CHAPTER XV : THE MATCH

-Nazif-

    That was a lot of things to digest ahahahaha but amazing. I can vividly see in my mind how Kurezma is doing her power a while ago... that was marvelous. Isn't it cool controlling various elements ahahahaha I wish I could do that too, but I don't mind. 

     Anyway, we are now heading to the field to train again, but now with our weapons. I got excited by that, I brought my ax with me, now I've got to use it again.

"Hey" Aisha uttered, we didn't stop from walking, we just looked at her waiting for her to talk. "Uhmmm... everything I heard was true... right?" she shyly asked

"Of course, we're not just pulling out some pranks on you involving our very own principal, do you think?" Kuzma answered, well, he has a point though ahahahaha our principal has no time for that

"Yea ahahahaha" Kurezma agreed between her laughs

"Nothing, I'm just excited. It made me want to work harder" Aisha commented. The feeling is mutual, I don't want to fail someone so I wanted to reach my full potential too

"So as I" I attended, we silenced after that and continued walking until we reached the field. Our things just peacefully sat at a table under a tree. Now I can see my ax creeping from a cloth cover waiting for me to touch it. Let's get this over with! ahahahaha

"So let's start" Kuzma initiated, we are now lined together on the field ready to unleash our power. The breeze feels lighter and more comfortable, it's giving me the urge to train hard for today. "Hey, nice ax" Kuzma complimented my little buddy

"Yea thanks, glad you liked it" I shyly uttered, I looked at my ax and held it tight, now I'm getting more excited

"Unfortunately, I don't know how to use that," he said then let out a small laugh, probably that came out from his nose ahahahaha just kidding

"That's ok, I've learned using it about a year ago, I just have to master it now" I assured him. Well, as we all know, we are already taught how to use weapons that we chose last school year. 

    We were already taught everything we need to learn these past years so all we do in the last year of school is to master everything. Kuzma and Ashtan are exceptional though, they master everything the moment they are taught.

"That's nice," he said "That's a relief for me and a great help so that I can focus with my sister" he added, that sounds like a plan ahahahaha 

"Both of you, Aisha and Nazif, train with Ashtan, he'll teach you how to master your weapons" he demanded, we followed it immediately, it doesn't bother me when he does that, it's for my own good after all. Even if I hate being demanded by someone. I am stubborn alright ahahahahaha "And he'll be teaching you how to infuse the weapon with thunder, that'd be exciting, now I'm focusing with my little sister here" 

"Yea good luck, let's do our best" Aisha exclaimed holding her weapon with both her hands

"So what do you have Aisha?" asked Kuzma pertaining to Aisha obviously, she looked powerful with her weapon though, it adds her much intimidating aura

"Oh I had a spear, but this one's a little different" she answered and showed it to us, I observed the nice spear she's holding. It got nice designs too, Dimians really do a great job. Her spear is purely made of iron, it shines when it's struck by the sunlight. 

    It's metal but it looked not-so-heavy. Plus it got quite inches long blades on both ends. It looked really looked creepy yet compelling.

"Silly, that's not a spear, a spear only has one blade" Ashtan interrupted "It's called blade staff" he continued then suddenly laughed ahahahaha so that's a blade staff, not a spear, I see....

"Is that what it's called?" Aisha asked with laughter, we all just laughed at her not knowing what her weapon is called

"Look at you, picking something you doesn't even know, and that's far from a spear, that's actually a sword," Ashtan said as he grinned

"At least I know how to use this already. Isn't it fascinating... picking something you don't even know, it's like coming out of your comfort zone... trying other things" Aisha defended herself, she's right though. We agreed with her while laughing hard

"Yea that's enough, let's get started" Ashtan stated. We composed ourselves and went to position

"You guys already know how to use it right?" Ashtan asked us as we distance ourselves from Kurezma and Kuzma who's getting started too

"Yea, I can let my ax fly and target someone from a distance" I answered him, he just smiled at me "I also learned how to fight with this before, and the blade is not the only functional here, the handle does a great job too ahahahaha" I added, remembering my first time using it. 

    It didn't go well actually, but the handle helped me a lot, I defended myself out of it... yea guess it right, out of adrenaline rush I held it the wrong way ahahahahaha since then I learned methods of using it including the handle

"How about you Aisha?" Ashtan turned to Aisha and looked at her blade staff

"Yea, I learned using this too, I can't say I'm best at it, but I can practice more right?" she shyly stated and Ashtan smiled again...dude, I wish I had those dimples too, they appear even with a slight smile. I'm cute without those dimples though.

"So... I guess it wouldn't be so hard after all, why don't we have a little warm-up," he said "Let's get into action, you two against me" he challenged us... that sounds fun ahahahahaha "Get ready!" Ashtan shouted

    I lifted my ax above as a sign of preparedness... well to tell you, this isn't an ordinary ax either ahahahaha same with Aisha, this has a distinction. But unlike her, I knew it immediately before anyone could tell me. And it seems like they don't know what this is called too. 

   This has a blade on its opposite so it's called a Double bit Axe, which blades are shaped in crescent. It is a double-headed ax, which to be clear has blades on both sides, so yea it is deadly ahahahahaha plus having me handling it.

    Aisha held her blade stuff with both her hands with a tight grip, I wonder how she uses it. Ashtan signaled us to begin. I started it with a small jump forward then quickly put my feet in position and then bolted my ax in the air towards Ashtan, it came fast but Ashtan is faster to dodge it... man, he's fast. 

    I grunted in dismay. Wait, Aisha is fastest ahahaha she came running, having Ashtan not noticing her. She swayed her blade staff that let her scream and made Ashtan stumble his feet down to the ground. 

    We're not wounding nor killing anyone here, just friendly sparring. My double-bit ax went spinning in the air as it came back to Ashtan, he wasn't caught off-guard and immediately bowed down and avoided it again. I yelled as I caught my ax mid-air and jumped right near Ashtan who's lying down on the grass.

     I swung my ax to smash the ground as he fastly got his feet and stood up, Aisha moved her hands to attack Ashtan again, she's fast to do that, but then again Ashtan is faster to avoid it. I can hear every swoosh and s***h in the air as our weapons are swung forcefully.

    I swayed my ax again and finally, I hit him but not that hard and managed to avoid the blade, but enough to knock him again. I heard he groaned just by that. He backflipped away from us but bolted as he sways his sword to shove us away. Of course, I won't let myself be hit by him so I jumped backward, I looked at Aisha signaling her to attack together. 

    In split seconds, we came to Ashtan and swung our weapons but he just blocked it with his sword. I was quick to sway it under that made him hop to avoid it again. Man, we Truenos are really good at dodging things as fast as a flash of lightning. Now, he's attacking me fastly, I hear him growling as he does that, I'm just blocking his sword with the handle of my ax, good thing it had a metal handle too, same with Aisha's blade staff. 

    He's very fast with attacking me, one miss then I'll end up bleeding on the ground. He swayed his sword in different directions which I can hardly catch up but thankfully I did. I gasped as he tripped my foot with his leg which caused me to outbalance. 

    Now Aisha made her way to get Ashtan. Her blade staff had an edge over him plus her skills upon using it. I immediately went up and joined them. Aisha squealed in pain and force. Ashtan really is very fast at dodging both of us. All I did was to keep smashing and smashing with my ax but he kept on avoiding it. 

    I growled each time I repeated myself. He faced Aisha as she started spinning her blade staff, that's very fast. It looked like a fan of the blade. She looked powerful and intimidating with those. She's spinning it left and right as she's attacking Ashtan, he hissed but the same thing, he kept on blocking it. 

    Now I had the chance, I held my ax near the blade and swung it over Ashtan's feet and stumbled him the same thing he did to me a while ago. He yelled in pain and fell to the ground that made Aisha lock him with her blade staff pointing his neck. This is amazing, we get to beat him.

"Not so fast" he mumbled, he swung his sword over towards Aisha's blade staff, so fast that we didn't even manage to see it. He hopped up and started attacking us again. Now he has become faster. Swooshing sound became louder due to the acceleration made by him. 

    This is a lot harder than I thought. But before he could get to us, I prepared my ax and same as Aisha with her blade staff. Now he became silent, he didn't let any sound come out of his mouth as he swayed his sword faster than before. It's quite hard not hearing him, we don't know where and when to block him. 

    We just kept on blocking him as he attacked us, our grunts, groans and yells got louder and louder as our hands tired out but still trying to dodge him. He has a lot of energy not to tire very soon too. 

    I tripped his foot again but he managed to hop out of it, literally, I missed. Now, Aisha's attacking him, but he kept on avoiding it. I had a chance to pin him down again, I ran towards him with my hands near my ax's blades again. I hit his legs and made him fall again, but that didn't turn out good. 

    He back flipped once more and kicked my ax that made it flew a little distant from us. He swung his sword hard and fast that made Aisha let go from the tight grip she had with her blade staff.... and obviously, he won over us.... gosh I'm very tired now.

"That was amazing, you two are strong to be able to catch up with me" he complimented us, but I couldn't speak due to my heavy breaths as I sat down on the grass. Aisha's panting too and sat down with me. I can feel my sweat dripping down my skin, a lot of them, and I felt hot too.

"A little more practice would do" he added, he went to get my ax from where it landed and gave it to me

"T-thanks" I uttered in between my breaths. I put my ax down and rested myself.

"Your skills are amazing too, plus your strategies... keep up guys," he said and sat with us, we're taking our rest right now... I'm totally drained because of that match. Next time, I'll work out my endurance for me not to tire out like this.
