CHAPTER LIV : OUR STRENGTHS

-Kurezma-

            After that revelation, everything went back to normal. I went back to class and joined them with the training. Except for Kuzma, he said that he won’t be participating with us anymore. I understand him, he has a lot to do as the prince of Fairy Kingdom, plus he has to go there to save his land.

            I still don’t understand that thing he was talking about. How was I made? Am I not human? Or maybe mother had someone he just didn’t know. Gosh, it’s getting into my head. I wish mother is here to tell us everything that had happened. What is that thing that he mentioned that has followed them?

            What am I? What kind of creature am I? I want to know. I just knew myself as me, the Trueno who was a late bloomer that didn’t receive her power in the right time. All I know is that I am the Trueno who sucks at school and just recently learned her abilities. Then the next thing I knew is that I am the Azhakkstadd hero.

            I don’t know where I came from, I don’t know who I am, and I don’t know why I am here. Oh Gosh this is getting heavy. Please Lord Malikstar, help me. There’s something in me that wanted to know what really happened in the past. There’s something in me that wanted to look for answers… but it seems like the answers that I am looking for are impossible to find.   

            Anyway, Kuzma is leaving today. That’s the only thing I heard yesterday that they talked about because I was out of myself thinking about what I heard yesterday. This is my first time to be separated with him. All my life, he was always there for me, I’m just so sad…. I’m going to miss him.

            I stood up from my bed and went outside to meet him before he leaves. He told me to do so, I’m sure he’s going to miss me too, and he don’t want to leave me but he has too. I walked towards the hallway going to the main lobby to meet him there. He told me yesterday that he would see me there before he goes.

            I saw him standing near a door probably waiting for me. He is already well-dressed, with his luggage carrying his things is placed near him and is ready to go. He smiled at me when he saw me approaching towards him. I walked closer to him while he just waited for me to get there.

            “Hey” he smiled as he greeted me. I can see sadness in his eyes even though he smiled. He’s my brother he can’t hide anything from me, not now when we both have the same feeling. I also gave him a faint smile, not like him, I’m not afraid nor embarrassed to show him that I really am sad that he will have to leave me.

            “Take care, ok?” I said in between my smile “I’m going to miss you” I added as I just stared at him, I’m just preventing myself to cry, I don’t want to create a scene here, plus the others are also here, they also wanted to bid their farewell. I can see that he’s also holding back his tears.

            This is the worse feeling of all. The time when you have to leave your family when you don’t want to but you have nothing to do because you have to. Even though you don’t get along well with them, you still don’t want to be separated with them, because after all, they’re your family.

            “Thanks, you too… I won’t be gone forever anyway… I will still be with you no matter what, and I know you can handle yourself” he said as he put his hand on my head and messed up my hair… ugh! Even though you’re leaving I still hate you, Kuzma!

            “I just done that!” I exclaimed as I removed his hand and finger combed my hair to fix it. My sad expression suddenly turned into irritated one, while he just laughed the usual way he is… oh gosh, that’s why I’m not into drama…

            “I’ll come by when I’m not busy, ok?” he said as he picked up his luggage and gave me one last smile

            “Don’t” I said that made him stop “Just kidding ahahahaha” I said and laughed that also made him laugh ahahaha he’s so silly, I hope he’ll do well. I just watched him left the door until I can’t see him anymore. I turned around and saw the others staring at me with their sympathizing faces.

            I smiled at them telling them that I’m fine. I walked towards the classroom that we entered yesterday for the lessons. I felt them following too yet I didn’t turn around to check, I just walked straight and went on my seat as I enter the room. The Ordo king is still not here so the classroom was silent after we all sat down.

            Look at this classroom, yesterday they were partying because Kuzma was here, now I know who started that party. Haysss my brother, wherever he goes, he always brings so much energy and induce it with other people.

            “Good morning everyone” the Ordo king greeted us all when he entered. It took him several minutes before he came though. I wonder what he did that caused him to be late.

            “Good morning your highness” we all greeted back, I didn’t care to look at him as I just wait for him to be in front. But my ears suddenly went firm when I heard other person’s footsteps… he’s not the only one who came. I felt nervous yet excited at the same time all of a sudden when I heard it. I don’t know but I hope he really has someone with him.

            I slowly turned my head around to see if I am not mistaken.

            “I’m so sorry I am late” the Ordo king apologized, my eyes suddenly popped out when I saw the person walking with him. It’s Ashtan… oh my gosh! What is he doing here!? Oh my gosh! I’m so happy! Thanks God Malikstar you gave me Ashtan when you took away Kuzma… haysss, I just felt so relieved

            Wait… not took away Kuzma as in he literally took him away ahahaha I mean, separated him from me… you might misunderstand me.

            Ashtan smiled the moment my eyes laid on him, I was shocked when I caught him looking at me. Maybe he just waited for me to look at him too. He walked passed through me yet his gazes are still on me… oh my gosh… stop!

            “Due to Kuzma’s absence, the Trueno chieftain, and I along with the Sioga King, we decided to replace him from being the Thunder Hero, and have Ashtan here as an exchange” he initiated that we all understand. Now, it makes sense to me now, that’s the reason he’s here… I wonder what Nazif and Aisha are doing so far… I have so much to ask him.

            “Hi everyone, I’m Ashtan Montalvoii, I’m 19 years old, and I’m also from the Thunder Tribe, just like Kuzma and Kurezma…” he introduced himself and smiled at everyone. The Ordo chieftain signaled him to take a sit. He went to the seat where Kuzma sat yesterday, it was the chair in front of me, two chairs apart.  

            He looked at me before he took his seat, he smiled for a while and proceeded. Aww… I missed him too. I wish we could spend time together sometimes even though we’ll be busy here.

            “Yesterday, we talked about knowing yourself… and two of you here are lucky to suddenly know their selves in that sudden time… yet Kuzma has to leave” the Ordo king initiated mentioning that, that pertains to us. Yea right, ahahaha after the lessons, we suddenly heard those things… enough for knowing ourselves more. Now Kuzma has to leave.

            “Have you reflected to yourselves about our lesson yesterday?” the Ordo king asked, everyone silently nodded as they looked at each other. That’s good, but it’s not easy to reflect in just a day. It’ll take time to know yourself, yet that process is the beginning of it. Maybe as we progress with this training we’ll get to know more about ourselves.

            “Today, we have to know our strengths so that we will become stronger as well as our weaknesses in order to overcome it” the Ordo king continued… this is also our lesson way back in our school. But the level of difficulty and challenge is different. Whatever it is, we really have to know that aspect.

            “Your strengths are things you can leverage on, things you can use to push yourself further. On the other hand, your weaknesses are not your downfall. These are areas you need to improve on. It is not something you lack. It is something you need to develop and build” the Ordo king explained as he stood in front of us

            “But how will you hold on to it anyway? Well, in order to leverage your strengths and improve on your weaknesses, you first need to know them” he added as he gave us strong glances just like he did yesterday. Gosh, his lectures really hit so hard… now I know why Psychic are the most intelligent people of Azhakkstadd.

            “First of all, what is strength? And what is weakness? Anyone?” he asked us… gosh, the question is so basic ahahaha but I don’t want to answer. Someone raised his hands from us… it’s Hazol… oh, the psychic ahaha as expected from him

            “Strengths are the skills and abilities that are easy for you. So when you’re leveraging those skills and abilities you do quite well. Knowing your strengths means you know what activities to engage in that will allow you to shine” he answered as he explained

            “Weaknesses are those skills and abilities that don’t come easy to you. When you are using those skills and abilities, you might struggle. Knowing your weaknesses allows you to understand how you can work around them” he added and sat down after answering

            “So in short, strengths are things you are good at, and weaknesses are the opposite…” Dafrosa, the Dimian inserted… that’s the shorter wau to explain it ahahaha I knew this girl is smart

            “You are both correct” the Ordo king answered, I turned to Hazol who is holding himself from laughter, I looked at the person next to him, it’s Ran… hayss these two…

            “Why are you laughing? Is there something funny?” the Ordo king asked the two of them calmly ahahaha serves them right, just kidding… why do they have to laugh during class ahahaha

            “Nothing, your highness I’m so sorry” Ran answered as he bowed down and both of them stopped laughing. Let me guess, Ran laughed at Hazol teasing him about that part when he answered ahahahaha I just thought because I’m like that to my brother… you know, closeness ahahaha

            “Why is it important to know our strengths and weaknesses? Stand up” the Ordo king said facing Ran, he slowly stood up still preventing himself from laughing ahahahaha that’s so difficult, but you can’t just laugh in front of the Ordo king, that’s disrespectful… I can’t imagine myself in that situation.

            “Strengths and weaknesses are part of being self-aware. When you know your strengths and weaknesses, you can create a development strategy that focuses on your specific development needs” he shortly answered as he sat down. Oh gosh… good thing, he managed to answer ahahahaha

            “You two, behave… if you keep on laughing, I’ll separate you too. You can laugh all you want after class. Don’t embarrass the two highest Nation of Azhakkstadd in front of the others” the Ordo king said teaching them both their lesson and looked at us going back to the lesson.
