Looking for Alexa

Chapter two scared

Alpha Nick's P.O.V 

  My Beta and I were running through the woods when we heard the loudest and saddest howl ever. My ears perked up and my Beta and I quickly ran towards where the howl was coming from. We ran for what seemed like a few miles, until we came across what looked like a circus. All the lights were turned off and everything was closed down for the night, we walked around, careful not to make a sound and that's when we saw it. A small cage that was holding a woman inside of it, she looked like she was near death. The woman was battered, bruised and there were burn marks on her leg, she looked so thin and cold, but the curtain she had wasn't helping keep out the cold wind.

  "Why would someone put her in there? We need to get her out, before he wakes up. She needs our help Alpha, didn't you hear her howl?" My Beta said, breaking the bars on the cage. I walked in and when I picked her up, she squeezed her eyes shut, but she made no sound. She was so scared and her body was shivering from the cold, I took her from the cage and started to run to my pack house, with my Beta following closely behind me. We made it to the pack doctors, when she started to cry and struggle in my arms. 

  "Please, let me go, please. He will find you." The woman cried hysterically, I managed to get her inside and lie her down on a bed, but she was still struggling and trying to leave.

  "How would he find us? We are hidden well?" I asked her, trying to hold her down so that she wouldn't hurt herself. She pointed to the back of her neck and my eyes went wide, as I saw a red light blinking under her skin.

  "He put a chip in you to track where you were?" I asked her, shocked by what I was seeing and she weakly nodded her head.

  "Okay, this is going to hurt, but I need to get that out of you." I said, softly to her and she nodded. I held out my hand and let my nail grow into a claw, I cut around her neck, removing the chip. I looked at it for a few seconds and then I crushed it in my hand. I looked at the collar around her neck and hoped that it wasn't what I thought it was.

  "What is that?" I asked her, slightly lifting the collar and she looked down ashamed.

  "It's a shock collar, if I tried to run away while being hunted, he could shock me and I would be caught." She answered, I felt my anger reaching to the surface, I growled and with one cut the collar was off her neck. 

  Alexa's P.O.V 

  I looked down at the collar laying on the floor and my hands immediately went up to my neck, feeling it for the first time in years and It felt good. I felt where he cut the chip from the back of my neck and the only thing I could do was look at this man with tears in my eyes, but what did he want in return for helping me.

  "Thank you, I don't know how I am going to repay you for this, but he's still out there and he will find a way to find me." I whispered, my throat was hoarse from all the crying and screaming i had done.the Alpha looked at her, 

  "Listen to me carefully, I will not let him find or hurt you ever again. It's going to be Okay. How long were you kept in that cage?" The man asked me, but I just shook my head and looked down.

  "I don't remember, it's been so long." I replied, and the man looked at me with pity filled eyes.

  "Do you know your name?" The other man asked me and I nodded.

  "Yes, it's Alexa, but I don't remember my last name or if I even have one." I said, still looking down at the floor.

  "Well Alexa, it's nice to meet you. My name is Alpha Nick and this is my Beta, Tommy." Alpha Nick said, putting his hand on his chest and gesturing to the man that stood slightly behind him.

  "Do you remember your mother and father? Do you know what they're names are?" Alpha Nick asked me again and I nodded.

  "I only remember that they're first names are Trish and David." I replied and he just nodded.

  "Honey I know who they are and they have been looking for you for years." Alpha Nick said and I was shocked. He knew my parents and they were still looking for me. Oh my God this is amazing. 

  "Really? They have been looking for me?" I repeated, my eyes going wide. He nodded and then there was a knock at the door, making me jump and hide under the table in fear and a man walked in wearing a long white coat.

  "It's okay Alexa, this is the pack doctor and he's here to help you. I promise he's not going to hurt you, he needs to take a look at your injuries, to make them better." Alpha Nick said, kneeling down so that he was at my level. After a whole and a lot of persuasion, I finally came out from under the table and sat back down on the bed.

  "It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you, but I need to take a look at your injuries. Is that okay?" The doctor said, taking a step towards me and I flinched, grabbing hold of the covers and pulling them up towards my chin. I looked around the clean white room and my eyes landed on Alpha Nick, he gave me a warm smile and it helped reassure me. I instantly felt myself relax when he smiled at me.

  "It's okay Alexa. Can I take a look at your neck first?" The doctor said and I cautiously nodded at him. The doctor moved slowly, as to not startle me and looked at the back of my neck.

  "Okay Alexa, I'm going to have to put some stitches in your neck to help it heal. Is that okay with you?" The doctor said, I moved my hand to the back of my neck and nodded for him to continue. He stitched up my neck and it hurt, but nowhere near as bad as the shock collar or the beatings I endured over the years. The doctor put a dressing on my neck and slowly backed away from me.

  "I'm all finished Alexa, you did brilliant." The doctor said, as he slowly turned around and left. I started to yawn and what with everything that had happened, I never realised just how tired I really was. The Alpha looked at me and gave me one of his warm smiles again, I felt my eyes starting to close, but I didn't want to sleep. I was too scared to sleep. 

  "Do you want me to show you to your room?" Alpha Nick said and I was speechless, I get to have a room and not a cage. I nodded yes and he went to help me down from the bed, but I flinched and he backed away, holding his hands up in the air. I got down from the bed and he gestured for me to follow him and his Beta Tommy, so I waited for them to walk a bit and then started to follow them. I followed them to a huge house and up the stairs to the room, they opened the door for me, switched on the light and stood back, allowing me to enter. I walked in and looked around at all the pretty things in the room, a bed with real pillows and blankets.

  "Come on, let's get you a shower and some clean clothes. I'll get someone to help you, okay?" Alpha Nick said and I ran to the corner of the room, crying.

  Alpha Nick's P.O.V

  A shock collar, a chip implanted in her neck, what else did they do to her? It's a good job she howled when she did otherwise I don't think anyone would ever have found her and god only knows what she would have had to go through then.

  "Are they going to watch me shower again?" Alexa said and I looked at her with complete and utter confusion.

  "Why would they watch you shower?" I asked her and once more she looked down to the floor. 

  "That's what my master did when he let me take my monthly bath." Alexa murmured, but I heard it and that's when I realised just a fraction of what she must have gone through. 

  "No sweetheart, no one is going to watch you shower. They will only help you when you are done showering." I replied, I could feel my anger starting to bubble up again, I wasn't angry at her, I was angry at those bastards and everything they did to her. Just then, the female Omega I had asked for came into the room. 

  "Alexa, this is Nicky. She's going to help you okay." I said and Alexa warily nodded.

  "Nicky, this is Alexa, she's going to take a shower and only after she is done do you help her." I said and the Omega gave me a look of confusion, probably wondering why I would say that, but I needed to say it out loud for Alexa's sake. The Omega bowed to me and seeing the state that Alexa was in, walked slowly towards her.

  "Hello Alexa, it's nice to meet you. I'm here to help you. Why don't you go and take a shower and I'll sort you some clothes out and wait in here, okay?" Sally said, Alexa nodded and looked around the room.

  "Oh sorry, the bathroom is through that door there." Nicky said, pointing to the door, but Alexa just stood there.

  "It's okay, see." Nicky said and opened the bathroom door, turning on the light. Alexa walked forward and nodded, walking into the bathroom. 

  "Nicky, take care of her, I'm going to my office. If anything happens or she needs me, mind-link me straight away." I said to Nicky and she bowed to me. I walked out of her room and shut the door behind me, walking backing to my office with Beta Tommy.

  "What are you going to do?" Beta Tommy asked me and I just flopped down in my chair, holding my head in my hands.

  "First things first, I need to phone David and Trish, let them know that we have found Alexa." I said, trying to plan out how that conversation was going to go. My Beta nodded and took a seat on the other side of my desk, I found their number out and dialed it, the phone only rang a few times before it was answered.

  "Hello." David answered the phone, I recognised his voice immediately.

  "Hello David, it's Alpha Nick. I have some good news for you, we found Alexa and she's now here at my pack house." I replied, I could hear him shouting for Trish and telling her that Alexa had been found,  I could hear the happiness and relief in their voices. 

  "Thank you, thank you so much. We're on our way and will be at your territory in a few days." David replied, after a few minutes of trying to compose himself.

  "I'll let her know. I'll see you soon." I said and ended the phone call. I sighed and my Beta looked at me confused.

  "Well, that went well, so what's wrong with you?" Beta Tommy asked me and I sighed again and rubbed my face.

  "Yes it went well and they are going to be here in a few days, but how do I tell them that Alexa is my mate?" I confessed and my Beta's jaw dropped, looking at me shocked.
