"Janet, I-I found out about my mates yesterday night." I was staring at my shoes waiting for her to reply however when there was no response, I looked up and found her staring at me with wide eyes and no movement.
Her reaction made me even more anxious. I kept down my plate and quickly shook her. She blinked as if she had returned to Earth after disconnecting with who knows which alien residing somewhere else.
"ISN'T THAT A VERY GOOD NEWS!"
"Shush! Don't yell Janet!" This girl, I swear! Earlier she was quiet as if dead and now she suddenly explodes attracting everyone's attention to us. I am glad she didn't throw her plate on someone during her showcase of surprise.
I could already feel others' gazes on her and hear the unspoken words, 'Are they crazy? ' hanging in the air.
