[..] “What are we gonna do with him?” Drake asked, as Chase shook his head. “He’s one of Armaros’ men, I have to talk to him first, though I most of all just wanna go down there and kill him, but I need a why, but he refuses to speak to anyone, he just sits there like some fücking arrogant idiot.” Chase growled. “I can try if you’d like?” Astra suggested, as Chase glanced up. “Are you sure about that?” He asked, as Astra grinned. “Of course, getting people to talk is my specialty, give me a couple of hours alone with him, with no interruption, and I’m sure I can get something out of him.” He stated, as Chase nodded. “Very well, I will give you three hours, no one is allowed down there besides you, and you report back to me right after.” Chase stated as Astra nodded. “Yes Alpha!” He replied, as he left the room. “You're really letting Astra use force to get him to talk?” Charlie asked in disbelief, as Chase didn’t blink. “Armaros has done the same countless times, so I guess we can do it too, don’t you think?” Chase stated coldly. “But then we aren’t better than them,” Charlie defended, as Chase frowned. “I don’t give a shít right now, he ràped my niece and if he thinks he can get away with that, he’s greatly mistaken. At least I’m not killing him, yet.” He stated. ---- As a knock fell on the door, Chase immediately turned to it. He was expecting Astra’s return, but instead it was Ace that opened the door. It had been almost three hours and Astra still hadn’t returned. He had sent a mind-link to Landon ten minutes earlier to check up on him, but there was still no news. “Hey Ace, what’s up? He spoke, as he turned his attention to him. “You haven’t seen Bella, have you?” He asked, as Chase shook his head. “No, not today, isn’t she with Kyan, Jaze or Vicca?” He asked, as Ace shook his head. “No, she told me earlier she was tired and wanted to be alone in her room, but when I went to check up on her, she wasn’t there.. You know how restless she has been the last few days, so I’m quite worried about her,” Ace explained, but Chase could feel the anger radiating from him, though he tried to hide it. “I know how you’re feeling, but I promise you he will get punished for this,” Chase promised as he placed a hand on his shoulder, but then the door suddenly flew up, and both of them turned to it. “Chase! We have a big problem.” Landon blurred out, as he walked up to them, as his hands were completely covered in blood. “What happened?” He asked, as he frowned at the sight. “It’s Astra, he’s dead, and Dagon is gone,” he spoke, making both of them stare at him stunned. “How the hell did that happen?” Chase growled, as Landon shook his head. “It seems like he got his hands on something to open the door, and then he somehow overpowered Astra, as he attacked him with a stone which seemed to be the murder weapon.” He explained. “I shouldn’t have allowed him to go down there alone,” Chase hissed, as he kicked the trashcan. “Unfortunately, there is more..” Landon spoke, as he glanced at Ace and then back at Chase. “Bella has been down there too, I could smell her scent and I found this,” he stated as he handed over the torn part of her dress, which Ace immediately grabbed on to. “He’s right, it’s Bella’s dress, the same she was wearing earlier, why the hell was she down there?” he blurred out, as his face turned terrified. “Drake! Call out the search-team right away!” Chase yelled, as he picked up his phone and put it to his ear. “Who are you calling?” Landon asked. “Who do you think?!” Chase snapped. [..] “I bought this for you.” Dagon spoke as he came back from the mall, where he went to get some food and a pack of cigarettes, and handed her one of the bags. “What is it?” She asked, as she proceeded to pull out a folded blue dress with white flowers on it. “I just thought you could use a new dress, as the one you’re wearing now is ripped. There are also some jeans and a shirt, as well as some clean underwear, but if you don’t like it, I can get you something else..” he spoke, but then she shook her head. “No, this is perfect, thank you very much!” She thanked him, as she gave him a hug, before she removed the torn dress and pulled it new dress over her head. “You’re welcome,” he replied as he cleared his throat, before he started the car again, and began to drive. As they drove down the long road and the sun was at its highest, the song; Sunroof suddenly started. “Uh, I love this song!” Bella blurred out. As Dagon smiled at her when she turned up the radio, and started to sing along to the lyrics; (La La La..) I got my head out the sunroof I’m blasting our favorite tunes. I only got one thing on my mind. You got me stuck on the thought of you, you're making me feel brand new, you’re more than the sunshine in my eyes. You got those pretty eyes in your head, you know it. You got me dancing in my bed, so let me show it. You are exactly what I want, kinda cool and kinda not, wanna give myself to you. Yeah, We're driving down the freeway at night, I only got one thing in the back of my mind. I'm feeling like this might be my time to shine, with you, with you, with you.. ---- “Can you check who’s calling my phone?” Dagon asked Bella as his phone rang for the fourth time, so she picked it up and looked at the phone’s display. “It’s Armaros?” She spoke as he frowned. “Put it on speaker.” He stated, as she did what he asked. “How unexpected! Tell me, why do I get the pleasure of you calling me, after a week with nothing?” Dagon asked sarcastically. “Tell me why the fück you are trying to fück everything up?!” Armaros yelled from the other end of the line. “I guess you heard from Chase. What did he tell you?” He asked, unbothered, while he had his eyes on the road. “I think you already know, tell me it’s not true,” he hissed, while Dagon stayed quiet, not answering Armaros’ question. “For fück’ sake, Dagon, answer me!” He yelled, but Dagon still ignored him without a care, so Bella sighed and spoke. “That depends on what you’re referring to,” she spoke. “Bella? Did Dagon force you to go with him after he killed someone from the tribe? He asked. “Dagon didn’t force me to do anything, I went with him willingly after he saved me from Astra, who tried to r**e me, who, by the way, is working with those other morons who kidnapped Stella, so you can tell my uncle and dad, that,” she stated, with no hesitation in her voice, whatsoever. “Oh, Uhm, okay? I’m glad to hear that’s not the case,” he replied, as he clearly didn’t know what to say. “How’s Stella doing?” She asked, as if she tried to avoid the sensitive subject. “She’s okay I guess, she unfortunately lost some of her memories, so she won’t talk to me at the moment, but Shax is speaking with her. So, hopefully, she will agree to meet with me,” he explained as Dagon suddenly took the phone from her hand. “Glad things are going splendid for you, but we are kinda busy, so bye and fück you very much!” He snapped into the phone before he hung up and threw it on the floor angrily. “We have to go to my uncle James’ pack,” She stated, as he knitted his eyebrows. “I’m not going anywhere near him, I’m not in any need to see that inflated prick!” He snapped. “How many times have I covered his ass, and he still doesn’t trust me.. Fücking nutjob..” he growled, but as she placed her hand on his, he calmed a bit, as he glanced at her. “Please Dagon, I really think Stella could need a familiar face, maybe it would help with her memories,” she suggested. He glanced at her once more, as he thought about it, before he finally answered. “Fine! But why do you call so many people your uncles and aunts? You aren’t related to all of them, are you?” “No, not really, but it’s because they have always been there, since we were kids.” Bella replied with a small shrug. “It’s still weird, what if one of your “cousins” turned out to be your mate?” He asked as she wrinkled her nose. “EW, don’t be gross, I believe the Moon Goddess knows what she is doing,” she replied. “Right, creating problems for people,” he grumbled, annoyed. “Come on, Dagon,” she sighed. “Am I wrong? Before, I had only heard about werewolves mating inside their own race, but then I met Stella. I first believed she was just another werewolf and then BAM! She turns out to be some kind of hybrid. Did her father randomly fall in love with some lux Blanda.. I mean, did he choose it?” Dagon asked. “No, her parents are mates too.” She replied, as he nodded. “Right.. Mates.” He spoke as he became silent again. “But it’s not completely unheard of that some take a chosen mate, but it’s kinda Taboo, inside the werewolf society.” Bella explained, as he turned his attention to her again. “Why? Is it so bad to want someone who’s not “given” by this so-called “Moon Goddess”?” He asked, and rolled his eyes. “No, plenty of werewolves have partners before they meet their mate, it’s just not expected to last..” she replied as the tension between them became awkward. [..] I talked to Dagon and Bella, Chase, and it’s not what you think.” Armaros stated, as Chase fisted his hand. “Then how the hell is it, Armaros?!” “She told me that Astra tried to r**e her, and Dagon saved her from him,” “Do you expect me to believe that? He admitted just two days before that he did the same exact thing you're now telling me he prevented!” He growled. “What can I say? Perhaps that’s why they ran, ‘cause they knew no one would believe it,” Armaros responded. “She also asked me to tell you that this guy, Astra, admitted working with those who took Stella. So, if I should take a guess, he didn’t plan to let any of them walk out of there alive,” he continued, making Chase bang his hand down the table. “I gotta go,” Chase hissed as he put the phone down, just as Drake and Charlie stepped back into the room. “What did he say, did he get the hang of them?” Drake asked, as Chase nodded. “I’ve just learned that Astra was working with the group that took Stella,” he revealed, as Charlie and Drake stared at him. “Then, it’s probably a good thing he took him out, so what’s the problem?” “When have Astra and Belmir ever done anything apart?” He asked, as Charlie and Drake looked at each other and then back at Chase. “I don’t know, except from today. I’m not sure that they ever have,” Charlie replied with a shrug. “Exactly! I’ve just sent his brother after them,” he replied as he covered his face. [..] As Dagon and Bella had been driving for hours and the time said 01:37 AM, Dagon pulled into a motel. They both needed a break from all the driving, and Dagon didn’t really feel like hurrying to see that dibshit, Armaros. Bella had already fallen asleep, so he decided to fix a room for them before he carried her to the bed and placed her gently on it. He thought about taking a smoke before lying down, but when he was about to leave, she suddenly clinged to his arm. When he turned to look at her, he realized she had woken up. “Please, don’t leave me alone,” she begged, and he saw how upset she looked. “Okay, I won’t,” he promised, before he laid down next to her. He couldn’t help but feel slightly pleased she wanted him to stay with her, even though it was probably only because of the horrible experiences that day. But then she suddenly spoke. “You know a relationship like this is doomed, right?” She spoke, as she lifted her head to look at him. “Who cares, are we ever promised anything?” He asked her, as he turned her around, so he was above her, but she just observed him without saying anything. “Are you really going to deny yourself happiness to wait for this knight in white, shiny armor, that may or may not show up, to come and swoop you off your feet?” He asked, as he began to observe her features. “Are you implying that you could be that person?” She asked, as she chuckled lightly. “Well, not exactly. I am more likely gonna be the person who captures you, that he would want to save you from, but if he ever happens to show up.. I’ll let you choose for yourself,” he admitted, making the smile on her face drop, as she immediately turned more serious. “Why? Why would you go through all that?” She replied, as he gently cherished her cheek, while he observed his hand’s movement before he looked her in the eyes again. “‘Cause I’d rather have loved you and have my heart broken into a million pieces, then to never have loved you at all.” He replied as he leaned down and captured her lips. [Stella’s POV] “Is there anything else you would like to know?” Armaros asked me, after we had been talking back and forth for over an hour, and it was starting to get late. “No, I think I got what I need for now, I’m just exhausted now,” I replied, as he nodded his head. “I understand, you have a lot of thinking to do, so I’ll see you tomorrow?” Armaros asked as he cautiously reached out for my hand. Some part of me was fighting to just jump at him, as another part of me was telling me to run for the hills. But as his hand came in contact with mine, I felt every cell in my body spark on fire, which was both amazing and terrifying at once. “Yeah, I guess we will,” I replied, as he smiled, before he got up from the bed and headed to the door. But then one thing I forgot to ask, came to me. “I guess I have one last question,” I spoke, making him turn around to look at me. “Yeah, what is it?” “It just, I’ve been having this nightmare, and.. It’s some kind of memory about you, but it’s different from everything else I remember, so I can’t figure out if it’s something I made up, or if it’s a real memory,” I spoke, as I swallowed a lump. “Tell me, what is it?” He asked as he placed a hand on my cheek. ---- “You lied to me!” I shot, as I walked in to the dungeon, making Nathan look up at me. “Well, hello to you too, I guess you decided to talk to Armaros after all,” he stated, as he rose from the floor. “That’s not the point. Why would you lie like that? Why would you make Rowan alter and remove some of my memories?” I hissed. “I was trying to protect you, just admit it, he did so many horrible things to you, you told me so yourself, all I did, I did for you. Tell me, have I ever hurt you?” Nathan defended, as I knitted my eyebrows. “No, not what I remember, but I.. I know you kidnapped and then lied to me, and even before that I was told I wasn’t speaking to you, you even lied about what your dad and Hunter did to me,” I shot back. “So, he told you that too? Wow, he must really have been desperate if he pulled that card,” he snarled, as he shook his head. “No, I was the one who asked him about your dad, and he explained why he did, what he did,” “Right, so now all he did magically disappears because he did one selfless thing to help, is that what you’re saying?” “I don’t know what I feel about it right now, I still can’t remember much, but I believe he is telling the truth.” I defended, as he frowned at me. “The truth! You want the truth, Stella?” Nathan asked as he walked up to the cell-door. “He manipulates people, he and his men have tortured and murdered more werewolves, than there could possibly be counted on both our hands. Has he even told you what Dagon did, while you all have been staying here?” He shot, as I knitted my eyebrows. “He was imprisoned for ràping Bella, and now he is on the run, as he has kidnapped her and killed Astra.” He spoke, making my eyes widen. “What?” My memories of Dagon weren't good at all. I remembered he was a close friend of Morax, and I also remembered what he said about Bella back then. But suddenly a thought popped into my mind. “But.. Where do you know that from?” I asked. “From me, of course.” A voice behind me stated, making me turn around, and Belmir walked out from the corner. “Belmir? What are you doing here?” I blurred out, as I observed him, and I could see he looked far from happy. “Doing what should have been done a long time ago.”
