Alpha Zack’s POV
I place the pen down and stretch my neck from side to side. My body is still tense all over and the fact that I got zero sleep last night is doing little to help matters. This morning Lexi will leave to go back to Crescent Moon and I have been in a constant battle all night with my wolf, who is determined to stop her. I know very well that she doesn’t want to stay with me. She made that f*****g crystal clear last night. If I try to keep her here it would result in all out war with one of our closest allies. I cannot drag my pack into war as my first act as their Alpha. My wolf Mace of course, disagrees entirely. There is nothing that he wouldn’t do to keep our mate by our side.
A knock at the door brings me back to reality and I call out for whoever it is to come in.
