Alaenor was supposedly joining her two best friends named Danerie and Helena in AU, Ateneum University. The popular prestigious school of their town, her dream school. But her drunkard Auntie declined and told her she’s more suited on Havenport which is the complete opposite of AU. There, she’ll meet Javi. The ruler of the campus. The former king of her dream school. And their world will intertwine when Javi, out of the blue, shows his interest in Alaenor. She’s an outcast of their school, she’s like no one. Aniwanag ng Liwanag, is a novel that states the difference of color, stand and beliefs of many people. And the power of religiousness that holds the lives of many people, that sometimes we use it for justifying, that having faith in God brings us to light and removes us from darkness. "I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life, Jesus again claims to be light of the world" says in John 9:5. The question is, Is God really helping us? Wes doesn’t believe in hope, while Hope is a child of God and would give people words of wisdom that leads them to hope. But the world turns upside down, the one who believes is now deprived and has lost hope; the one who lacks hope is now full of it. Is there a chance for them to meet again? Or the hope that has been lost will never find the way back.
