“I know you are going through a lot right now, but I thought you should know that Bella is here, so if you wanna see her, now is the time to do it. See you!” Armaros' voice stated as Dagon listened to the voicemail once again, as he was sitting in his car.
He watched Bella being pulled along by the same guy who told him he was the beta of the Green Oak Pack.
He lied, and it was both infuriating and heartbreaking to watch how scared and sad Bella seemed.
“Why didn’t I see it?” He thought to himself.
As the cars slowly started to leave one by one, he saw Stella and Armaros standing there from a distance, as Armaros was comforting her, so he decided to call him.
“Hallo, Dagon!” Armaros spoke, as he picked up the phone.
“Yeah, it’s me, I got your message,” he spoke.
“Right, I’m sorry to say, but they’re already leaving,” Armaros stated.
“I know, I can see that,” Dagon replied.
“You’re here? Then why are you not coming in?”
“They don’t want me here. Bella’s father already made that perfectly clear the last time, remember?” He replied coldly.
“What are you doing then?” Armaros asked, confused.
“I’m going to make things right, Armaros, I’m gonna bring Bella home,” he revealed.
“How the hell do you plan to do that? Not even Stella’s father could stop them?” Armaros asked, not sure what he was planning to do.
“I’ve got it, just trust me, okay?” He spoke.
“Then let us at least help you, you can’t just walk over there alone,” he told.
“If you really wanna help, you can tell Bella’s parents that I’m truly sorry, but I’m gonna fix this, once and for all.”
“Come on, Dagon, don’t be stupid! You end up getting yourself killed!” Armaros tried, but Dagon had already put the phone down as he followed the last car to leave the area.
[Stella’s POV]
“This is just so unfair, I can’t believe he's just getting away with that!” I hissed, as I started crying while we watched the cars starting to leave.
“I know babygirl..” he spoke as his phone rang.
“Who is it?” I asked him. He immediately looked at the name on the name on the display, before looking back at me.
“It’s Dagon,” he replied before picking it up, and as the call progressed I quickly realized what it was about.
Dagon was planning to get Bella back. How he would do it I didn’t know, but I knew it would be dangerous.
“We can’t let him go alone, they’ll kill him if they find out!” I blurred out.
“I know, and that is why we’re going after him,” he answered, and placed his phone at his ear again as he called Baal.
“Get down to the car as fast as you can, and bring Shax as well! Dagon is planning to go after Bella,” He spoke, as he headed for the car.
“I’m going too!” I stated, when Armaros frowned at me, while he placed his phone back in his pocket.
“No, it’s too dangerous!” He spoke as I looked at him with a bored look.
“What have I been doing the last three months? I’ve been working my butt off to make sure I can defend myself, so don’t try to stop me!” I scolded, as he sighed.
“Fine, but you stay outside their territory! I can’t risk anything happens to you,” he ordered, as I just nodded my head, while Shax and Baal showed up, followed by Jaze and Kyan.
“What are they doing here?” Armaros asked, as Baal rolled his eyes.
“They heard my conversation with Shax,” Baal defended the moment they arrived.
“If you are going after Bella, then we will go too!” Kyan defended, as he crossed his arms.
“There’s no time to argue about this, let’s just hurry,” Armaros dismissed, as we followed the wheel tracks until we finally saw a line of cars, which we all recognized as the Green Oak Pack’s.
“I think we are here,” Armaros spoke as the cars pulled in on a small dirt road, but we quickly realized it was more heavily monitored than we first anticipated.
There were six guards standing by the road checking everyone who was getting in.
“What do we do now?” Shax asked, as all of us looked at Armaros.
“Just give me a minute to think,” he hissed, but I already knew what to do.
“I have an idea; you, Shax and Baal just go ahead. Jaze, Kyan and I will distract them, while you go in there and look for Dagon!” I told, and everyone seemed to find my idea acceptable.
“Okay, just be careful, okay?” Armaros spoke, as I nodded, surely.
“I will. Now hurry, before we get too close and risk them sniffing you out!” I stated.
Then they hurried out as Jaze took the driver’s seat as we continued to drive closer.
A man walked up to us as Jaze rolled down the window, and he clearly wasn’t happy to see us.
“Who the hell are you? Step out of the vehicle, now!” He growled at us, as we did.
“Just calm down, we are from the tribe, we came to talk to Alpha Parker, Alpha Chase sent us,” Kyan quickly spoke, as I glanced shortly at him.
“Right! He had something important he wanted us to tell him,” Jaze added, as these guys looked at us with suspicion.
But I believed they were talking among themselves, ‘cause suddenly they nodded at each other, before two of them left.
“And what about her? Why did he send a girl? Is she some kind of peace offering?” One of the men grinned, as he started walking around me.
“She’s the Alpha’s daughter, so unless you want to deal with him, I suggest you keep your distance,” Kyan warned him.
“You better watch it kid, this is not your territory, so you might wanna be more careful,” he warned him too.
“He’s just giving you a piece of advice. Our Alpha knows where we are, and he won’t have any problem getting here, if he needs to,” Jaze lied, but he luckily believed it, ‘cause he retreated after that, as Parker suddenly showed up.
“So it’s you again! What do you want now?” He snarled at me, as he stepped dangerously close to me.
“My dad asked me to apologize for my earlier behavior. I was just upset, and I guess I didn’t handle it as I should have,” I spoke, even though I mostly wanted to yell at him, I had to distract him.
“Well, isn’t that just great, the Alpha’s daughter apologizing,” he scoffed, as his men snickered.
I really wanted to smack that stupid grin off his face, but I kept the mask.
“Yes, I hope you’ll be able to see through these past events, and move forward. Maybe it’s actually possible to be friends after all,” I continued, as he stepped closer to me.
“So, you wanna be friends?” He asked, as I nodded, before he leaned closer to my ear.
“You’re pretty, but really stupid if you think I’ll fall for that – go home before I throw your àsses in a dump somewhere!” He whispered, as the last part came out clearly as a threat, as he turned around and started to head back.
“You heard him, píss off, and don’t come back!” One of them growled, as they were blocking the way.
“Fine, we’ll leave,” Jaze spoke calmly, as we stepped back into the car.
“What now?” Kyan asked, as they both turned to me.
“Now, we’ll have to wait and, hopefully, everything will go as it should,” I replied, as Jaze put the car in reverse, and soon found a place to stay hidden.
After a long time, Armaros called and I picked it up.
“We need help! Dagon is bleeding a great deal, and I don’t think he will make it to the tribe if he isn’t treated soon!”
“I’ll do it, we’ll meet you halfway,” I stated as we all stepped out of the car, and I started to run, but as we got closer, we were once again faced with the same guards.
“Didn’t we tell you to leave!?” He growled, but I just blew them aside, not wanting to waste any time on these idiots.
Just a few feet in front of us, I saw them. Armaros and Baal were dragging Dagon as he was clearly unconscious.
I had never seen anyone in such a bad state before, but I had to help him, so I did what I knew would work the most effectively.
I cut my wrist, and gave him just enough of my blood to help him heal.
“That should work, but it will probably take a while for him to wake up. His body needs to rest,” I explained, as he nodded and sighed in relief.
“Thank you, I wouldn’t have asked that of you if I knew he could make it back,” Armaros explained, as I just shook my head.
“No need to explain, I’m just glad to see you are all alright,” I replied.
First, then I realized Bella and a girl I hadn’t met before were there too.
“Bells? You’re here!” I blurred out, as I hugged her.
“Yeah, I’m so sorry for what I said earlier, I.. I was just really scared,” she spoke before she started to cry.
“Don’t be, I get it, more than you’ll ever know,” I soothed her, before I turned to this girl in front of me.
“Hi, I’m Stella, Bella’s cousin!” I spoke with a smile, as I reached a hand to her, but she clearly seemed scared, as she glanced at Bella.
“It’s okay, you can trust Stella, she’s not only my cousin but also my best friend,” Bella replied, with a reassuring smile, as she then turned back to me.
“Liana, nice to meet you,” she spoke in a low voice. But then we heard someone coming.
“Who said that you were allowed to trespass and then steal not only the Luna but also another pack member.” A man I hadn’t seen before stated, as he was followed by several others.
“We aren’t stealing anything. Dagon won the challenge, so Bella has the right to leave, and this girl doesn’t wanna stay here!” Armaros growled at them.
“..and since she isn’t mated yet, she can if she'd like to, Harley!” Bella added with clear disgust towards him.
“He doesn’t look like a winner to me, and females don’t get a say here, only a mated girl can leave this pack, that is how the rules work around here, so Liana, get your àss over here!” He ordered, and it was clear to me, she was frightened by him.
What the hell did he do to her?
“Well, the tribe is a place for people who need to get away from idiots like you!” I snapped, as Harley’s eyes met mine.
“So you wanna go there princess, you’re nothing more than a bunch of hypocrites, you stand there condemning the same actions that your mate have committed against you.
Didn’t he threaten to kill your entire family and the passed out dude tried to ràpe Bella, so tell me, how is it any different?” He spoke, as I stared at him a little shocked but tried to compose myself, as I looked at Bella, who stared at me regretful.
“I’m sorry, but Parker förced me to tell him, I didn’t have a choice against it,” she sobbed lowly, and I immediately turned back to Hadley.
“The difference is they actually changed. You and Parker, on the other hand, are just terrible. Just the thought of this is what you do to your mothers, sisters, mates, and daughters, is disgusting!” I snarled at him.
“You’ll start an unnecessary war between your precious tribe and the Green Oak pack if you do this, but I guess you only care about yourself, right?” He spoke.
“I don’t wanna create any more trouble, I’ll just stay, all of you just leave while you still can,” Liana mumbled to us. But I wasn’t going to leave an innocent girl in the hands of a bunch of monsters.
“No, you’re not going back there.” I spoke before turning to Harley.
“How about some kind of challenge then? That’s the only language you seem to understand. If we win, you will let Liana leave, none of you will try to stop her,” I suggested, as he smirked.
“A challenge you say, fine! But I wanna choose for myself who I’m gonna fight against, and I think it’s gonna be you!” He spoke, as he pointed at me.
“Me? You really wanna fight me?” I asked him.
“I do, you’re the one suggesting this challenge, so I dare you to finish it yourself, or is the princess too scared?” He scoffed, as my lips tilted.
“No, I just wanted to make sure, but just remember not to sulk too much when you lose,” I spoke, as he clearly believed I was bluffing.
“Stella, are you crazy! He is one of the strongest warriors in this pack,” Bella blurred out.
“Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing,” I answered, never taking my eyes off him.
“But there will be rules, we will only use our wolves, so no cheap tricks – hybrid!” He spoke, as I frowned.
“How is that any fair? Those abilities are just as much a part of her, they aren’t tricks! I can’t let you do this, Stella, he is just trying to trick you!” Armaros growled.
“Unfortunately, she has already agreed to this challenge, so if she backs out now, we will be förced to attack all of you.” Harley explained, as the guards from before had shown up, and were now blocking our only way out.
“I don’t care about your stupid challenge, you can fight me instead!” He hissed.
“It’s fine Armaros, I can do this, with or without my abilities, I still got my wolf,” I explained, as I looked at him.
I knew he normally wouldn’t have agreed, but right now, we didn’t have another choice.
“Just to make sure.. You do know the consequences if you lose this fight, right?” He asked, but he already knew I did, he just said it to smear it out in Armaros’ face.
“I do, that’s why I plan to win,” I spoke coldly, before I shifted.

When Dagon woke up, he realized he was at the tribe clinic. He sighed, as he couldn’t help feeling stupid for passing out in front of Bella.
“You’re awake!” Shax chipped, as he, Armaros and Baal stepped into the room.
“Yeah, but where’s Bella?” Dagon asked, as he couldn’t help but worry about her.
“Don’t worry, Dr. Canis, just wanted to make sure she was fine. Stella is there with her. She’ll come back when he has cleared her out,” Armaros explained.
“She actually sat with you all night, so I’m uncertain if she even slept at all,” Baal added, making Dagon seem surprised.
Did she actually just sit up all night for him?
“You guys saved my ass yesterday, so, I guess I must thank you for that,” he mumbled.
It wasn’t easy for Dagon to admit he couldn’t handle things on his own, but he was actually thankful that they showed up, even though he had told them not to.
“Hey! What do you have friends for!” Shax beamed as he sat down on the bed, next to Dagon.
“Right, friends,” Dagon spoke as a small huff left his lips, as he looked at Armaros.
“Things have really changed haven’t they?” Dagon spoke, as Armaros tilted his head slightly, as a half smile came to his lips.
“I guess they have, quite a bit,” he replied, as he walked up to him.
“But I’m glad to see you’re alright,” he added, as he placed a hand on his shoulder, before Dagon returned the smile.
“Me too,”
Then he heard the door open, he saw Bella come into the room.
Dagon looked at her with a smile. He had really missed her, more than he had let himself believe, but seeing her stand there, opened up all the emotions he had been hiding away for months, to make sure he wouldn’t succumb to them.
“Morning!” He greeted, but though Bella was relieved he was awake, she was also angry with him.
“I can’t believe you challenged Parker like that, you could’ve died! Why would you risk that?” she scolded him.
“Because I love you, and I'd rather die than leave you with that monster for another second,” he explained with no remorse.
As her eyes started to tear up, she jumped into his embrace. But the moment she touched him, he tensed and so did she.
“What was that?” Dagon asked, as she was staring at him like she had seen a ghost.
“No, this is not possible,” She blurred out, as she tried pulling away, but he didn’t let her, so instead she placed her hands on his cheeks, and started to cry hysterically, just as Stella came back into the room.
“Hey, it’s okay, don’t be upset,” Dagon soothed her, but the truth was, that he had no idea what was going on, so he just tried to comfort her the best he could.
“What’s wrong, Bella?” Stella asked, as she looked just as confused and worried as everyone else. Bella turned to her with a distant look, as she shook her head.
“I’m not certain how, but Dagon is my second chance mate,” she spoke, before she looked back at him.
It finally made sense why he felt everything so clearly, and before he knew what he was doing, he pulled her in for an all-consuming kiss.
