Her Broken Euphoria

Chapter 03

 -THIRD PERSON P.O.V-

When Aliana finally arrived at the Hotel Castell in Zuoz, Switzerland, she immediately lay in her bed to relax because she was tired of her long travel in going here in Switzerland. She stared at the beautiful chandelier hanging on her ceiling that made her lips form a smile and excitedly got up and ran into the windows and opened it. The beautiful view she sees through her windows excites more of her to start her adventure, painting all majestic places she will find in Switzerland's beautiful area.

"I'll roam every part of this place to see and paint the beauty of this nation to my canvas! I'm so excited to start my plans here," says Aliana, who's excited about her plans.

"I think I should start my first schedule for tomorrow, and I need rest for now because of the 7 hours and 45 minutes travel to come to Zurich airport, then 2 hours and 47 minutes traveling here in Zouz. That was so tiring." Aliana says in herself before going back to her bed and sits again.

She gets her phone to check if she has received a message or email from her parents, but she can't help but be sad because the only message she sees in her inbox is from her best friend, Chastity. She opened the message, and she reads it. Her best friend sent her a message that she must call her if she's already arrived in Switzerland. Aliana was a bit sad. Her best friend thinks of her than her parents, who never send her a message to check up on her.

"Is it hard for them to send a message to their daughter? I want them to ask me if I safely arrive here, even just that." She uttered with her sad voice.

Aliana takes a breath before taking out her parents in her mind, and she's here in Switzerland to enjoy, to do the passion that will soon be gone to her. Thinking about things that will make her sad will affect her feelings about painting. She smiles and calls her best friend, who wants news from her.

She dialed her best friend's number, and after three rings, she heard the cute voice of her best friend.

(At last, you called! Did you safely arrive at the hotel you will stay at for four days?)

"Yes, I'm already in my room. Thank you for asking me." She chuckled

(Thank goodness, so what will you do in the four days that are given to you? You think it's enough for you?)

"I dunno, but I'll try to tour the best view here in Switzerland. I'm thinking of going first to Lauterbrunnen tomorrow. The Alps there was a beautiful masterpiece to paint." Said Aliana with an excited tone of her voice.

(I hope you enjoy staying there even it is just for four days, sometimes I hate your parents, especially your mom. She doesn't care about what you want but always forcibly to you to do what she wants. They only cared about their business and ignored you. You are their only and solely daughter to take care of, duh!)

Aliana smiled for the care of her bestfriend for her, and she's happy she had Chastity that she could lean on when she needed someone to listen to her rants.

"I'm fine, Chastity. Besides, I have you to take care of me," she said naturally that made her bestfriend chuckle for a second.

(I'm moved by your words for me, of course, I will always be there for you when you need me.)

"Thank you, Chastity, thank you for being my bestfriend." She said with sincerity to her best friend, who is always at her side and supporting her.

Aliana forgets to take a nap because she talks to her best friend more. She was excitedly describing the beautiful views she was seeing at her window. After the long talk she had with her best friend, Chastity took a bath and wore simple loose shirts and fitted jeans. She tied her hair then grab her slinging bag, her camera before leaving her room. She decided to eat in a restaurant when she felt hungry, but first, she will roam around the places of Zouz to gain inspiration for her whole day painting tomorrow.

First, she visits the Baselgia da San Luiz where she sees the churches and cathedrals. It's a beautiful quintessentially Swiss village square with centuries-old buildings, some of the medieval. Aliana can't help but awe at the beauty of the buildings here in Baselgia da San Luiz; that's why she took more pictures of it. Second, Aliana arrived at the Galleria Monica De Cardenas, where she could see some art galleries.

Aliana enjoyed her time roaming the Zouz and finding an exciting and beautiful spot she could see here. She took many pictures, and the people she met were so kind to her and telling her about some places she could visit in Zouz. And because she feels hungry, she finds a restaurant to eat. Aliana was enjoying her food at the same time as the view she saw at the restaurant.

After eating, she decided to continue roaming around in the place, taking pictures. When she passed by an orphanage, which made her stop in her walk and watch the children playing around, Aliana took photos of the children when she saw a little girl fall on the ground. Her playmates are just laughing at her. Aliana walks toward the little girl and smiley bends her knees, making the little girl look at her.

"Are you alright?" she kindly asked, and the little girl just nodded to her, but she saw tears in her eyes.

Aliana helps the little girl stand up and clean some dirt she gets when she falls on the ground.

"You should be careful next time," she said to the girl.

" I will, thank you, Miss." the girl said that made Aliana smile.

"What's your name? I'm Aliana."

Aliana introduced herself to the little girl, who wiped up her tears and began to smile at her.

"My name is Lucille Peterson, and I am seven years old."

Aliana finds Lucille an adorable girl, and she looks like a porcelain doll with her blonde hair and bluish eyes. Aliana wants to have a little sister, but her parents decided not to have one again. That's why Aliana can't help, but to adores Lucille and her cuteness.

"Nice meeting you Lucille, you lived here?" she asked, and Lucille immediately nodded to her.

"Yes, I don't have parents, that why I'm here. People here are kind, and I played a lot with my friends who lived here too."

Aliana looked up to the orphanage she was in, and she couldn't help but feel wrong about Lucille and the other kids she saw playing on the ground of the small orphanage.

"Lucille!"

Aliana saw someone hurriedly walking to them, a nun who's worried is written on her face.

"I told you not to play outside, did I? It's not good for tour health to get tired." the nun said that made Lucille sad.

"I'm sorry, mother serene. I just want to play with the others."Lucille sadly answered when the nun looked up to Aliana.

"Oh? Hi, I'm Aliana Miller. I was passing by when I saw her fell on the ground, I'm a tourist here." she introduces herself so the nun would not think negative things about her.

"Hello, I'm one of the nuns working here. Thank you for helping Lucille. Do you want to go inside?" The nun offer her that she should decline but Lucille hold her in her wrist that made her gaze fall on the little girl.

"Come with us, I'll show you my collections of puzzle pieces." Said, Lucille

Aliana did nothing but accept the invitation of Lucille.

"Okay!" Lucille excitedly exclaimed before running to go inside the orphanage.

"Don't run Lucille!" the nun reminds Lucille but she's already inside the orphanage.

" You said that you're a tourist here, it's rare for a tourist like you to pass by in this area." the nun asked her

"I was taking pictures when I pass by here, this was a very beautiful home for those children."

"All of the children here were abandoned by their parents, one of them was Lucille. Her parents left her here because they can't provide the medication that Lucille needed."

Aliana frowns her forehead at the last statement the nun was telling to her.

"Medication?"

"Yes, She had a brain tumor, stage four."

Aliana stop walking when she heard the illness of Lucille, an angelic girl with an angelic face who was suffering an illness that can take her life.
