[A few days earlier]
Where is your little wolf girl at? I was just starting to like her, is she avoiding me?” Ifrit asked, as he chuckled, when Dagon glared at him.
“Just stay away from her, she has no interest in talking to you right now,” Dagon warned him. Before, he sat down in one of the chairs.
“Fine, then maybe we should just talk about how the two of us can benefit each other, then,” he stated, as he leaned back with his cigarette.
“I knew you wanted something more. What is it now?”
“I have some business deal and could really use your help. You have always been the more.. Persuasive type, the one taking charge you know. I’m more the fun guy, so I like you to help me with that!”
“And you can’t do it yourself?”
“I could but.. I don’t really want to, you know, and besides, what fun is there in being the oldest if you can’t use it to boss your baby brother around?” he grinned.
“Fine, what do you need from me now?” Dagon growled.
“I knew you would do it, and to show my gratitude, I have bought you this,” Ifrit stated as he handed him one of the newest phones on the market.
“Right, I guess it’s kinda big since you’re giving me this,” Dagon stated suspiciously.
“What I need you to do is finish a deal for me. You see, these guys are a real pain in my ass, they are pretty old minded, so I’m not really the man to do it. So to speak, they have something of great value up for sale, and they don’t really wanna sell it to just anyone, so you will do me the honor of speaking to them and set up a meeting with them, you think you can do that?” Ifrit asked as he leaned back in his seat.
“Of course I can do it, so who are these people you’re talking about?” Dagon asked, as he placed his feet on the table.
“It’s more like an organization – The BDS.” Ifrit revealed, which made Dagon knot his eyebrows.
“Why do you wanna do business with them?” Dagon blurred out, as a careless shrug met him.
“They have something I want very much..” he stated without further explanation.
[A few days later]
Dagon was on the phone with the head of this organization he needed to make a deal with.
After using days to settle even a simple phone call meeting, he finally got it.
“I’m going to take a bath, Dagon,” Bella stated, as he turned to her.
“Two seconds.” He spoke as he looked at her, as he placed the phone against his chest and told her where to find a bathrobe and a towel, when he had placed a kiss on her lips.
He really didn’t like letting her go alone, but this deal was important, and he didn’t wanna waste anymore time on it. As Bella left the room, he put the phone back to his ear and spoke.
“I’m back, so when does this meeting fit you?” Dagon spoke coldly.”
“If you really are so obsessed with getting this meeting, then meet me at the devil’s den in an hour!” He replied.
“You mean tonight?” He asked, as he glanced in the direction Bella went, with a frown.
“Well, if you're not up for it, we can just leave it, and I’ll find someone else to do business with.”
“No wait.. I’ll be there!” Dagon stated.
“Great, then see you in an hour.” He heard from the other end of the line, before it went dead.
He really didn’t wanna leave Bella like that, not without talking to her first, but he needed to go immediately if he was going to make it on time, ‘cause he already knew this guy wouldn’t even spare a single minute if he was so much as one second late.
So, he quickly wrote a small note to make sure Bella knew he would be gone for a few hours, and then he hurried out the door. When he was settled in the car and drove off, Ifrit called him, so he picked it up.
“What?” He asked.
“How’s the business deal going, any progress?” Ifrit asked.
“Yes, I’m on my way to meet with them at some place called the devil’s den. It will probably take a while, but I’m sure I can finish this deal tonight.” He stated confident, as he continued driving down the road.
“Great, I’m glad to hear that. Call me when you're done. I wanna hear how it went,” Ifrit stated, as Dagon put the phone down.
This would be the one and only deal he would make for his brother. He knew Ifrit was working with some shady people.
He had done that as well, but why he was so eager to do business with these guys was outside his comprehension.
He had met them occasionally, at the black-marked’s auction house and one time when he and Armaros had taken part in some meeting with Damon and his men, a year back or so.
They were just as bad as Damon, and were known for their violence and trail of death everywhere they went. That was why they were called the BDS – the Bloódy Demon Society.
“Dagon! Nice to meet you in person,” he greeted Dagon.
“The honor is all mine, Pithius,” he replied as they sat down.
“I must say the early rumors about you didn’t suit one of the most acknowledged werewolf hunters.. I mean, we heard how you gave it up to settle down in some tribe, but we dug a little into your history, and when I heard how you betrayed these werewolves, I must say, I, personally, was impressed..” he stated. Of course, Dagon knew it was possible they would try to dig something up about him, and for once, it might have been a good thing people believed he had done those things, or he could, might as well be dead right that moment.
“I mean, taking the Alpha’s niece from right under their noses. That’s quite a daring move, so of course, I needed to meet you in person.”
“So, all that stalling, was just you playing “hard to get” or what?” Dagon asked, as Pithius tilted his head slightly.
“You know what they say, if everyone can get it, what is the value then?” He stated as he snapped his fingers and one of his men came with two glasses of scotch.
“I get it, value is everything.. Now can I see it?” Dagon asked, as he didn’t wanna admit that he didn’t even know what it was he was there to buy.
“Sure! Tannin, get the package, please!” He called, as one of his men went to the next door room, and returned several minutes later with a small suitcase in metal.
“Here it is!” He stated as he placed a key in the lock to unlock it and then opened the lit before turning it towards Dagon. What he saw was not what he expected at all.
“This is blood, right?” He asked, as Pithius nodded.
“But as you know, it’s not just any type of blood..” he explained as he picked it up.
“It’s said to be from a real hybrid,” he stated, making Dagon frown.
“And how do I know this isn’t just a fake?” Dagon asked, making Pithius scoff.
“I knew you probably would ask that, so I took my time to collect a single drop from it, to show you how it works.” He replied before he snapped his fingers once again, and a woman walked over to him. Dagon already knew she was human just from looking at her.
“Jenny, give me your hand, please.” Pithius spoke, and she did without hesitation before he cut a deep wound in her wrist and immediately blood began pouring out.
From what Dagon knew about humans, he knew she would probably bleed out in a short amount of time.
“Now look at this,” he added, as he took the drop of blood and placed it on the girl’s lips, as she licked it off, and shortly after the wound started closing.
“Pretty cool, right?” Pithius asked, as Dagon had raised both his eyebrows in surprise.
“It is.. and what is the marked price? It can’t possibly be cheap.” He asked hesitantly.
“You’re right, it’s not. First I wasn’t especially pleased to sell this, as there were only very few specimens, but now I have made a deal with the one providing it, so I can get you more if you’re gonna need it,” he stated with a grin, as he pulled the girl up on his lap.
“Who is the provider? Someone I know?” Dagon asked, not sure if this was what he thought it was.
“I think you do.. I got it from Mr. Mortem, and he has gotten his hands on this hybrid, but you don’t have it from me, and don’t even try to go through him, okay?” Pithius warned Dagon, as his face turned hard as stone.
“Of course not, I was just curious..” Dagon dismissed, as couldn’t believe what he just heard.
Had Damon kidnapped Stella, or was there another hybrid out there?
“So, how much for this?” He asked as to change the subject, not to raise any suspicion, before he took a sip of the scotch. Pithius immediately turned more calm again, as he picked up his glass and took a sip.
“Normally, I would have said 250K, but for you, let’s say 1-80, how does that sound?” He replied, as Dagon cleared his throat. He wouldn’t have done it himself, but this was Ifrit’s money, so he didn’t really give a s**t.
“Fine, you have a deal, 180K!” He spoke, as he got up from his seat and pulled out his hand, making Pithius take it, while a smirk came across his face.
“Great! It was great doing business with you, Dagon,” Pithius spoke, as one of his men came over with this white box.
Dagon already knew what it was, and pulled out the card he had got from Ifrit, and scanned it on the box. It was a new way of dealing with money transactions outside the bank industry, and it worked amazingly.
There were no traces of who owned these accounts and the boxes were untraceable. Hardly any people even knew they existed.
“Now let’s make a toast to this successful deal, shall we?” Pithius asked, as he raised his glass, and Dagon took his own, and raised it too.
“Cheers, then.” Dagon spoke, as they clinged the glasses together and bottomed the content, before he placed the glass back on the table.
Then Tannin handed the blood sample to Dagon, who then headed for the door, as he left the place.
When he jumped into the car, he called Ifrit, but he wasn’t picking up, which made Dagon roll his eyes in annoyance.
“Assholè! Asks me to call, and then he can’t even answer the damn phone!” Dagon growled for himself, before he drove off.
[..]
“What do we have here?” Dev asked, while he observed Ezra coming towards him with Stella by his side.
Her hands were bound together with a robe that he was holding the other end of, while she was keeping her eyes on the ground.
Ezra made her pause, right in front of Dev, before he spoke.
“You can tell Damon, that I got the hybrid for him, so he can let my sister go now!” Ezra stated, as he pulled Stella’s arm, so she stumbled a few steps forward.
Dev observed her for a moment as he huffed.
“All that trouble for this girl, she doesn’t look like much to me, though she has a pretty face,” he spoke, as he placed a hand on her chin, so she was looking at him.
“I know, but you should probably keep your hands to yourself,” Ezra warned him, as Dev raised an eyebrow.
“Really? And why’s that, does she have a tendency to bite?” He scoffed, as he took a firm hold on her face, while he continued to observe her.
“It’s not that.. Damon specifically told me, he would cut the díck of anyone who so much as dare to even think of touching her,” Ezra shrugged, as Dev quickly pulled his hand away.
“I’ll get him,” he grumbled lowly.
A few moments later, Dev returned. He was walking a few feet behind Damon, who for once actually seemed pleased.
“You returned quicker than I anticipated, and nice to see you again, Stella.” He cheered, but Stella didn’t answer him.
“What’s wrong, have you lost your tongue?” He asked as he took hold of her face, but she just glared at him.
“Still got that spark in your eyes I see, let’s see how long it takes before I make it disappear for good,” he grinned, as he pulled her even closer, making her heartbeat start racing.
“You’re scared.. Good! You should be.. For a long time, I was actually wondering if I should just kill you for double-crossing me that day, and almost killing Damien, but the ends justify the means, I guess.” He stated, as Stella’s eyes widened.
“Damien is alive?” Stella blurred out aghast, as she tried pulling away, but he wasn’t letting go, instead his hold became solidified, almost bruising.
“Thanks to your blood specimens, yes, your blood’s ability to heal is quite unique and fascinating, but since you have the best from both worlds, it probably serves its purpose justice,” he explained.
“And for you, my dear friend..” Damon spoke, as his eyes strayed shortly to Ezra.
“You have just given me a reason to keep you and that filthy witch, you call your sister, alive, good job!” He stated, as he took a hold on the rope, but Ezra didn’t let go.
“I wanna see my sister,” Ezra stated coldly.
“And you will, when I decide it, so don’t push your luck, witch!” Damon warned him, as Ezra glanced shortly at Stella before letting go of the rope.
“Smart choice, let’s go,” he ordered, before he pulled the rope, which made Stella stumble forward.
She focused on Ezra, who gave a small nod, as he mouthed:
“I’ll find you.”
[Flashback]
“You weren’t supposed to see that,” he hissed, as he covered his face with his hands and took a deep breath before walking towards me.
“Please, Ezra, don’t do this,” I begged, as I backed in to the bathroom door.
“I’m not gonna hurt you, okay, I just want your help. I risked everything to give you your memories back. Couldn’t you do this one thing for me?” He implored, as he took a hold on my hand.
“I can’t leave my sister to that fate. I do understand why you wouldn’t trust me, but if I really wanted to, I could just have forced you to do it, but I don’t wish for you to end up in trouble, I just, need you as a distraction.” He continued to explain, as he clearly was begging me to do it, and I couldn’t help but feel bad for him.
“But if it goes wrong, we're all gonna be stuck there, or worse.” I spoke.
“I promise, I won’t let anything happen to you. As soon as my sister is out of harms way, he has nothing on me, and I’ll get you far away from him.” Ezra assured me.
I observed him for a while, as he actually seemed genuine about his promise.
“Okay, I’ll help you get your sister back,” I responded with a small sigh, as relief covered his face.
“Thank you for doing this, we just have to make this look real. No one else can know, which means I unfortunately have to make Armaros believe I actually am k********g you,” he revealed as he picked up a small bag from his pocket.
“No, wait! I can’t go without him knowing what’s going on, he will just blame himself.” I tried to reason in a panicked tone, while he pulled out some white powder from the bag.
“Trust me, it’s best this way,” he stated before he blew the powder into my face and everything became dark.
[End of Flashback]
[Stella’s POV]
I was pulled back to the present, when Damon suddenly pushed me against the wall.
“I must admit, you are quite stunning. If I hadn’t already promised that Damien could be first, I could definitely have done it myself..” he trailed off, making me wrinkle my nose in disgust.
“You are a horrible person!” I snapped as he just smirked.
“Well, I guess it’s a good thing I don’t care what you think,” He replied, before he continued to pull me in to a room and made me sit down on a chair, before he cuffed my hands to the table.
“What are you doing?” I asked, confused, as he walked to a cabinet in the corner.
“Oh, not much, I’ll just need some more of your blood, nothing else..” he stated as he picked out several items looking like I had just entered a medical check.
“Normally, I use this room for tapping blood from our human subjects, as selling blood for vampires is pretty warm on the marked too..” he explained, while he began placing the things in order.
“But it’s nothing compared to yours..” he trailed off as he looked at me with a mischievous grin.
“You probably don’t know this, but your blood is in high demand, on the black marked at the moment, and generous as I am, I like to share what I have.. For the right price, of course..” he stated, as he sat down and started to sanitize the area on my hand, before placing an IV in it, making me frown.
“So, you just plan to draw blood from me whenever it fits you?” I asked in disbelief, before took a hold on my face again.
“If I want to drain every last ounce of blood in your body I could, and you wouldn’t be able to stop it..” he spoke as he let go and placed an infusion line at the IV and a blood-bag at the other end of it, as he slowly began to tap my blood.
“..But, that would be a small-minded solution,”
After some time, I started to feel lightheaded as he began to speak once again.
“You see, I rather have endless amounts of it, by just keeping you alive and draining just enough blood for your vitals to still function normally,” he added as he finally turned off the IV, while he examined the bloodbag for a moment, before looking at me again.
“You are sick!” I hissed, as I started feeling nauseous.
“I guess it’s you who is sick.. Literally speaking,” he added just as I started to throw up.
He then removed the line from the IV, before he put some bandage around my hand to cover it up.
When I finally stopped vomiting, he unlocked my hands and pulled me up, as he held me against him, so I wouldn’t fall.
“Get that mess cleaned up!” Damon stated to one of his men, as he continued to pull me along.
I was feeling dizzy, so I almost couldn’t walk straight, and I clearly had no idea where we were going. He then made me sit down on a mattress.
“Get some sleep! I’ll provide you with some food and water later, ‘cause tomorrow I will need some more samples,” he spoke, before he walked out and locked the door behind him.
“You better hurry, Ezra,” I mumbled to myself, before I let myself drop on the mattress, and immediately passed out.
