Juri's journey to Heendus

The kingdom paid tribute to the late queen before its burial. The king commanded to gather the council.

General Batton called them upon.

"Is there any update for my wife's assailant?" Asked the king who's completely composed. 

"My king one of the warrior confess that Junno son of Gratus had been seen in the vicinity of the kingdom the night before Magasca." Said Admiral Flynt. "Admiral could be right. After all only a Heendurian could wield Magnus Magic not to mention he's the son of Gratus." Added general Batton.

"I want you to deploy an army to held the entire kingdom of Heendus and create a group of best warrior to find Junno." Said the king.

But everyone was surprise when Juri entered the council meeting, Juri kneeled to the king and said:

"My king i'm offering myself to hunt down Junno of Heendus."

When the king heard it he was complacent that justice will be serve for his wife.

"Are you sure Juri?" Asked the king.

"Yes My lord." Replied Juri.

"Alright then. I want you to bring the troops with you."

Ordered the King.

Juri followed everything the council’s advice.

Before Juri could leave the kingdom his father General Batton had a small talk with him.

"It’s an honor for our family son. I'm proud of you always remember that." Said general Batton.

"Father i won’t let this kingdom down. Please look for Meca for me. And don't tell her about this." Juri requested.

"Alright son."

After their talk Juri head over to see princess for the last time. As he glances the princess at far, he recall the apocalypse, when the princess died trying to save Juri.

Now it's his chance to save hers. He took everything he need in his journey to Heendus.

But little did Juri know, the princess sneak over the councils meeting, and that he knows that Juri will head over to Heendus to hunt Junno.

The princess had made a plan to escape the palace and follow Junno.

Meanwhile Juri went ahead of the Veelurian army.

In the middle of his quest he called upon Algus.

"I know you can hear me, please come down i need your help." Cried Juri.

Algus heard him.

"Juri Vangard. What do i owe you to call me from the heaven?" Said Algus.

"It's clear on me now. Now i wanted to know everything about Heendus." Asked Juri.

"Well there’s a lot you need to know about the largest kingdom of all four, First, yes its true it is indeed the largest among the four, if you combine Lynu and Meedus that's how large it is.

Second, Black magic is vast in that place, you need to take note of that, it's a good thing you have a high form of Ryko, But it’s not gonna work on Magnus Magic which the kingdom is known. Every Heendurian has the ability to use Magnus magic but not quite strong as the Verte uses.

And last but definitely not the least since Magnus magic are the strong ones, Heendus kingdom is the home of Raven Battlegods (Evil Gods) You might encounter some of them in your journey, hence, i want you to have this ring. This is a Battlegod ring like the ring your king possess." Juri took the ring.

"Now you have to understand that this red Battlegod ring has certain level of transformation, but before you achieve it, you have to meet the required Ryko to activate the ring.

Cause if not, that ring will be as futile as a cold stone. Alright, you've got everything you need."

"That's quite a lot to remember." Said Juri.

"Well that's not enough to save the kingdom. So better keep going Juri."

Algus deserted Juri quick as blink of an eye.

Juri wore the red ring and get going.

He reached the borderline of Lynu and Heendus at dark.

He decided to take a detour and bumped into a merchant that sells good wine and comfort.

He wore a civilian clothing to avoid untoward attention.

He ordered a wine and took a sit. Inside there was a quite number of customers mostly hunters and scavengers, everyone knows each other except for one.

A group of men consist of four hang around Juri. One guy talk to Juri,

But Juri didn't bother to answer their query.

"Hey! Don't you know who the boss in here is? Huh?" bragged the man.

Still Juri did not felt to respond, until the guy got pissed off, and he spilled a jar of wine to Juri's cloth.

Although Juri didn't mind it, the guy made a sarcastic laugh along with the other three.

Suddenly the guy stop laughing and strike a move to Juri.

The guy attempt to strike Juri his jar of wine, but Juri caught it on his eyes, even before the guy could hit Juri, and as fast as lightning.

Juri broke his jar of wine to the guy's face, at the same time, he took a knife on the table with his left hand and throw it to the guy on his right, it hit on his forehead.

Two guys were down in a quick move, then the guy at his back pull his axe but before he could use his axe, Juri took his chair and broke it to his knees then to his head.

The fourth guy feared Juri so he run fast and got lost. Everyone laid off their eyes to Juri, and before the commotion got worse, Juri left the wine house leaving three cold bodies.

He took his horse and continue his travel.

He crossed the borderline and finally reach the outskirt of Heendus. The smell of black magic scatters the place.

Along the way Juri passes a place where a couple of dead civilian is devoured by a number of Crowes.

Juri stopped by and paid respect to the dead ones by burying them. It shows that the dead is possibly a married couple, and the man is half Veelurian. The print of a ring on his finger is still clear.

They might have been robbed by scavengers.

Just a mile away Juri dropped by a small town to fetch some water.

It looks like a ghost town only that some of the household are lying outside their houses asking for food like beggars. There is no descent food nor water.

The people are suffering from famine, this is caused by the abusive, and too much scavenging, leaving nothing for the community.

Two blocks away Juri saw a deep well, but the water smells bad and filthy.

He walks forward to look for water, a little after he heard his horse whining and making uncomfortable sound.

Juri hurried to check it up, but someone took his horse with his pack of food and other stuff.

He tried to take him down using his bow and arrow, but he can't, for it was just a boy.

Juri stand down.

He track the horse footprint instead. Not far outside the town, Juri found the boy who took his horse, but he's no solo, he is with a small group of scavengers.

Juri sneak on them, staring at them picking his food packs and other stuff. They shared the food but the boy did not have his share, he was even despised by not providing them enough food.

Juri decided to take it easy for the boy but not to the ones who exploited him.

There are five guys in the group excluding the boy.

Juri took three arrow, he plan to take one shot in three arrow blade, and just like a snap of a finger three arrows hit the three scavenger.

Juri made a great entrance by smacking the fourth guy using just one arm. The fifth one held the boy as hostage.

"Do not move a single muscle or else i will kill this boy. Put your weapons down"

Said the guy who took the boy.

"What made you think i would give a damn? That boy took my possession. So, if you're going to kill him, kill him now."

Said Juri who didn't seem to mind that there was a sixth guy on his back pointing an arrow.

"You know what? I can forget the food, just leave me with the horse and i let you leave. Fair enough?" Juri proposed.

"You call this fair? You! Dumbass."

Said the guy on Juri's back.

"You will die together with this boy."

Said the guy holding the boy.

"Alright, let’s do it at once." Dared Juri. Just right when the guy on his back pull his string, Juri attack them at once by using his nerve wrecking Ryko (Spiritual power)

The two of them pass out aside from the boy who ask Juri his forgiveness.

"My lord i'm just a slave, forgive me, i scavenge for my leader." Said the boy.

"I forgive you kid. Now you can go back to your parents."

Juri took his horse and leave the boy.

Kilometer away from the town Juri found a clean water stream. He stopped by to get some water and clean himself.

Back in the woods the leader of the scavenger group found out what Juri did to them, the poor boy was to blame and get tortured.

The leader with a number of twenty scavenger men buried his dead men. "Gaston whoever did this, he's quite strong."

Said one of his men.

"It’s true Gaston, he uses a different magic that causes us to faint, the boy can prove it."

Said the two who witness the whole circumstances.

The boy also nodded. "It’s no magic you peace of crap. I don't smell any magic traces here." Said Gaston, the leader of the scavengers.

"Then what is it Gaston?" Asked his men. "Ryko power."

"Only few can possess that, and i believe that the one who attacked you has a high form of Ryko."

Explained Gaston.

"What should we do now? And what about this boy?"

"We will make him pay for this. Bring the boy, we can still make a use of him."

The scavengers followed Juri.

On to the next town Juri dropped by to buy food and drinks.

He asked the people in town if he's close enough to Heendus palace.

All of them said he still need to garner three more days to reach the palace. When he's about to go, the scavengers came and reckon the place, all the traders and merchandisers run to different directions.

Juri hide himself. Some of the scavengers searched in places, they asked the people in town, but they can't distinguish their descriptions.

At far Juri saw the boy suffering from injuries, he can't help it to show mercy on him.

Juri had a strong mind and personality, he grew up dissipating care for anyone, not until he meet the princess. Princess Meca teaches him to have a care if it’s the heart that bears.

So when the scavengers put the boy at stake for him to show up, Juri can't contain himself to ignore him.

"I know you're still here! Show yourself or else I’m going to cut the boy's head!" Said Gaston very loud.

Although he's not accountable for the boy's welfare, he can't fight his conscience no matter how much he restrain himself.

Gaston play no games, as he's about to cut the boy's head, then.

"Alright leave the boy. Set him free. Now that you've got what you want."

Said Juri who showed himself.

"Pardon me Veelurian warrior, but the only way to set free the boy is when i die. This boy is binded with a spell, he's going to be my slave until my last breath." Replied Gaston.

"Alright. Then I’ll pull him out your corpse."

Said Juri who attacked them first.

The fight begins as Juri spin a knife to Gaston.

Gaston somehow manage to escape, they guy on his right was the one to hit the blade.

All scavengers pointed their attention to Juri.

Juri release one arrow on the archer guy on the elevated terrain who snipe with his bow and arrow. Then Juri took is sword and make his stance. Altogether three men attacked him at once, Juri dodge three sword causing the opponent to move backwards, another incoming guy on his back.

Juri twisted back and stab the guy, after that Juri make a boost by running to a tree and jump back to s***h two scavengers, Juri's blade is shining its sharpness making one hit to cause a paralyzing effect.

One guy was about to hit the boy, but Juri embed a knife to his neck. Another guy pull a string of arrow in short distance, but Juri even manage to hold the arrow on his finger and break it to half then stab the other half to his opponent.

Three opponents is running towards but even in short distance Juri was able to throw three arrow in a single shot. There were coward scavengers who run away, Juri didn't bother the distance, he pull off four consecutive arrow, and it hit every single one of them.

Juri left his attention with the boy, Gaston was about to grab the boy to cover up.

Only that Gaston was killed by an arrow on his back, saving the boy out of the spell. However, it was not Juri who take the shot.

Someone at far on a black hood, face was covered finish the fight. Juri grab the boy who passed out.

When Juri glance back to the one who help him, it was gone already.

Only one thing Juri had in mind.

That anonymous guy is badass archer, hitting the target almost 50 meters away.

Juri brought the boy to the water stream, he was on his senses now. He told Juri that he might be under the spell for four days already, without sleep, and without food.

"What happen to you really? And what is your name anyway?" Asked Juri.

"My name is Macku, me and my parents were about to go to Lynu to start a new life, when suddenly scavengers caught us.

Gaston took away my parents and used magic on me." Said the boy.

"Do you know where your parents is now?" Asked Juri.

"I don't know, i hope they get to Lynu safe. All i can remember is that, we were on the borderline to Lynu right before you enter the first town."

Juri remember the couple he buried.

"I had prepared something for you. You must have been starving."

Macku didn't bother to say anything about the food, he just dive in and eat as much as he can. The two had to get along and rest their worries for now, not knowing someone is sneaking on them.
