Ending the Bullying

I found myself in excruciating pain as Leah clenched a handful of my hair, causing me to let out a cry. Gripping the doorknob tightly, my eyes shut tight in the hope that one of my mates would sense my distress through our mating bonds. I had no idea how to communicate with them through our mating bonds right now. Still, I hoped that one of them would come save me.
“ Answer me when I am talking to you, Omega. Do you want me to smack you?” Leah asked, raising her hand, which made me flinch.
“ I don't have any idea of what you are talking about. Please let me go, I beg you.” I said weakly as I felt my wolf slowly going depressed from the aura surrounding me.
“ Fine. I'll let you go. After I….” Leah said, staring at her friends as she brought out scissors from her back pocket.
Seeing the scissors in her hand, I instantly knew what she was about to do. This was not the first time she had done this to me before. In the past, she had cornered me while I was going home and forcefully cut my hair. I had walked around the entire school being laughed at the next day because Leah posted my pictures on her social media page.
“ No. No, no, no, no. Someone help me! Please, anyone!” I shouted, trying to alert someone when Leah's friends suddenly pushed me into one of the toilet stalls.
Leah's peace was shattered as the door suddenly burst open, causing everyone to jump. Relief flooded through me as I watched Dominic stride into the restroom. His rugged, bad-boy demeanour and the powerful aura of his werewolf nature had a mesmerizing effect on everyone present. Not only was he incredibly handsome, but his arrogant personality and towering stature demanded attention. Leah quickly tried to conceal the scissors by passing them to a friend, but her plan backfired as the scissors clattered to the ground, leaving Leah and her friends wide-eyed. Their fear was palpable as Dominic calmly picked up the scissors.
“ What are you doing with my mate? Do you have a death wish? Leah.” Dominic called out, staring at Leah and her friends, who looked shocked at Dominic, who called me his mate.
“ Did I just hear you right? Mate? This useless Omega is your mate?” Leah asked staring at me.
“ From now on, if I see you near my mate harassing her or trying to seize something from her, we will have a problem. I don't care if your brother is Leo, you will have to deal with me, Leah. Did I make myself clear?” Dominic asked surprising Leah.
Grasping my hand firmly, Dominic guided me out of the restroom. I couldn't believe that he, who had always made it clear that he couldn't stand me, was now standing up for me. Seizing the chance to draw closer to him, I snuggled up to him, feigning fear and vulnerability as we strolled into the hallway. With him publicly acknowledging our relationship, I was determined to take full advantage of the moment and show everyone that I wasn't alone anymore.
“ Valerie. What's wrong? Who did this to you?” Leo asked removing his school jacket as he walked up to us.
Wrapping it around my shoulders, Leo stared at me seeing how shaken I was.
“ You should ask your sister,” Dominic said making Leo clench his hand.
As Leah and her friends emerged from the bathroom, a look of sheer terror crossed her face at the sight of Leo. She froze in place as he advanced towards her, backing her against the wall and delivering a forceful punch that caused her to flinch. A crowd quickly formed as word of the confrontation spread, everyone curious to witness the rare sight of the usually inseparable twins locked in conflict over an Omega. Seeing Leah's fear, I couldn't help but feel a surge of satisfaction.
“ Didn't I already talk to you about this? Why do you keep on bullying Valerie?” Leo asked.
“ Why do you care? What's wrong with all of you? Why are you all defending her now? She is just a lowlife Omega. She is not worthy of being Dominic's mate.” Leah declared making Leo hit the wall again.
“ You have been warned. All of you. If I see you harassing Valerie, you will have to settle scores with me and the boys. Let's go, Valerie.” Dominic said leading me away.
Once we were in the school clinic, I stepped away from Dominic's embrace making sure to keep a huge distance between us. My wolf instantly felt the huge gap between us and growled lowly in my head however, I didn't care. I knew that Dominic's wolf must be having it harder than mine. I was determined to make him beg for my touch.
"What were you guys up to? Were you purposely ignoring me? Did you leave me hanging because you wanted Leah to teach me a lesson? How can I trust you guys as my mates when you can't even watch my back?" I exclaimed.
“ I came rushing to you the moment I felt your wolf was in danger. I would never ignore you.” Dominic said, trying to walk close to me, but I stepped back.
“ I don't believe you. All of you have hated me for a very long time. You all treated me like trash but I chose to forgive you. This isn't going to work between us if you all can't protect me.” I said.
“ Is that all we are to you? Your bodyguards? Your escorts?” Callum asked, pushing the door open and walking in with Zane and Leo.
“ Enough, Callum,” Dominic said, coming to my defence immediately.
"Is that really what you think? Do you even see me as your partner? Leah threatened to chop off all my hair. I was scared and all alone, and not a single one of you came to my aid. Fine then. I won't be a bother to you all anymore. I'll handle things on my own. I don't need your protection," I declared, attempting to leave until Dominic firmly took hold of my hand.
Pulling me back, Dominic wrapped his hand around me holding me close to his body. I could smell the savoury scent of lavender as I stood close to him. Struggling in Dominic's arms, I tried to push him away but I couldn't. He was much stronger than me.
“ I'm sorry. From now on, we will do everything we can to protect you.” Dominic said hugging me tightly.
