I wouldn’t be able to give you a definite answer if you asked me how long I stayed there, in my old room, hiding from the outside world, but one thing that I was definitely sure of, was that it had been a very long time. I had unpacked my suitcase and put everything into the bedside table, as everything seemed to fit into there, making it convenient for me, as I would know where all of my things were. But of course, unpacking the suitcase had taken me a matter of minutes and by the time that I had finished, I hadn’t been ready to go downstairs again. So, I made the wise decision to open the windows, hoping that it would somehow get rid of the musty smell that seemed to fill the place. It was almost as if something had died in here, and that I now needed to get rid of the said dead-thing.
