"Where am I?" L asked once he opened his eyes. He looked around and saw a sleeping girl while sitting. He raised a brow. "Who's this?" He asked as he brushed her hair out of his face. L's eyes widened when he recognize the girl. "Hana Lee?" he asked in disbelief.
With that, Hana opened his eyes. She looked at the one who's talking and her eyes widened when she saw L already sitting and preparing to stand up.
"Wait! Where are you going?" She asked L.
L looked at her. "Out." He said.
"What?!" Hana asked in disbelief.
"I said I'm going out." He said coldly.
"No! You can't go out in that situation!" He exclaimed at L.
L looked at her. "Who are you to tell me what to do?" L asked her.
Hana's eyes widened and she shivered again. The same kind of shiver she felt when L glared at her the first time.
"A - I'm Hana Lee." she said trembling.
L scoffed in disbelief. "Are you dumb? Tss. You gotta be kidding me!" He exclaimed.
Hana shook her head still trembling.
L just shook his head and tried to stand up but he failed. He was too weak to stand up. He fell on the floor.
Hana came rushing to him as he helped L sit on the bed. "That's why I told you, you can't go out in this situation." She whispered to L.
L looked at her and saw concern written all over her face. Suddenly, he grew curious.
"Why are you even taking care of me? You barely even know me." L asked.
Hana looked at him. "Eh? Do you have to know someone that well to help that someone trapped in your situation?" She asked him. "I saw what happened. Why are they even chasing you?" She asked L.
L looked away as he heard her question. "You don't need to know." He said.
Hana looked at him and saw how he is uncomfortable in that topic.
"Uhm... I want to say sorry. The first time I meg you, I bumped into you. I said sorry that time but I don't know I you heard it so, I'm saying it again." She said changing the topic.
"A - I heard it." L stuttered. He doesn't know but his heart is beating really fast. *What's this weird feeling in my chest?* He asked himself.
"Uh... Mr. L? Are you listening to me?" Hana broke into his thoughts.
L reluctantly looked at her. "Eh?" He asked.
"Rude. I was asking where you are living." She said with a pout. And I might say that, that pout made L's heart beat even more.
L is a gangster. But he is not a poor gangster who just lives on the street and gets money from the g**g battles that he wins. He is a part of the g**g called Infinite. They are one of the most powerful gangs in the whole South Korea. But they are all mystery to other gangs. They have their different g**g names. His g**g name is L. Most people knows that he is L, the rich and quiet kid who never listens to the teacher, but no one knows that he is the "L" from Infinite. After all, he has to keep his profile down low. That's the reason why he is so quiet in school, to which, L's family owns.
"Just around here. Near here." L replied.
Hana nodded.
"Why'd you ask? You're gonna stalk me all the way home?" He asked in his cocky tone.
Hana scoffed. "Maybe?" She asked riding on his joke. L's eyes widened. Then Hana waved her hand. "Oh my goodness! I was just kidding! I don't stalk people." She said. "I was just about to ask my driver to drive you home tomorrow since it's late already." She cleared.
L nodded in relief. "Oh. Thank you. But it is not necessary." he said. "I can go home myself."
Hana frowned. "You can't even stand on your feet alone." She mumbled.
L heard her whisper. But he didn't catch it. "what was that?" He asked.
Hana shook her head and stood up. "I'll go now, Mr. L. Sleep now. Good night." she said as she walked to that door.
"W-wait!" L beamed.
Hana looked at him still holding the door knob. "What's it?" she asked.
L rubbed the back of his neck. "Where did you know my name?" He asked awkwardly.
"Oh! I heard the gangsters call you L a while ago. Sorry. I didn't mean to-"
"No. It's okay." L said. "Good night." He said as he went back to lying in bed.
Hana smiled. "Good night." She said as she went out of the guest room.
The next day, the moment Hana opened her eyes, she prepared real quick and went straight to the guest room.
As she opened the door, her heart was leaping fast. She can't even imagine how fast her heartbeat is beating now. But to her surprise, she saw an empty room. No trace of L could be found. She looked for him in every corner of the room but he isn't there. He already left.
She hurried downstairs and saw the maids preparing breakfast already.
"Oh, Hana-ah, you're early today." Nana said while preparing the table.
"Nana, have you seen the guy in the guest room?! He is missing!" Hana exclaimed.
"Oh, the wounded guy?" Hana nodded. "He already left. I even asked him to eat breakfast first but he insisted on going home." Nana said.
Hana's eyes widened. "What? What if something happened to him while he's on his way home? Did the driver drive him home?" Hana exasperated.
Nana chuckled. "Calm down, Hana." She said. "Here. He left you this." She handed her a letter. "He said he'll see you at school."
Hana read the letter.
"Thanks for taking care of me even if I am a total stranger to you. I don't say this often, but I really appreciate it. - L"
Hana smiled as she read L's words.
