Looking for Alexa

Chapter 22

Rachel's P.O.V 

  I looked up to the sky and the heavens opened up, rain started pouring down, becoming heavier and harder as it beat down on the ground.

  "ALEXA! MAKE IT STOP RAINING!" I screamed, shaking her shoulders. It took a while, but I finally managed to snap her out of it, the wind died down and the rain suddenly stopped.

  Alexa's P.O.V 

  I didn't think I was able to do it, to make it windy, but when I was concentrating I pushed all of my anger and sadness into it. It wasn't until I felt Rachel shaking and screaming at me, that I realised what I had done. Not only had I made it windy, I had also made it rain and when Rachel snapped me out of my concentration, it all stopped.

  "Well, we know you have wind and water, but Trish your daughter is strong and I would hate to see what she could do with fire." Rachel said, ringing her top out.

  "Alexa, can you set something on fire, try blasting that log over by the lake there." My mom said, turning to me and pointing to the log. I was a little confused on how to do it, so I decided to just simply say it and hope that it worked.

  "Make the log explode!" I said out loud, holding my hand out in front of me. It took about four seconds, then suddenly there was a loud explosion and the log was a blazing sight. Everyone came out of the pack house, they were all freaked out from the explosion and stood back watching. I looked back and saw that Nick, David, Trish and Rachel were all looking on in amazement. The fire finally burnt down and I felt drained, I kneeled on the ground, trying to catch my breath. When I felt ok, I stood back up, but my Nick looked at me shocked. 

  "Your hair, your eyes, they are different. Your hair is longer." Nick said, looking at me in awe.

  "Alright let's stop for today, this took a lot out of you and you look tired." Rachel said and I just stood there. I could hear something strange, like it was trying to talk to me, I shook it off and then the voice became louder and clearer, but it looked like I was the only one that could hear it. 

  "Mom, the forest speaks to me, they tell me that I'm in danger to be safe and to be with my mate." I said, mind-linking my mom.

  "It's not the forest honey, it's the fairies. They are talking to you, I know it sounds more like singing. I hear them to, but no one else can. It's ok, they are just trying to keep us safe." My mom mind-linked back, I nodded and turned back to Rachel.

  "Are you hungry?" I asked her and she nodded yes 

  "Come have lunch with us." I said, gesturing for her to follow us.

  Rachel's P.O.V

  I stood there listening to Trish  and Alexa mind-linking each other, but they didn't know that I could hear them and I will have to let Alexa know. I walked with them back to the pack house to eat lunch, when I started to smell this amazing scent, lemon and grape. I turned around and saw the guard Blue, he had a mixture of yellow and gold eyes, he took off his helmet and I saw that he had long brown hair. 

  "Mate. Mine." Blue said, those were the only two words he said and it made my legs turn to jelly. I didn't come here for this, I wasn't ready for another mate, especially not after my other mate got killed by rogues years ago. I sighed and ran into the house, not ready to face or deal with this just yet.

  Blue's P.O.V

  I smelled an amazing scent, roses and apples, I walked forward and saw the most amazingly beautiful woman I had ever seen. Two words slipped out of my mouth and she instantly ran inside, in a way fleeing from me. Did I scare her? Was she already mated? Did she not like me?

  "Come on in Blue, something tells me you have your hands full." Nick said, I followed them inside and sat down at the table, Rachel hurried to eat and then quickly excused herself, walking out towards the trainers house. I sighed, but I was determined to find out what was wrong. I had watched her from afar for some time, but once I got close enough, I knew right away that my wolf was right, she was my mate. 

  Alexa's P.O.V 

  I saw what had happened with Rachel and Blue, I saw how she reacted and it confused me. Nick and my mom had explained everything to me about mates and the bond they feel and from what I understand and felt about it, this was weird and her reaction was completely out of character for someone who just found their mate. I will try speaking to her tomorrow and ask her what happened, but tonight I have other plans for my own mate.
