I'm a little shocked to hear the words come out of my mouth. I've never asked anyone if it was okay if I kiss them. I am very much a 'kiss first, ask questions later' kind of guy. But with Quinn, it's different. Maybe because she doesn't know who I am, maybe because I know she's lost somebody, I'm not sure. All I know for certain is that I don't want to make her uncomfortable.
So I'm even more shocked when she doesn't answer me but simply kisses me instead.
Her lips are soft and sweet against mine. It's just a gentle kiss, a little hesitant, and I realize I'm probably the first man she's kissed since her mate. She hasn't said so, but I have a feeling it's true, and I want to make this good for her.
