Edith: I can't believe what I'm looking at. Anger is boiling my blood. Isaac talking freely and laughing with another guy. He seems so... my god this motherfucker is alive. Better than alive. The man he's talking to is very familiar and I have to admit he's attractive. Where do I know him from? "He's coming today. Later on actually. I think you two will get along. He's cool," the guy was saying. I kept my eyes on my plate of food. What a f*****g coincidence for me to run into him. Had mother sent me here for that reason did she really think I was in love with him? He was hardly someone I would be interested in for more than what we had used each other for. Don't get me wrong Isaac is very handsome and extremely prominent but that was it. It was about the s*x and the release my wolf needed when we couldn't go out to fight. I left a few bills on the table not caring about the change and got on my bike as I turned the key to wake up the motor I got a few glances. I was able to put on my helmet before Isaac turned back to look at me. I'm sure he would have caught my scent if he really wanted to. I drove off somewhere he couldn't spot me so that I could follow the two of them. Once they were inside a yellow Hummer I followed a few cars behind them. They turned into an alleyway that leads down a dirt path. That has to be the way into a pack territory. What the hell is Isaac doing inside a pack? I went back to my apartment and put on a loose shirt and put a change of clothes into a small pack. I hadn't wanted to trespass but I'm curious to know why Isaac is hanging out with an Alpha and why he had mother tell me he was dead. I don't really care. It just gives me something to do. I'm beyond bored and alone here. My weapons are clean, my house is in order. I can't sit still long enough to read a book that isn't an instruction guide to building bombs and guns or combining elements to kill supernatural creatures. I don't understand the concept of watching television and socializing isn't one of my greatest strengths. The dose of enhancement I'm taking seems to keep me at bay. Which brings on so many questions. I've never had to be alone before. Let me tell you that wanting to be alone when you're around people isn't what you really want. Because once you get what you want the silence weighs on you and it gives you alone time with the deepest darkest thoughts of your self and it doesn't always end well. I shifted once the trees surrounded me and I knew no one was watching. The wolf was content with me letting her out. I have to really reel her in. She's easily distracted with small animals or any slight movement really. As soon as I crossed the territory boundaries I felt when the other wolves noticed my presence. In seconds, I was surrounded by Omegas. I could easily kill them all but that's not what I want to do right now. The biggest wolf motioned me to shift and change behind a tree. I cooperated and changed into my clothes. I put on my dog tags and aviators. A few of them had shifted into their skin and barely covered up with basketball shorts. "You're trespassing," he's the higher rank wolf who had motioned me to change. "I'm looking for someone," I raised my hands showing him I meant them no harm. "No other rogues here," I growled at him. "I'm not a rogue," maybe I am now. "Who are you looking for?" "Isaac Goldman," "Our beta?" well, this is getting more and more interesting. "Let's take her in. The alpha wants to see her," One of the guys stepped forward and placed his hand on my shoulder. I growled at him not liking the feel of someone's touch on me. He pulled away putting his hands up in surrender. "The beta said not to touch her. She bites," the guy who had spoken first said I glared at him. "His words not mine," The beta huh? It didn't take long for them to lead me to the packhouse. I have to admit it's quite the sight. Not exactly Shane Blake's packhouse impressive but it is beautiful. Isaac and who I'm guessing is now his new alpha walked out. I stayed at the bottom of the porch steps waiting for him to say something. "I didn't expect you to find me this fast," he laughed. "I wasn't looking. I thought you were dead. Mother sent me this way. I just happened to see you," "Was it true? Were you compromised?" I laughed. "Don't flatter yourself you're not that good," he laughed and so did his Alpha. "So, why are you here?" "Same reason I always look for you. Entertainment," his Alpha raised his eyebrows. "I would love to be your entertainment any day sweetheart," the alpha smirked. Isaac let out a low growl. "Seriously E what do you want?" that was a good question. "Why did you have her lie?" "I'm not going back," I nodded. I don't blame him. Especially with his new set up and the fact that he had been compromised. I wouldn't want to stick around the girl I want who doesn't want me back the same way. "So, this is it then?" he nodded. As I turned around to walk away two blSuburbansbans pulled up. A tall well built man stepped out of the passenger seat right in front of me. He stopped and even with his dark Ray bans on I could feel his gaze on me. Flayme began to stir. My jaw tightened as his scent hit me. The scent of pine on a rainy day and something dark. Something delicious and it made my mouth water. The numbness of my body briefly reacted making me shiver. What the hell is this? "Mine," he growled at me and I backed away. He stepped forward and I let out a warning growl to keep him from touching me. "Dom, what's up?" the alpha behind me greeted the guy in front of me. He has to be an alpha he was stronger than the one behind me which means he's a thoroughbred. Born from a born Luna and a born Alpha. "Hi," he said. I growled again. "E let him pass," Isaac said. The wolf in front of me growled at him and I couldn't help but growl at him again. Isaac may not be my beta anymore but he was still something close to a friend. I felt Isaac get close to me. Probably realizing I wasn't the problem. "Friend of yours?" I asked the alpha behind me. "Very good friend. What is it, Dom?" "Mine. My mate," he growled not taking his eyes off of Isaac. "Oh s**t," the other alpha said. "What is he talking about?" I asked. When the alpha named Dom looked down at me he removed his shades revealing his two teal blue orbs. Wow, his eyes were beautiful. "What do you mean what am I talking about? You're my mate," I laughed. "Am I supposed to know what that means?" I looked at Isaac and he just shrugged equally as clueless as I am. "Elaborate," Isaac told his alpha. He laughed. "You were serious when you said you were military raised," I glared at Isaac. "You told him," I growled. "Do you realize you've put all these dogs in danger?" "They won't come here. I'm retired. Once you leave no one will care about me," "You're not going anywhere. Do you know how long I've waited for you?" Alpha Dom asked. I growled at him as started to get closer to me. A big part of me didn't mind but whatever he thinks is happening, he's wrong. "Soul mate all wolves are born with one. You're Dominic's mate and he's yours," I looked at Isaac and we both burst into laughter. "Good one," I said sarcastically. They both growled at us. Two others came and joined us. A male and a female. Isaacs grip on my shoulder tightened. I growled at his hand but he didn't seem to hear me so I gripped his wrist and squeezed probably popping some bones out of place he still didn't notice and his claws started to rip through my t-shirt. "You're hurting her," Alpha Dominic growled. Before he could try to get Isaac to let go, I bent his wrist back and growled at him. Isaac howled out in pain. The female behind Dominic launched herself towards me. My fist slammed into the side of her face before she reached me. I stepped back as she fell unconscious on the floor.
