CHAPTER VII : WARM-UP

-Kuzma-

    I smirked at the thought that kept repeating my mind right now. Ashtan just asked Kurezma about her sleep last night. There's nothing wrong with that actually, it's just his sweet concerned tone added the twist. Yeah right, he asked Kurezma in a sweet concerned manner, which didn't bother him at all, as if he did that intentionally. 

    That's why I was shocked. I've known him as a quiet, emotionless, mysterious dude whom you won't notice lurking around. This morning is just enough to electrify my thoughts. It is absolutely, outrightly shocking.

"So Kurez, what was your weird dream about?" I asked her that made everyone looked at me, even Nazif and Aisha who just came

"I'm not sure if it's a dream, it looked real" she started, she looked dumbfounded, she must've not understood her dream well either, what do we expect from her, she doesn't understand even simple things ahahahaha just kidding

"You know what, weird things often happen to you lately" Aisha cut in with her observation, which is true by the way. I noticed it too.

"Yea, but last night, I had a dream about Iduma visiting me" Kurezma continued...Iduma?

"As in the Goddess of Earth Elements?" Nazif blurted out, he's shocked as well

"She's also the lady I've been referring yesterday, the one who helped me using my powers" Kurezma added, she talked as if she's thinking deeply

"So she's the one who taught you, no wonder the forces of nature just howled up" Nazif suggested

"What else did she tell you?" asked Ashtan, why does he have that tone again, what's wrong with him

"She told me to train well, powers are not enough, I should be ready myself, with or without it" Kurezma answered him, which is right, she should be more prepared about it, powers are not enough. Will-power should be added

"She's correct then" I uttered "Physical plus special strength it is"

"Iduma also mentioned about checking if she's not mistaken too" Kurez voiced out that made us stop for a while

"What do you mean not mistaken?" Ashtan asked again with a serious and confused look, not with the same tone though

"I don't know, she didn't go further" Kurez shortly answered, it's like she doesn't know as well "But she gave me something too, I don't know what it is but I think it has something to do with why I just wanted to train more... I don't know" she continued

"Well then, enough talking let's get started" I announced, we all stood up and prepared ourselves for a day-long training.

"Let's have a warm-up first, lead us Brother" Kurezma called me to lead them, hmmm.... something's off with her, maybe it's what Iduma gave her. Is she brainwashed? or rather convinced? Whatever that is, it's amazing. Kurezma had just an interest in training and becoming stronger.

"Nice Kurezma, gaining passion towards learning, huh?" I playfully told her which she just smiled "You're not my lazy complainant little sister anymore, you're more of a matured Trueno who's willing to defend her tribe" I added

"Yea thanks for the compliment," she said sarcastically "let's just get started"

    I instructed them to have some warm-up first before proceeding. I told them to stretch out some bones and muscles which they did. We often do this every morning actually, so it's not new to them.

"Ok, first, let's jog 20 rounds around the whole field" I commanded them, well... 20 rounds is just enough for a medium-sized field, it's not so spacious, though. 

"Seriously? 20? I'm gonna die before finishing that round" complained Kurezma

"Oh I guess it's still you ahahahaha" I said "Now go!" I didn't mind about her complaining and pushed them to do it instead. She's not going to improve if she kept on complaining, and she knows that. I went jogging with them too, just to be fair. I need to maintain myself too.

"I'm tired already!" Kuzma shouted as we finished the 3rd round

"You can do it Kurez, it's too soon to get tired" Nazif shouted back, she really is a hard student to deal with

"As if I can do anything about it" Kurez stated in defeat, we just continued running and running until we finished 20 rounds, and it's a miracle for Kurezma finishing it

"Hey you should write this down Kurez, it's an achievement, you haven't run that much before" I congratulated her sarcastically

"Yea thanks so much, now let's proceed," she said without minding how tired she is, poor little girl, she really wants to improve a lot. 

"Let's go" I called them after we drank water

    I just asked them to do some more stretching to condition their body. My teacher told me that it helps a lot, especially in handling our powers. It also helps us to move properly, because controlling our power needs a versatile and resilient body. 

     Exercising also helps our body to become stronger, enough ways to help us handle our powers efficiently. Strong power plus strong body equals stronger power, weak power plus strong body is equals to a strong power, but strong power plus weak body equals weaker power, that's the equation I learned years before. Kurezma learned that too, I just don't know where her knowledge goes....

     In order to expertly handle and use our power, we are required to have our bodies healthy, that's why we are required to be healthy as well. It gives us more energy, strength, speed, immunity, resistance, and stamina in using our powers. With great power comes with great responsibility ahahahaha

    Maybe Kurez had trouble controlling her power because she's so lazy to exercise that she can't handle herself, that's why. Well, that explains it.

"Now, Ashtan is teaching us some basic self-defense without using electricity, ok?" I instructed them as we finished having our warm-up. 

    This is also important because not all the time we can use our power. There are instances that don't apply some electricity, so basic self-defenses are needed. 

    I've seen Ashtan fight tremendously during training these past few years. He's very good at it, I'm also good, but I just let him teach it to us.

     Now I see Kurez working hard for herself. She's afraid of graduating without learning after all. Of course, it's hard to teach her since she knew nothing, so Ashtan had to start from the very beginning, like teaching her how to punch ahahahaha

"I'm so tired" I heard Kurez said as we took a break from training and went to sit down and rest a bit

"You did well today" Ashtan praised her that made her smile

"Oh yea I just did, I'm amazing" she praised herself as well... we just laughed at her, I didn't say anything bad, I don't want to destroy her nice mood. She might end up hating training.

***In the Realm of the Gods***

"Oh look at that" Olmagon, the Goddess of Water, Ocean, and Storm, exclaimed as she watched Kurezma from a crystal ball, training hard to make herself stronger 

"I think someone here has to swallow what he said earlier about Kurezma being worthless" Eos, the God of Thunder, Cloud, Sky, and Highlands, playfully teased Fishao about what he said during the conversation earlier, he looked at Fishao who gave him a dagger look

"Just because she ran that much doesn't mean she's strong enough" Fishao defended himself which almost came out as a grunt, his jaw clenched and his eyes pierced

"Just because she ran that much doesn't mean she'll stop there Fishao" Yoloswagens mocked Fishao and caused a loud laugh among the Gods and Goddesses

"Of course, great things start with small beginnings, there's a lot more to come, remember that, there's a lot more to come" Chelino En Dinamarca kept repeating himself, Fishao went to the open window again out of disgust, it seems like the Gods had poured favor over their chosen one, Iduma thought. She plastered a smile on her face signing a great relief.

"It seems like future just got clearer and clearer each time we try" Aislara agreed with Chelino, she looked at Iduma to compliment her first success with her mission

"See, I haven't failed anyone" Iduma snapped to cut in, she lightly brushed her hair as if boasting her nice decision

"It's only the beginning, we don't know what will happen next, only time knows" Fishao again defended himself as he turned to the others from the window

"I'm in favor of Iduma, but I agree with what you have said. Fishao" Zico stated his opinion as time was mentioned by him. Fishao must've understood now the power of correct timing, he thought.

"Just do the talking, you'll be surprised by the outcomes, things are not what it seems though '' Iduma disclosed not letting herself defeated by the negativities of the Doubtful God.

"But still this Trueno isn't useless, of course, because she's Trueno" added Eos with an arrogant tone as he raised one eyebrow manifesting his power

"I would like to say yes too," said Olmagon proudly as she looked at Eos then back to Iduma with excitement in her eyes.
