Aiden's Point of View
I rushed down the stairs to the living room where Zane and Roshan sat.
“How was she?” Roshan asked the moment he saw me.
“Why don't you ask your brother who forcibly had her?” I snapped.
Zane chuckled and bent his head at me. “She is not just yours but ours.”
I hissed. “Does that mean you have to have her against her will?”
Zane dropped the document he was reading and stood up to face me, pocketing his hands. “See here, she enjoyed it when I pulled inside of her. She even moaned, and that erased my guilt to continue.”
“She is not just a contract freak but our true mate!” I shouted. “Did you feel the bond the night we first had her? That's the reason our wolves felt comfortable around her.”
“Even though she cheated!”
“And how are you sure about that?”
Just as we were arguing, a tiny whisper of a female broke in. “She didn't cheat,” she said.
We all turned and saw a maid shivering with her head down.
“What did you just say?” Roshan's husky voice asked.
“She…she did not cheat on you, my lord.”
“She did not cheat?” Zane asked, surprised, but the surprise quickly disappeared the same way it came. “And how do you think we should believe your lies?”
The maid bravely lifted her head, her hands shaking as she gazed at us with fear written in her eyes. “Then, have my head,” she stated.
“You know that's a huge demand, and truly, if we find out you are lying, your head will be served,” Roshan said, crossing his hands.
I sighed. “It's okay, you can tell us,” I urged her to carry on. We need to know the truth if Astrid cheated or not.
The maid took a deep breath before she continued. “Alpha King Lothaire Ferguson came this morning after you all left.”
“You mean our father?” I asked, my face masked with confusion.
“Why would he be here?” Roshan asked, looking serious.
“Why don't we allow her to continue and see where this is heading?” Zane said and urged her to continue.
She swallowed and tried to look composed. It seemed what she was about to say next was difficult for her. “When he was here….” She hesitated, glanced at us, but carried on. “He…he…tried to have his way with Miss Astrid, assuming she was a new maid.”
“That bastard!” Roshan roared, his fists clenching.
My heart raced, anger bubbling inside me. “Did he hurt her?”
“No, my lord. But no one could stop him because he was the king. But Miss Astrid did cheat even though she fought him” the maid explained, tears welling up in her eyes.
Roshan and Zane exchanged a look, their expressions darkening.
I felt a surge of relief but also a burning rage. “Astrid didn't cheat. Did you hear that our father was the one who wanted to have his way with her?”
Roshan took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. “We need to confront him.”
Zane nodded, his eyes steely. “We can't let this go.”
I stepped forward, placing a hand on the maid's shoulder. “Thank you for telling us the truth. You're brave.”
She nodded, tears streaming down her face. “Please protect her, my lord.” She said,
“Of course, that is our job to do.”
She shook her head and bowed before leaving the room. I turned to Zane.
“Now you have heard the truth, you need to apologize to her.”
“Is that even necessary? Why don't we just act like nothing like that ever happened?” he said, but the looks in my eyes and Roshan's eyes changed his statement.
“Okay, I'll do my best on that, but you guys know I'm not that romantic type,” he stated, but no one paid him attention.
I finally took my seat and sat down, thinking of a way we had to make up with Astrid.
I can still remember the tears in her eyes when she looked back, pleading with Zane to believe her. I couldn't do anything because I was confused and didn't know which side to support. My brothers, whom I have spent all my life with, or a woman, I'm getting to know.
Just in my thinking state, Roshan stood up and started walking toward the stairs.
“What are you going to do?” I asked. He looked at me over his shoulder.
“I'm going to see her,” he said and mused.
I sighed and turned to see Zane, who was counting his fingers and murmuring to himself like he was doing math.
“What are you doing?”
“Trying to beg our new mate, what else can I be doing?”
I sighed, my brothers are too complicated to understand a woman's feelings.

Third person point of view
Roshan walked up the steps and took a turn that led to Astrid's room. His heart pounded in his chest, a mix of guilt and determination driving him forward. As he approached her door, he hesitated for a moment, collecting his thoughts before gently knocking.
“Astrid, it's me, Roshan. Can I come in?” He asked softly.
There was a pause, and then he heard her muffled voice, “Come in.”
Roshan opened the door and stepped inside. Astrid was sitting on the edge of the bed, her eyes red and puffy from crying. She looked up at him, her expression a mixture of anger and hurt.
“Roshan,” she began, her voice trembling. “What do you want?”
He took a deep breath and walked over to her, kneeling so he was at eye level. “Astrid, I came to apologize. We... I... made a terrible mistake. We misunderstood everything, and we hurt you in the process. I'm so sorry.”
Astrid's eyes filled with tears again, and she looked away. “Sorry? Do you think a simple apology can fix this? You violated my trust and treated me like I was nothing.”
Roshan reached out, gently taking her hands in his. “I know, and I don't expect you to forgive us easily. But we just found out the truth. My father, Lothaire, tried to... he thought you were a maid and tried to force himself on you. The maid told us everything.”
Astrid's eyes widened, and she was shocked at what they knew. Did Sienna finally decide to tell them the truth? Astrid urged him to ask, but Roshan misunderstood her eyes language and nodded, his grip on her hands tightening. “Yes, and I promise you, we will confront him. We won't let this go. But right now, I need you to know that we believe you. We know you didn't cheat.”
Astrid's shoulders sagged, the fight seemed to leave her, and she forgot to ask her question.
“I don't want any trouble. ”
Roshan leaned closer, his voice earnest. “And we don't want that either. We'll do everything we can to make it right and earn your trust again. Just... give us a chance.”
Astrid looked into his eyes, searching for sincerity. After a moment, she nodded slightly. “Alright, Roshan. I'll give you a chance. But you have a lot to prove.”
Roshan smiled faintly, relief washing over him. “Thank you, Astrid. We won't let you down.”
He stood up and gave her one last reassuring squeeze before heading to the door. There was something he had in mind to teach his father a lesson he wouldn't forget.
