Getting Dressed

1276 Words
{Margo’s POV} I walked back into the kitchen, where Damon and Carter were talking. They both turned to me, and smiled. “Well, don’t you look cute!” Carter said. I blushed and walked past them back into the movie room. I sat down next to Angelo, and he put his arm around me. “What happened to your other outfit?” He asked. “I was drinking my water when Damon popped up in the kitchen. He was grabbing a water too, but he scared the crap out of me. I spilled water all over me, and had to go change.” I said, smiling at him. “I passed him and Carter in the kitchen on my way back.” I said turning my attention back to the movie. He laughed. “Damon is really bad about walking around quietly, he sneaks up on all of us!” I smiled and leaned over onto him. “I don’t know how I feel about romance movies..” I said, watching the couple kiss again on the screen. “They’re okay.” He answered back. “Not our favorite, but action and thrillers may not be the best thing for you to watch.” I nodded. “Yeah, you’re probably right about that.” I smiled, and turned to look up at him. “Do you think I need to wear a fancy dress to dinner? Are we going to a fancy restaurant?” I asked. “Yeah, it’s black tie, maybe ask the girls to help you pick out a dress, they go to the restaurant we’re going to tonight all the time!” He said, pointing down to the girls in front of us. I heard someone clear their throat behind me. “Excuse me little Margo, but you’re in my seat.” Carter snickered down at me. I looked down where I was sitting. “I’m sorry, I’ll move..” I said, starting to get up. “I’m just playing! I’ll sit here.” He said, sitting down on the other side of me. His closeness made me uncomfortable, but in a way I didn’t expect. I was nervous around him, but because I kept picturing him like the characters in the movie. His lips against mine, I made eye contact with Damon as he passed by us, walking back down to sit with his sister. My heart sped up, and I realized that I liked Damon.. and Carter.. I imagined them, one on each side of me, kissing me passionately. I anxiously shook my head back and forth, trying to get the images out of my head. “Can I go back to my room so I can pick out a few outfits?” I asked Angelo. He nodded and I excused myself from the group. I practically ran to my room and closed the door behind me. I walked back into my closet and began pulling out dresses left and right, laying them on my bed. After about an hour I heard a knock on my door. “Hey sis, the movie is over, and dinner is in an hour and a half. The girls are ready to come up to your room, if you’re decent!” Silas said, laughing on the other side. “I’m decent..” I said softly, then the door opened and all the girls burst into the room. “WOW, you’ve made a mess in here.. what’s with all the dresses?” Brianna asked. “Angelo said that we’re going to a black tie restaurant, and I was hoping you guys may help me find a dress to wear..” I said, looking at the pile of clothes in front of me. They all squealed and began going through my stuff, getting out makeup and hair products and gave me a makeover, along with getting themselves ready. Once they were all dressed up, and they had done my makeup, and fixed my hair Serena handed me a dress and told me to go into the bathroom and change. I did, and once I looked in the mirror I gasped. My hair was in a half up, half down style, and it was curled to perfection. My makeup was subtle, but elegant, and the dress she gave me was a white, off the shoulder gown. It clung to my curves, and showed off my cleavage. It came up to my knees, and had a slit on one side that went up to my mid thigh. I looked really pretty, and I opened the door walking back out into my room. The girls cheered, and gave me thumbs up, before Kara handed me white straps heels. I pulled them on, and grabbed my purse. It was a light pink clutch, and it matched the light colors I was wearing perfectly. We all walked out, making our way down the stairs, and I couldn’t help but smile when I saw my dad. He walked over, offering me his hand as I made my way down the last few stairs. “My beautiful bambina! You look amazing!” He smiled. “Much better than your brothers!” He pointed over to the living room where all the boys were chatting on the couch. They were all in full suits, except for Damon who wore a black button up shirt, with a white vest. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, showing off his muscular arms. Carter walked up behind the couch laughing, he was in a completely white suit, unlike my brothers who were all in black. I walked arm and arm with dad into the living room. Everyone turned to look at us, and I smiled. “Well, is this alright?” I asked doing a little twirl for my brothers. “Oh bambina, you look gorgeous!” Angelo stood and kneeled, kissing my hand. My other brothers agreed, but I couldn’t take my eyes off of Damon and Carter. They stood side by side, their eyes scanning over me. I flushed, and turned my attention back to my friends. “Well girls, are we all ready then?” I asked, walking and interlocking my arms with Serena’s. I saw an older couple step in through a side door, they were followed by another man. The couple looked like Damon and Serena, it must be their parents. And the bright blonde hair that the other man had was unmistakable, he had to be Carter, Brianna, and Kara’s father. The woman rushed over to me and pulled me into her arms tightly. “You look just like Anna!” She gasped. She pulled back and cupped my face with her hands. “So beautiful!” “Oh.. thank you!” I blushed, smiling up at her. Damon spoke up. “Mama, you’re embarrassing the poor girl!” She backed up and smiled. “Sorry, I got so excited to meet you!” She said sweetly. I smiled back and said. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.” “I’m Joyce, and this is my husband Randall!” She said, pointing to the man beside her. “A pleasure.” He nodded to me. I nodded back. “The pleasure is all mine!” “She’s much more polite than your boys!” The other man laughed, he walked up taking my hand in his and kissing my knuckles. “Nice to meet you, I’m Gregory!” He smiled. “So nice to meet you!” I smiled, back. With that, introductions were out of the way, and we all got into our cars and headed to the restaurant.
