His Human Luna

Chapter.4

JADE’S POV.

I hate being the Alpha of this pack, I hate being the youngest Alpha the pack has ever had, and I hate that my parents were killed in an attack by those allied forces' low-life rogues. Today is one of those days I hate my life more. I lost my parents a few days before my 18th birthday, I had to assume the responsibilities of being an Alpha immediately after I turned 18.

Since then I have been the father and mother of the Greywood pack. Father and mother because I have no Luna, can you believe an Alpha like myself and at my age has never been mated to anyone? Sometimes I wonder if the Moon goddess even gave me a mate.

I was jolted out of my thoughts by Andre my beta and best friend.

“Wallowing again?” he asked giving me the “I know you” look.

“What would you have me do? My life right now is messed up” I responded.

“There was a meeting last night with the pack elders, guess the first and only agenda”

“Your mateless and Lunaless status?” He guessed.

“Exactly, they are worried about it and their worries and concerns are valid.”

“ I need to mark and mate someone to get stronger “They don't care if the person is my fated mate or not.” I finished.

Andre looked at me with concern, he knew my only kryptonite was the Pack, I didn't care about anything or anyone including myself, I buried my emotions with my Parents all those years ago right now I just wanted to live and get by. The pack is the only thing that keeps me going.

“Alpha” Andre started

“I know you care about the pack and want to protect everything in it but the issue about your mate is not something to be taken lightly, you need to think about it with a clear mind. If you choose and mark just anyone, what happens when your fated mate appears? Will you reject them? Besides, not every woman in Greywood pack can be a Luna, especially your Luna. I…”

“I can be a Luna and your Luna Alpha” a female voice interrupted Andre stopping his speech. I was grateful for the interruption, Andre knows how to give a lecture when he is in the mood.

“Sonia what are you doing here” Andre asked his sister looking irritated. These two are fraternal twins, in all my years I have not come across twins that hate each other like Andre and Sonia. Maybe hate is a strong word, however it would suffice.

“Jade I'm serious tho, I meant every word I said. We have known each other all our lives, we are comfortable with each other, you don't have to love me like a woman of course. I am strong enough to be a Luna and you know it, no woman in Greywood is stronger than I am. Plus don't you think it's better to be with your friend who would be understanding than a total stranger?” Sonia tried to convince me, ignoring her brother completely.

I really hate her guts, I see why Andre is wary of her. She is a go-getter, a pretty hot one at that, long silky black hair, extra flesh in the right places, her skin is as smooth as a baby's butt and fair also, you would think she bathes in milk. Her eyes shaped like almond with a brown color to compliment her gorgeous body. She's the type of woman anyone can hardly resist.

“Alpha I hope you are not considering what that crazy wench said?” Andre asked as we got on our bikes, I needed to go for a wild ride and a run after that, I needed all the adrenaline rush to calm my nerves. We left Sonia at the pack house, I could not continue on the Luna topic so I just told her I'd think about it.

“No I am not, I practically grew up with Sonia and you, I can't see her in that light” I lied through my teeth. In my defense I never considered her a woman until today, safe to say I noticed her curves and banging body today. Mind you I'm not lusting after her, I just need to mark anyone and give the Pack a Luna thereby increasing my Powers, Sonia is the best candidate if you ask me. Great benefits of being a go-getter I must say, I may not have thought in her direction If she didn't speak up, I thought to myself. I didn't know a smile escaped my lips.

“Did you just smile” Andre pulled me out of my “evil” thoughts. I simply shrugged and got on my bike. I zoomed off before he could say another word. The rides through the woods were always rewarding, the scent of the green leaves, damp floors, and rotten trees. Simply the smell of life and death and freedom. Freedom because I escape from my reality in these woods, from the stress of being Alpha and a lonely man. When I got bored of my bike's speed, I signaled to Andre through the mind link that it was time for that run. He just chuckled.

We found a place to park our bikes under some trees. I took off my clothes, I was butt naked at this point. I loved running naked first before shifting to my wolf. Suffice it to say I love the air on my bare body and butt, I am a stickler for freedom. We ran for miles, so far I am still the fastest werewolf in Greywood, I pride myself in being swift. As I approached the borders, I shifted into my wolf to get a better whiff of the scent of nature. I heard everything, every c***k, every chirp, every sound. We made it to the border and back to where we parked our bikes, it was already getting dark when we got there.

“Alpha” Andre started. He knows I hate it when he calls me Alpha instead of Jade especially when it's just us.

“I should just change my first name to ‘Alpha’, what do you think?” I asked him. He ignored my jest and continued.

“Don't forget that you are resuming at Greywood University soon, you need to start getting prepared, I have prepared all you need, the car will be arriving in a few days.

I have instructed the pack house staff to get everything you need ready, you also need to prepare yourself, the school is not as it was 2 years ago.” Andre finished his motherly instructions.

“What do you mean by the school is not as it was?” I asked him now interested. I left school 2 years ago to go for my Alpha training. It's not that I needed the university education but I love finishing whatever I start.

“Well a lot can and has changed in 2 years, the most significant of them is that the school now admits humans too” Andre informed me.

“OH that, it's only natural they admit humans especially after we agreed to let humans live and do business in Greywood to increase our town's revenue. It would be suspicious if the University is selective” I replied to Andre.

“You won't be getting any elaborate special treatment like you did before when it was just werewolves,” Andre said now with a worried expression.

“Don't worry it's fine, I don't mind at all, I just need some fun to my boring life. I'm tired of just Alpha duties and running through the wild.” I said to Andre to calm him down, he has mother-hen behavior whenever it comes to me.

It was pretty dark by the time we arrived at the pack house, Andre and I bade our goodnights. He was leaving when I remembered something I had forgotten earlier.

“Andre, about the car, I won't be needing it, I'd rather use my bike. I can take my dad's old car for official Alpha duties outside the pack.”

“Sorry sweet Alpha Jade, the Alpha of Greywood pack, the strongest and richest pack in the south will not be caught riding a bike to school. Thank you and sleep tight” Andre said dismissing any further talk on the matter.

I hate when he gets like this. I said hi to Grace, my nanny, and went straight to my room. I ran the shower and just sat there and let the hot water pour on me. 30 minutes later, I was out and ready to sleep. Exhaustion made me so sleepy. As I came into my room from the bathroom, I was shocked and at the same time confused, what was going on? I asked in my head. Someone was on my bed.
