.
"Opps, sorry. I'll go open it."
"Hey, wait." Skye stopped Seamus before he could get away. She took something on the right pocket of her black denim jacket and handed it to him. "You can use this." She said.
"Nice." Seamus took the set of keys from her. The key chain to where the keys attached was a bottle opener keychain. He used it to open the bottle. "Here you go."
When he was done , he handed the now open bottle to Eric before he gave back the keys to Skye. Uttering a "thanks" to her.
"Skye!"
A young woman came running towards them with a wide smile on her face. "I have our tickets now, are you ready?" Piper asked her, showing the bunch of tickets on her hand.
"Wow, that's a lot." Skye chuckled.
"Goodluck with her." Seamus commented with a smirked before he took a sip on his beer.
"Shut up you dumbass." Piper smack his head and he slipped some of his beer. The young man didn't have a chance to complain and defend himself when Piper grab Skye's hand.
"Come on, Skye. Bye guys, see ya later!" She added before pulling her away from them without even saying a word.
Except for the three boys and Vanessa, another two pairs of eyes were intently watching the auburn haired girl as she walked away with her friend. Including the blueish grey eyed beauty who was hiding behind a food stall.
