CHAPTER 28: THE ATLANTIS

Leito was sitting in his swivel chair while scanning the books on the shelves. He could not fathom why humans spend time producing such worthless books. He took one book and opened it. He tried reading it but he got bored. "Lame. This is just a piece of trash." A black smoke appeared from his hand, and the book slowly turned into dust. "Atlantis' experts developed modern ways of learning. These books are all trash." He rubbed his forehead. "Why did Desiree buy these books anyway? Such a waste!" He stood up and walked towards the window. He pulled the curtain to see the busy street outside his mansion. "Useless cars. We can teleport, some can fly, some can run at the speed of light, and some can time warp using portals. Humans are wasting energy and polluting the whole world." He chuckled. "Why do gods protect these insects?" He returned to his swivel chair. "I will turn this world into a new Atlantis." He opened the drawer and took out a medium-sized golden box. He opened it to see the blue Atlantis stone. It was shining and gleaming with pure blue energy. He placed his hand on top of it and absorbed the energy it released. He could feel the power it was sending him. "Atlantis is more than just a high technology and advanced knowledge. We learned the use of metaphysics and natural sources of energy. We are more powerful than the gods." He made an evil laugh. "I can't wait to see Zeus kneeling in front of me, begging me for mercy." He closed the box and placed it back inside the drawer of his office table. He leaned on his chair, remembering how his hatred started. He recalled the face of Apollimi. His expression changed. His eyes gleamed with hatred, and his teeth clenched. "I will prove to my mother that I should not be neglected. Humans will all die in my hands one day, together with the Olympians." His mother never acknowledged him, and that made him hate her the most. "I am not a worthless s**t, mother. I will prove that to you." His mind drifted away back to Atlantis. Atlanteans inherited the powers of the gods, coming from the lineage of the first king, Atlas, the son of Poseidon. It was also believed that some galactic entities stimulated Atlanteans with a specific type of energy to speed up their progress and live longer like the immortal gods of Olympus. Atlanteans learned other forms of powers through metaphysics, and their knowledge was exceptional. They inherited god-like powers, though there is a cool-down period between the usage of such powers. They also use Atlantean crystals to incorporate their powers and to become stronger. These crystals received energy from a variety of sources, including water, fire, sun and moon. They also learned how to use black magic and the art of witchcraft. The main goal of The Kingdom of Atlantis was to create an advanced civilization. An advanced civilization is composed of individuals who have reached a higher level of awareness and consciousness throughout the study and practice of their education program. The people also developed skills in learning the past, understanding the present and can foresee the future. Because of the progress and highly advanced technology of Atlantis, they started conquering other lands and mating with other races. They want to rule the world and become superior to other races, including the gods. The gods became wary of this, and the main reason why Zeus punished the entire continent was because of their greed and immorality. He sunk their continent into the deepest part of the ocean. Thunder and lightning spread through the sky, and the ocean waves went five meters high. The ground was shaking and the walls were breaking. The Atlanteans were running away, trying to escape from the wrath of Greek gods and goddesses, especially Zeus who became wary of the Atlanteans' greed and immorality. None of them could get out from the Atlantean realm using their powers, the entire land covered with Zeus' powerful barrier. The continent started sinking deep into the ocean, away from the human realm. Only screams could be heard from them. "You have all vanished from the surface of the Earth. You will live separately in your realm," Zeus said these words as a curse to the Atlantean race. His voice echoed in the entire sky. "No Atlantean could get out of Atlantis. Taste my wrath." Though Atlantis was engulfed with a strong barrier so no one could get out of the gods' punishment, without the knowledge of everyone, the continent and its people continued to live deep down the ocean. Although a splinter species of baseline was humanity, Atlanteans have evolved over the centuries and have adapted the lives of aquatic animals, even acquiring aquatic physical looks, but they can transform into human appearance using Atlantean crystals and metaphysics. After several years of studying portals and dimensions, they learned how to pass through the portal and blend in with humans, but they had to do it discreetly to avoid gods' radar. He grew up with his father, an ordinary Atlantean. Leito's mother, the Atlantean goddess Apollimi, only visited his father a few times and she never looked at him as her son. The Atlantean goddess never acknowledged him, and he hated her for that. She only saw him as a test subject. According to his father, he was born through metaphysics, the only science capable of inquiring beyond physical and human science. In short, he was part of an experiment, and he now lives more than five hundred years. "Mother," he called her one time when he saw her coming out of their house. She just continued walking and did not even throw him a glance. "Mother, I am Leito, your son." The goddess stopped walking. "You are just part of an experiment, nothing more." She continued walking and suddenly disappeared from his eyes. He hated her so much that he even wanted to kill her. "One day, I will prove to you that I am not just an experiment. I am your son, the son that you never claimed." "Now is the time for Atlantis to rise again." He smirked. "It has been our long goal and the time has finally come." "My Lord," Desiree called his attention, which made him return to the present. "Yes, Desiree?" He barely looked at her. He just waited for her to speak up. He didn't want any distraction. "One of our men saw a video of a kid who was in the k********g scene before Robert disappeared." She placed his phone on the table for Leito to watch the video clip. "He is exceptional in archery, and they found out that the kid is intelligent. He graduated valedictorian from the same school that fatty boy attended. He was also at the zoo that day. He might be the king's son." Leito's blood boiled when he saw the video of the child. "He is probably the king's child. Good-They are good-looking, the Olympian gods, intelligent, and capable of doing things that stupid humans can't. How long have you been hiding, my prince?" "We will conduct more investigation to make sure he is the king's child." She took the phone back and kept it in her pocket. "I already sent a spy to his school, to keep an eye on him." "I am almost one hundred per cent sure he is the one, but to avoid the same mistake in the past, monitor him." He rubbed his chin using his thumb and index fingers. "Keep an eye on him. Monitor his movements, investigate his background and do not take your eyes off him even for a minute. Find out who has been with that kid." "We will, My Lord. I will go now to give new instructions to our men to watch out for this kid." Desiree bowed before leaving the study room. "The first king's son will fulfil his duties like what the prophecy said. The fate has turned the table, the mighty one will fall; a young man has been ordained, to end the king of gods one day." He made an evil laugh, imagining the fall of great Zeus and other Olympian gods. "I can't wait for that day. The fall of Olympus and the rising of Atlantis!"
