Chapter 26: The Stigma
Lucas leaned out of the window, the soft glow of the morning sun shone on his face. The cool breeze caressed his cheeks, while he closed his eyes enjoying the freedom.
"It's really nice to be out here again," he said, his voice filled with excitement. He hated being locked up behind bars, with just a ray of light that passed through the window.
His father smiled, watching his son with a mixture of pride and relief. He was able to get him out though the charges were not lifted up.Lucas had endured so much since birth. He wished silently that his son shouldn't pass through more terrible ordeal.
