CHAPTER XXXIX : MEETING

-Nazif-

            After the incident, the principal told me to go with him somewhere. I don't know where, but he told me it's a meeting with the other tribes' chieftain and he said it is very important that I need to be there. I don't understand actually but as if I can do anything about it, he's the chieftain after all.

            This must be something about the attack that happened to us. That attack was horrible, it killed a lot from us including some of the graduating students. I'm so sad for them. Whoever the attackers are and whatever reasons they have to do that, they will surely pay for what happened. 

            "Take care, ok?" Aisha told me with her soft voice as she handed me my bag before I go to meet the principal. She was so worried as I told her that I'd be leaving, yet she helped me pack all the things I'd be needing. She even took care of my snacks ahahaha she cared for me a lot...

            "Thanks, you too" i smiled at her and kissed her forehead lightly as I held her hand tightly and looked at her eyes "Take care of them too" i added while I motioned my head towards the other side pertaining to Kuzma and Kurezma who's been silent the whole time, they must have had a hard time accepting what happened last time. 

             I don't know why but it seems like it hit them hard. It seems like they're grieving for everyone's lost. I also feel so sorry for everyone since we are all victims here. And it's so difficult to absorb since none of those things usually happens to us, and it's been a long long time since we live peacefully up here.

             I understand Kurezma since she was appointed as a hero yet it still happened and many died in her watch, that's so sad and regretful to feel. But it's not her fault after all, it was all unexpected, no one wanted that to happen. She's also a victim. The only ones who are to be blame are those who caused the commotion. Screw them, our graduation was ruined!

            "I already put your food in your bag, and some water" she mentioned looking right through my eyes while still holding my bag "First aid too, if in case. And your extra clothes, don't forget to change when you're all sweat. You smell bad when you do. I heard it's hot in there" she continued as she flashed a quiet chuckle when she cracked a joke. 

             I looked at her in disbelief as if I'm disagreeing with what she just said yet I immediately smiled at her again but a lot brighter than a while ago, i love this feeling. I didn't know she's this caring and thoughtful. I'm just so lucky.

            "Thank you" I told her and squeezed her hand lightly as I winked at her without breaking my smile, she's so sweet "I see you're a perfect caring wife, wait until I come back, I'm never letting you slip off of my grasp" I heartfully said that made her expression changed into something that i don't understand

            "W-what? What are... you t-talking about? huh?" she stuttered as she quickly avoided my gaze and looked away, but I can still see her face turned red and her eyes sparkle ahahaha she's just so cute, she's so precious. Even if she keeps on denying it, I still know how she feels because that's what I am feeling too.

            "Nothing, it's just that I'd be gone for just a day, and there are accommodations there so you don't have to worry about me. This is a lot from you, it's not that I'm gonna be gone forever" i explained as i chuckled lightly and she flashed an embarrassed look on her face adding to her blushing cheeks "But still thank you, you're so sweet" i continued and added emphasis on the last word and winked at her

            "Never mind" she uttered and pulled her hand away from my hand and stepped back "Now go. Hurry, they're waiting for you" she added and turned to Kurezma who's sitting behind us

            "Goodbye, I'll miss you" I said and quickly ran outside and didn't wait for whatever she's going to say, I'm sure she'll just roll her eyes or say something that'll annoy me. But I just noticed that we became closer lately, I love it. Well, I love her.

            "Why are you bringing me anyway?" I asked the principal as we rode a strange vehicle to bring us to our destination. It's like a carriage that is driven by horse, it's just that the horses are flying without wings and there are no wheels that made it look strange "Are we going down to the land?" i asked excitedly and stared at him

            I've never seen this before, we don't have vehicles up in the clouds. If we're in a hurry to go to a place, we'll just run... we're fast as the thunder anyway. Or sometimes we just walk. 

            "Yes, it is in the land. And I'm bringing you so that you'll learn the things I do" he answered me without looking at me as he focused his eyes forward yet his voice was so firm addressing to me

            "Wait, why do I have to learn the things you do? Things like what?" I asked confusingly as I focused my gaze upon him who didn't even bother to turn to me

            "And why do you have so much questions?" he snapped but still not looking at me, I just closed my mouth and decided not to talk anymore "Just rest there, we have a lot of things to do as we get there" he added

            "Ok" i shortly answered and sat myself comfortably and waited until we arrive in our destination

            "We're here" I heard someone from outside calling us, I think it's the one driving our vehicle, I grabbed my bag and opened the door then hopped to get myself down, the carriage is still floating though, but not so high. I held the door to help the principal to get down, or rather the chieftain, since I already graduated ahahahaha just kidding

            "So this is it?" I asked and turned around to check the surroundings, the air here feels so not fresh, and it's thinner from where we came from

            "Yes, we're in the land of the Mortals, this is where we held our meetings since the land of the Fairies closed their place from outsiders" he explained and started to walk forward, some guards walked behind us probably to guard us of course ahahaha

            It looks amazing here, I mean, it's the same with our place with houses, buildings, some machines, and people but it's different here then the clouds I'm stepping above, it's real soil here. And there are trees, and grasses, and bushes! It's so nice, it's actually my first time seeing these! Wow...

            I also saw some animals with four legs walking on the ground, some are playing with the people. We have animals above but it doesn't have four legs, and doesn't walk. It only has wings and fly above, they don't even bother playing with us. I envy them, I wonder how it feels like to play with your own animal, do they own them?

            "Why are you spacing out?" I heard someone waking up my senses, I looked at the one who called me, it's the chieftain

            "Nothing, it's just my first time seeing things like this" I answered that made him nod and then minded his own business.

            "Don't be so mesmerized, they are dying anyway. Look, they are not as green as they were before. This placed used to be so bright, but now... it's so dim" he added that made me look at the surroundings again. He's right, it doesn't feel alive, but why? I just followed him to where he's going while I kept staring at the new things around me. 

            The people are all turning their heads toward us but they didn't feel threatened or acted strange, they must have known us and they're used to it. Our clothing is different too, we wore thicker clothes, and we are fully covered, while they wore thin clothes and they are not covering their whole body. 

            Maybe it's because of the temperature differences in our places. Since we live up above, our temperature is cooler so we needed thicker clothes to warm ourselves, and they need thinner clothes because they had higher temperature. I actually feel like I'm already sweating...

            Since when did I become smart to conclude that? ahahahaha anyway, I'm starting to sweat. I removed my cloak that Aisha gave me to wear, speaking of Aisha, I can't wait to tell her everything about this. 

            Anyway, I removed my cloak and revealed my sleeveless shirt that displayed my toned biceps ahahaha just kidding but it's true, my muscles are defined due to training, wait... why do our shirts are well-designed while their shirts are just plain? 

            I looked like someone from a higher class with what I wore ahahahaha I looked sophisticated. Yet nobody cared at all ahahahaha

            We entered a large building after we had the walk in the street. I asked our Chieftain why we landed far from the building when we could just land here, he said that those kind of vehicles are not allowed from that point until here since it's an aircraft. And culture differences too, I respect that.

            This building looked beautiful from the outside though. It's so majestic, the walls are so detailed, no wonder why we are having the meeting here, it must be the building where their chieftain’s office is. 

            We continued to walk and passed some doors, the carpeted floor looks so amazing, the design is so cultural and it really shows what kind of people the Mortals are. The images on the walls tells their history and culture, even the doors got their own designs. 

            The corridor has some plants aligned in both sides to add the beauty of the place. It looks like a castle to me, well, the outside does.

            We entered a hall after we passed some doors, as we enter I found other people sitting on chairs encircled around a table waiting for us to arrive. If I'm not mistaken, these people are the Chieftains of the other tribes. I can sense their authority and power same as our Chieftain. 

            Our Chieftain walked straight to the vacant chair aligned with them and sat down. I looked for another chair inside this room and found one in the corner. It's not totally a chair, it's a long seat, a couch rather. And there's someone sitting there too, well, sharing is not bad. I walked to it and sat myself comfortably

            "Now that you have arrived, let us start" one of them said and looked at our chieftain as he smiled a bit, he wears an ultramarine clothing

            "What is it are we going to talk about?" another one asked looking at then one wearing an amethyst purple clothing, anyway why are they color coded? ahahahaha seriously, there is someone wearing blue... let me guess he's from the Air Empire, the purple one is from the Psychic ahahahaha just kidding, I don't know

            "Some incidents that are occurring" the one wearing celeste colored clothing mentioned, hmmm... maybe we're not the only ones being attacked here
