He flexed his hands. They were taut. Brian left only a little room for him to move. The same went for his legs. Evan imagined how he looked like, stretched on his back, naked, spread-eagled, his wrists and ankles secured to the four posts of Brian’s bed. He knew he wouldn’t be able to escape—not as though he wanted to—still he couldn’t stop himself from twisting in his bonds. He wasn’t worried, though. The padded cuffs were tight but not biting into his skin. He was totally safe, but where the hell did Brian go? “Cursing isn’t going to help you.” Evan jerked and clamped his mouth shut at once.
